The Warrior in Black (黒衣の戦士, Kokui no Senshi)^[2] is a mysterious hooded figure who bears heavy resemblance to Goku, and appears in the Pseudo Universe. He is an ally of Shroom's, who seeks to put a stop to the Crimson-Masked Saiyan's plan to complete Project Zero Mortals.

Appearance

The Warrior in Black greatly resembles Goku, sharing his signature spiky black hairstyle and dark-colored eyes. He has three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two bangs hanging to the left. His hair also stands up in the front with four spikes and three bangs in the back. A notable difference to Goku is he has a darker skin tone and sterner, more defined eyes.

Before revealed to be similar in appearance to Goku, the Warrior in Black hid his identity with a hooded black cloak, as well as a brown masked undershirt to hide his mouth. He also wears a gray belt and black boots tipped with gray at the front and the heel. In addition, he has large scars on both hands.

Personality

The Warrior in Black is mostly silent. During his confrontation with the Crimson-Masked Saiyan and his reveal to be similar-looking to Goku, he states that he threw away things of his past, including that of his name.

New Space-Time War Saga

Main article: New Space-Time War Saga In the anime, whilst in the Pseudo Universe, the Warrior in Black is shown on top of a building, overlooking the streets with a red glint in his eye and observing Goku as he runs from the Frieza Force.

During the fight between Goku and Hearts, the Dark Dragon Ball-infused Golden Frieza and Golden Meta-Cooler, and Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, the Warrior in Black interrupts to swiftly defeat the Wicked Bloodline and acquire their Dark Dragon Balls, taunting Broly into facing him alone soon after and angering the Crimson-Masked Saiyan.

Warriorinblack unhooded ssj 1 — The Warrior in Black as a Super Saiyan

During another attack on humanity by the Crimson-Masked Saiyan, the Warrior in Black confronts him in battle, surprising Goku Black by pulling back his hood to reveal his Goku-like Super Saiyan appearance. Using Super Saiyan (with an aura resembling that of Super Saiyan 2), he is able to fight on-par with the Crimson-Masked Saiyan when he uses Super Saiyan Rosé 2, though the Crimson-Masked Saiyan still holds a slight advantage. However, he is eventually beaten when Crimson uses Super Saiyan Rosé 3. The Crimson-Masked Saiyan attempts to finish off the Warrior in Black with a finger beam, but he is saved by the untimely arrival of Ultra Instinct Goku and Controlled Berserk Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta.

The Warrior in Black is incredibly powerful, able to defeat the Dark Dragon Ball-infused Golden Frieza and Golden Meta-Cooler without any trouble as well as take on Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, all while remaining unreadable by Hearts.

Against the Crimson-Masked Saiyan, he fought on-par with him while both were in their base forms. As a Super Saiyan, he was able to keep up against the foe's Super Saiyan Rosé 2 for some time, but slowly became outmatched as the fight progressed. However, once Crimson ascended to Super Saiyan Rosé 3, the Warrior in Black was completely outclassed and was left at the mercy of his foe.

EX Dragon Fist - A rush technique that causes a giant gold serpentine-dragon to appear as the user punches through their opponent's body.

The Warrior in Black is capable of taking on the Super Saiyan state. His transformation noticeably produces numerous bio-electric sparks, much like Super Saiyan 2.

In this form, he is able to hold his own against Super Saiyan Rosé 2 Crimson-Masked Saiyan, despite being gradually outclassed .

Warrior in Black's fight with Crimson Masked Saiyan in the anime is similar to that of Vegeta and Goku Black in the Dragon Ball Super manga:
- The fight took place in a city.
- Both Crimson and Vegeta used versions of Super Saiyan 2 to fight against their respective base form opponents.
- Warrior in Black used the Super Saiyan form with a Super Saiyan 2-like aura, like Goku Black.
- Warrior in Black almost was outclassed by Crimson, similar to how Super Saiyan Black was outclassed by Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta.
