The Western Desert (西の砂漠) is an area far west of North City, and the location of one of the Destron Gas machines.[1]

In the OVA, the Destron Gas machine is protected by Jiku alone, who is defeated by Gohan.

In Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, Gohan goes to the village to get a light and then to the pyramid near the center of the map, where he fights Jiku. Enemies encountered here are Kinkarn, Ponkarn, Arbee, Gure, and Skud.
