They are where Piccolo fought Android 17 and where Cell absorbed Android 17 and Android 18.

Archipelago in Budokai 3
The Tropical Islands were named in Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II. Enemies encountered here are a Mercenary Clan, Sabertooth Tigers, alligators, ladybugs, and pterodactyls. This area is also where the Seven-Star Dragon Ball was located right before the Cell Games in The Legacy of Goku II (Cyborg Tao brought it to Vodka's Fortress in the anime).
The Islands area is a playable battle stage in the Butōden series, Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 (called Uninhabited Island), Budokai series, Dragon Ball Z: Sagas, Budokai Tenkaichi series, Raging Blast series, Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, Dragon Ball Z For Kinect, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball Legends.
In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball Legends, this area is called Archipelago (列島).
