So guys, in only a matter of days (November 19) I will have been at this wiki for two years! So in order to celebrate, I was thinking we should have a blog where everyone can post their memories of the wiki so far. After all, we've had a lot of fun times here. :)
For me, I have a few I really remember. So here are some of my firsts:
- The first time I came on chat: Almost two years ago, I first entered this chat and met Matt (Goatee) who would go on to be one of my greatest friends and mentors. He was an admin at the time (How cool is that, that the first person I met was an admin?!)
- Meeting my friends for the first time: I can remember the second time I entered chat, and I was met by many new faces. That is when I equipped the famous happy Goten avatar (the one I will be equipping on the 19th to celebrate two years of DB wiki) and began roleplaying. I can remember meeting LT, UG, SSJ4 Vegito, and MsBulma especially on this day, as well as Tjakari.
- My first best friend: My first best friend on the wiki was Little Trunks/LT. When we met, he roleplayed as Kid Trunks and I was Goten, and it was like something clicked when we met. I often like to say that we "became best friends instantly", because we really did!
- My first Australian: Isn't it obvious? Barku! The funny thing was, I knew nothing about him when I first met him and I was actually really intimidated by him...then he started cracking jokes and being goofy and I decided I liked the guy. Haha, but Barks and I are best bros to this day. Love dat guy.
- My first time meeting 10X: I can remember the first time I really spoke with and met 10X was the time he came in chat to promote me to moderator, which is among my happiest moments on this wiki so far. Of course, I think of 10X as more than just the admin that promoted me. He's my buddy now. :)
- My first Wikia "family": I was quickly adopted as SSJ4 Vegito and MsBulma's nephew in the early days of the wiki, and I daresay it was a great experience! Of course, they later just became my "Dad" and "Mommy" later on. I love both of them so much. I also became TUK's son and Brohan's brother! They were and are still very awesome family! :D
- My first run-in with girls: Excluding my not-so-fond memories of when a certain user tried to get me to marry them, I think the first time I started hitting on girls was with my friend, SKG. Haha, it's almost cute how the little me adored her so much. Of course, she's just a friend now, but I did end up being her boyfriend for a while at one point, so I wasn't totally friendzoned. ;D
- First kickban: The first time I kickbanned someone, it was on my first day as a new moderator. Baka told me the basics and then he let me try it out on someone that spammed. I don't even remember who it was...but it was pretty cool. ;)
- First time being kickbanned: Actually, I've only been kickbanned (yes, back in the days before kick and ban divorced) twice, and neither of them were because I was breaking rules. The first time, I asked BardockGoku to kickban me because I was curious about what happened when someone was kickbanned. After that, he and I orchestrated him kickbanning (my second kickban) me as a prank. All I can remember is that we got the reaction we'd been hoping for. I can remember people saying "KOTSU! NO!" and "WHY BARKU, WHY?" when I came back. It was pretty darn hilarious!
- My first rap with someone on the wiki: This moment I shared was with my first best friend, LT. I had made this BADASS rap about the wiki and describing my wiki family and friends. I can remember being only my little fifteen year old self, practicing it as though LT and I were going to be doing it in concert the next day, haha.
- My first scuffle (that I remember): My first scuffles with another user that are actually memorable happened to be around the time I was a chatmoderator. Baka and I didn't get along so well in those days...
- The first computer that failed me while I was a user here: My laptop which I called "Old Smoky". It nearly broke in half. It was aptly named for the smoke it billowed out at me on one occasion.
