    • What an incongruous title and post.

      Anyway, DBS.

    • In terms of strength or story?

DBS Broly wins in both btw

    • DBS Broly is much stronger. At least 100X. However (people think this is odd) but I like DBZ Broly better. His story and the reason why he is who he is make sense to me.

    • First thing people need to understand is scaling. If Broly from DBZ was to appear in DBSuper he would be scaled to what he was compared to them in the DBZ Movies. Meaning LSS DBZ Broly would be doing the same to Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo and Future Trunks from DBS that he was doing to them in them from the DBZ Movie. Not to mention DBZ Broly's power is bottomless (says so on his page, it is from Daizenshuu) and he would continue growing in power until he caught up to whatever enemy he faces. DBZ Broly seems to be able to control his LSS form better to the point he can talk and do malicious things of his own will. So if DBZ Broly met DBS Broly in the DBS timeline he would be equal in power at the least. I liked DBZ Broly because he was an evil powerhouse Legendary Saiyan. I would like to see Broly DBS have to face Broly DBZ, he would finally face a Saiyan who isn't a fusion who would be dangerous to him. I think he would have a theme like DBS Broly but it would be remixed to have a more evil tone to it or something, maybe like this. https://youtu.be/cxwJtggHIew

    • Not to mention that DBZ Broly has many other forms too. It was only shown that he had Legendary Super Saiyan, but it was rumoed that he had Legendary Super Saiyan 2 in Second comming. He in some games has been shown to reach Legendary Super Saiyan 3. And in the heroes manga, he was seen as a Super Saiyan 4. DBS Broly has more power as it was seen that he broke a scouter that could go up to at least 99,999 on a scale while original Broly was only said to be able to go to 10,000. But it is true that OG Broly was more developed. If we count the Wrathful State on top of his awakening of Raw Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan Grade 1 I mean) DBS Broly has a 500X multiplier. It has also been said that Legendary Super Saiyan has the same multiplier as SSJ2, so his multiplier would be 1000X.

OG Broly has forms farther than this, and if it is true that the legendary forms are 2X stronger than the regular equivelent (Which is unproven beyond speculation and in series eye-scaling) SSJ3 Broly's multiplier would be 800X while his SSJ4 form would probably be 4000X. Higher if you want to add the scaling of GT which says SSJ4 is 80X stronger than SSJ3. If we do that, then LSSJ4 would be 64000. Considering that DBS Broly is only 100X stronger than DBZ Broly... you see my point. And this is before even mentioning Legendary Super Saiyan god .

      god Broly

That is a form that Broly reached. As you said above, Broly keeps reaching higher. Now that I think about it, DBZ Broly might still come out on top.

    • Original Broly was holding his power back on purpose. His base form's power was astronomically higher than what he showed. His retricted SS form was so strong that Vegeta's SS2Grade's Big Bang Attack and full force kick didn't do shit to him. Like I said the power scaling is the only difference between the 2 Broly's powers. LSS DBZ Broly would tie DBS Broly in power if DBZ Broly was in DBS

Actually, Vegeta used a Photon Bomber to blast Broly, not a Big Bang Attack.

    • Whichever one it was he didn't hold back, he fully intended to end Broly with that.  DBZ Broly has bottomless power anyway, he was never said to have a limit over-all. So power wise there is no saying one is stronger than the other when you scale them both in DBS. One is evil and insane, the other is good and sane. I think that would make for one interesting meeting

    • Then DBS Broly has deeper potential though, I think. But OG Broly is more developed with more forms and better control. We know he can bust a galaxy... that's for sure.

    • DBZ Broly inspired Kale... Super Broly wins.

    • But we forget that Berserk Kale appeared stronger than Controlled Kale. They say she grew stronger, but I think it's wrong. She gained control. She should have creamed Goku. Besides, we haven't seen LSSJ3 in there. If it's just LSSJ DBZ Broly against LSSJ DBS Broly, then it's certain that DBS would win. I'm just wondering if DBZ Broly's advanced Legendary Super Saiyan forms could add to the Power that BBZ Broly has and could give him an edge. If we include games and the like, then DBZ Broly has access to a god form. Thing is, this Broly could only be defeated by a fusion character, so he could be as powerful as the New Broly.

