Universe 5 (第5宇宙 Dai go Uchū), the Balanced Universe (バランスの宇宙 Baransu no Uchū), is the fifth of the twelve universes in the Dragon Ball series, it includes planets, stars, and a large amount of galaxies. Universe 5 is linked with Universe 8, creating a twin universe. Universe 5 is one of the four universes which have an average mortal level above 7, and thus its inhabitants, both mortal and divine, have been exempt from being erased, the others being Universes 1, 8 and 12.
