This specific diorama portrayed Tien being struck by Goku kick at a vertical angle and the expression in his eyes depicting the surprise element as he falls back and takes the full force of Goku's powerful strike. The base of the diorama features a very nice touch as it is one of the only pieces to be tilted to the side in order to better depict the direction of the physical attack, with lines of purple, red, and yellow lining as the base add emphasis on the speed of the strike. Super Warriors miniature figurine set with Tien

  • Super Warriors
  • Release date: 1998

Released in 1998, this Tien figurine came with Bojack, Super Saiyan Gohan, Piccolo, Super Saiyan Goku, and an adult Gohan. The packaging differs greatly from the future releases as it was a sealed box rather than a cardboard with a bubble. However, the cardboard backdrop with bubbles became the norm for “The Saga Continues” releases in the forthcoming year. This Tien figurine was in his martial arts fighting stance posture.

Irwin Toy pretty much re-released all the previous Super Guerriers figurines in 1999. Tien was no exclusion as when series 7 was released, he was included with the others from the previous lineup. The mini-figure remains the same aside from the basic packaging layout being larger by the bubble and cardboard size. However, the contents remain the same and the figures remain unaltered. This series is considered the miniature releases that went along with Irwin’s basic 5 inch lineup. Standing at 2 inches, the miniature Tien figurine comes in his fighting stance as he maintains a gripped posture.

This is a part of the Saga Continues series releases by Irwin and features numerous other characters that were a part of the Super Guerriers lineup. Tienmodelkit-B

Dragon Ball Z Tien model kit

  • Irwin Model Kit Series 2
  • Release date: 2000

A very memorable addition by Irwin is the Model Kit series, which included some assembly-required characters. The set included some characters such as Tien, Piccolo, Super Saiyan Vegeta, and adult Gohan. This model of Tien was very unique and featured him as a 6-inch sculpt. For one, the figure's clothing is rubber rather than basic plastic. Also, the figure comes together quite nicely, fitting into place and allowing for the clothes to come on top of the figure base. Tien's model features his white shirt and green pants and his body movement is quite a bit more mobile in comparison to the basic figures offered by Irwin. The model kit stands at about 6 and a half inches, this being a bit greater in height when placed next to the 5 inch base figure. Although there's a great amount of work put into these model kits, they were produced at a lesser number by assortment in comparison to the basic figure line. Other model kits in series 1 which were released in 2000 were that of Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Super Saiyan Future Trunks, Super Saiyan Gohan, Teen Trunks (with long hair), Super Saiyan Goku. Series 3 was released in 2002 and included Dr. Gero, Perfect Cell, Android 16, and Super Saiyan Teen Gohan.

Standing at 6 inches, the figure, now a newly made mold and unlike the previous Jakks piece, came with a block of wood. The series involves a fighting motion triggered by a switch (in this case, Tien's double-punching action), which allows the fighter to attack the included accessory (block of wood) and halve it. Aside from the wood, also included was Tien's punching action. The box art for the release was designated with a light blue pattern and a Piccolo image in the backdrop cardboard. This Tien figure features a green coloring scheme for his clothing and a brown cape.

Trilogy Series 1 Tien figure

  • Dragon Ball GT Trilogy Series 1
  • Release date: 2005

Released in 2005 by Jakks Pacific, this rare Tien figure is an extremely well-crafted model. The figure is part of the Trilogy Series 1 set, which was a masterpiece collection offered by Jakks, including a span of three series: Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT. The box mockups are designed to signify a specific display method, one that has a square base to go along with the initial bubble and cardboard backdrop. The Tien, designed unlike any of the previous models, showcases him with his white shirt and green pants. The paint job is also distinguishable and one of the most intricate offered by Jakks Pacific. Also, the figure is quite rare, likely one of the more rare of the Trilogy series figures, making the character harder to come by.

This scene depicts the struggle Tien puts up against Semi-Perfect Cell as he unleashed a repertoire of Tri-Beam attacks to stun the monster and buy time for the androids to escape. There's also a distinctive logo mark on Tien's leg which reads "DBZ 10 Year Anniversary." The box mockup is highlighted by a galactic blue background and numerous sparks as the backdrop. Both Tien and Cell are featured on the box front in pictorial format (although the photo clearly shows Cell in his Perfect form as opposed to that of his Semi-Perfect form) and the packaging shape is that of an oval shape. The Tien figure remains a unique model as this clothing is only available in this packaging offered by Jakks and this 2-pack is quite a rarity as it was released in scarce quantities, coincidentally making it highly collectible.

The actual mold is quite unique and unlike other models, as many and most of the bases are just a redone instrumentation of other figures and/or just plain bootlegs of other sculpts. This one, however, is a new model in and of itself and was sculpted and sold as is. The paint job isn't particularly brilliant but it is unique and isn’t on the poor side as is the case with most bootlegs or copied imports. Standing at approximately 7 inches tall, this specific model is rather well-crafted and stands out amongst numerous others imported from these Mexican Manufacturers. He is seen wearing his green pants and red belt with training material and his top off. This specific figure is quite immobile aside from having joints at his shoulders and neck, but it is a unique piece.
