"The truth is, I ain’t no hero of justice, or anything else like that. But anyone who tries to hurt my friends... is GONNA PAAAAAYYYYYY!!"
Goku before using the technique against Jiren in "The Greatest Showdown of All Time! The Ultimate Survival Battle!"

Ultra Instinct (身勝手の極意 Migatte no Goku'i) is a variation of Super God Fist used by Goku in his Perfected Ultra Instinct and Perfected Ultra Instinct (Giant Form) forms.

Overview[]

With a furious roar, Goku flares his divine blue aura even higher as he rockets forward at unfathomable speeds, delivering a destructive punch to his target.

Usage and Power[]

Goku uses the Ultra Instinct to attack Jiren after the Pride Trooper tried to attack the eliminated members of Team Universe 7. Driven by fury at Jiren's dishonorable act, the Saiyan rushed forward in the blink of an eye and smashed his fist straight into Jiren's face. The force of the punch was so strong that it created a beam, which pierced through several floating chunks of Kachi Katchin.

In the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku charges in to Moro (Earth absorbed) to destroy the crystal on his forehead but is halted by Moro's tendrils and has his energy drained. Later, he manages to finish the technique by using a massive ki avatar to hold Moro off, allowing him to close the gap and deliver the decisive blow.

Video Game Appearances[]

Dragon Ball Heroes first names and debuts the technique as Ultra Instinct.

In Dragon Ball FighterZ, it appears as the opening blow of a rush attack under the name of another of Ultra Instinct Goku's techniques, Silver Dragon Flash.

In Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, it is named Strike of Fury and appears as Goku (Ultra Instinct)'s Active Skill.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Goku (Ultra Instinct) will perform this technique as the combo finishers for his standard Weak Attack combo and Strong Attack, Weak Attack, Weak, Weak, Weak combo.
