Wild Hunt (ワイルドハント Wairudo Hanto) is a variation of Amazing Impact used by Vegeta.
Overview[]
The user starts the attack by knocking the opponent away with an uppercut, then uses a flying dash to get around behind the opponent to deliver an aerial version of Amazing Impact's double kick to send the opponent flying away again, then flies up into the air to deliver the Double Axe Handle portion of Amazing Impact knocking the opponent into the ground, before powering up with their arms & legs outstretched like a star, then performs a double fist flying charge (similar to Nova Strike) to presumably finish off the helpless opponent.
Usage[]
Vegeta used this technique on Captain Ginyu (in Goku's body) shortly after killing Jeice. Though the uppercut and Amazing Impact portions of the technique were successful, the flying charge portion of at the end of the attack was interrupted by Ginyu's failed attempt to steal Vegeta's body due to Goku using the opportunity to return to his body.[3] Thus, the final portion of this attack was never completed in either the manga or anime.
During the Tournament of Power, Vegeta used the attack (minus the final charging strike) to knock Team Universe 9's Hop off the fighting stage, eliminating her from the tournament.[4]
Video Game Appearances[]
Wild Hunt was named in Xenoverse 2 where it appears as a Super Skill after the 1.05.00 Update. It can be obtained by the Future Warrior by purchasing it from the TP Medal Shop. Though it could originally only be used by the Future Warrior, both Wild Hunt and Focus Flash appear as part of SSGSS Vegeta's Battle Suit skillset after the 1.07.00 Update, as they were not part of any of his skillsets before said update. As part of the 1.15.00 Update DLC, this Super Skill can be added to the custom skillset of Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta (GT), Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, & Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta after purchasing it separately for each of them in partner customization. Though the final portion of the attack was never actually completed in the main series, in Xenoverse 2, the attack ends with the double fist flying charge hitting the opponent (though usually this occurs in the air as to hitting the opponent on the ground) which will slam them into the ground if they are hit by it in the air.
In Dokkan Battle, Vegeta uses a completed version of the attack under the name of Amazing Impact, combining the initial melee part of the Final Galick Cannon followed by the Amazing Impact portion of the attack and finishing with the Nova Strike-like charge into the ground. It is the 18Ki Super Attack of LR-rarity character [Saiyan Pride] Vegeta/Goku.
In The Breakers, the Survivor prepares to perform the double fist flying charge portion of Wild Hunt on Captain Ginyu (in Future Trunks' body) who attempts to use Body Change on them to escape Future Trunks' injured body, but Future Trunks (in Ginyu's body) jumps in the way of the attack reversing the Body Change. Like Vegeta, the Survivor's use of the attack is interrupted due to the Body Change being undone.
