Zauyogi is a very haughty person, proclaiming himself as Saganbo's advisor, as well as labeling himself as being "a cut above the rest" compared to the other convicts. Despite this trait, he doesn't believe in idle boasting.

Zauyogi faces Yamcha in battle

When the Galactic Bandit Brigade head for Earth, Zauyogi is one of the criminals who heads off in order to steal some of the planets treasure. However Yamcha shows up to confront him. Zauyogi gets the better of Yamcha and Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu soon arrive and join his side. Zauyogi tells them his name and his position as adviser in the Galactic Bandit Brigade as well as claiming that he is a cut above the other lowly convicts as the trio prepare to face him in battle. He is able to get an advantage against them as the battle continues to play out.

Power

Zauyogi is able to easily overpower Yamcha. Later he's shown to still outmatch Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu's combined might.
