From the instant I learned Raditz stays dead as a villain in canon, I believed that he deserved much better than that. I understand why Goku and his descendants would be disgusted with the bad sides of their Saiyan heritage, but Akira Toriyama didn't think this far ahead when it came to the possibility of Raditz redeeming himself. Vegeta continued to live, join the Z Fighters, and have a family with Bulma of all people, but the only consideration that Raditz was given, as far as I know, is that he wasn't placed in the complete monster list on TV Tropes, which may or may not have anything to do with that Fateful Brothers thing or those reported times of Raditz actually feeling emotions in the anime. I'm not quite sure what to think of Nappa, but he did seem genuinely loyal to Vegeta and slightly considerate to Raditz, so there may have been hope. It's possible scenarios of them turning good or something which has made me look through fan fictions. I know it's not the real deal, but it's imaginative. Right now I'm looking and offering ideas for this story [1]. It's pretty much a what-if of Vegeta and his comrades betraying Frieza earlier, but with AIs as assistants, and is so far looking good compared to most random stories. Not that the story I linked is random. I actually applaud the writer for being very descriptive and open-minded.

As for the information about Frieza being second in line to an alien throne instead of already being on the throne, I think it was somewhat unnecessarily. Sure, the evil family thing has worked for some villains like Jabba the Hutt in the extended Star Wars universe, but I think Frieza calling himself all powerful at one point before being respectful to his father and brother is counterintuitive. If he's supposed to be the ruler of the entire galaxy and maybe a few other galaxies, you'd think he should stay there instead of calling himself the heir to the galaxy later on. Yes, I know King Cold is supposed to be a secret, but he didn't appear enough to be listed as even more evil than Frieza is. Still, I can think of a backstory of Frieza being born as a pawn to his family. Pampered at one point and kicked senseless the next to test how powerful he could be in competition with his brother. Then, before anyone knew it, he masterminds his familicide to take power and wealth for himself before forging an Empire Corporation (or whatever describes the Planet Trade Organization) to obtain more wealth and power through a War for Fun and Profit trope.

What does everyone else think? I'm actually kind of curious what fan theories others have for the PTO's origins.

Here's my opinion on manga, anime, and visual novels. [2]