    • Kale in the anime was pathetic in her base form, she was weak as can be. Broly from DBZ was not pathetic at all, he was actually far stronger than what Kale has shown. The difference in strength would be noticeable with Kale able to tank a SSGSS Kamehameha and her power was high enough that she could fight against SSGod Goku. Anime Kale is just a weakling with an incredible transformation. DBZ Broly was by no means a weakling.

Manga Kale was more close to DBZ Broly in power, her base form was strong too and her LSS form was thrashing Golden Frieza around and once her power rose high enough she was overpowering SSGSS Goku until Frieza kicked him out of the way. Manga Kale even acts more like DBZ Broly minus the psycopathic mental derangement that creeps out into the open once the fighting starts.

    • I think I would like Manga Kale more. I think in the anime, they were trying to say that she's stronger than she lets on, but is to timid to show it. Only when she goes LSSJ does she really let her proverbial hair down.

    • Kale in the anime is a tragic misuse of a character. Kai is absolutely right that they were saying she is much much stronger than she lets on but she was far to annoying for anyone to care. At least in the manga she was open with how conceited she is and actually did something.

DBZ Broly wouldn’t be power-scaled to the level of Blue and he does not by any means grow in strength infinitely. There is a cap to each form it’s just so high they couldn’t see it. Otherwise what would be the point of him having the many other transformations. DBS Broly has the ability to grow astronomically during fights, from losing to SS to ragdolling Super Saiyan Red. And in their most powerful forms to date DBS Broly went toe-to-toe with a fusion of Goku and Vegeta meanwhile DBZ Broly went toe-to-toe with a fusion of a normal sucker and Goku.

    • The best thing about anime Kale is that she isn't like literally every other character... The worst thing about her is that what she is is trash.

    • One thing I did think was cool about Kale (A little annoying, but still.) was how she was constantly following and talking about Caulifla. I don't know if she was like that in the Manga, but I kinda liked it. If it were true that Caulifla is supposed to be like Goku in Universe 6, then it's kinda funny how she obssessivly stalks her and can't think of anyone else but her. It reminds me of DBZ Broly. Kakarooooooot! Cauliflaaaaaaaaaaaa! It just makes sense to me. Funny how they both went Legendary Super Saiyan when it came to their obsessions. Broly when he sees Goku, and Kale when she fails Caulifla. I just wish that Kale's berserk form had remained. She needed to be edgy and keep those blank eyes. When they killed that form, they killed everything I liked about Kale.

    • Caulifla was the only person who was there for and cared about Kale apparently. She isn't just saying it, Kale really sees her as a Sister and best friend, while Broly HATED Kakarot from his infant trauma(he associated Goku's crying with everything that happened that day, making him hate Goku even more)

    • I always thought of it like a dark mirror alternate universe. Everything looks similar, but everything is distorted somehow. Goku and Caulifla share many similarities, however Goku is nice, and Cauliflas is... well she's not. Broly saughtered billions, was sadistic and evil. Kale is kind an sweet (In anime) and shy. While Broly hated his obsession, Kale loves it. It's dark mirror-ish.

    • That is how it was made to be, while in the manga she is simply made to be a non insane Broly, incredible base form power to boot with her being fast and strong enough to sneak around Golden Frieza and do physical damage to him. manga Kale is in a different dimension of power compared to anime kale, while manga SS Caulifla is said to be stronger than Goku from Namek Saga as a SS she isn't near strong enough to become a SS2 but in the manga its the opposite with her natural power being high enough to  control SS easily and become a SS2.

    • I'm trying to decide which is more cannon then the other. Toriyama created this character, right? He focussed more on Anime, though I heard that he started to dislike it durring the Tournament of Power. The question is: did Akira Toriyama originally plan for Kale to be like she was in Anime? Or in Manga?

        Loading editor
    • The manga is the canon continuation, though it started after the anime. Skytree Expo event confirmed that. Kale was made by Toyotaro and the animators, and Toriyama liked it so he expanded on that by adding Caulifla with her.

    • Toyataro created Kale? LOL! He was the one who put DBZ Broly in AF. He likes Broly. Now I can think him for creating Kale. Kale is awesome.
