  • When I was watching the Universal Conflict Arc I was thinking hey this arc is kinda like the Goku Black Arc with the plot and story so I had made this Discussion about why the Universal Conflict Arc failed and what makes the Goku Black Arc better.

    • Slightly better power scaling. Not being a glorified advertisement. In the manga, following through with killing all humans.

    • Agreed but the problem with the Universal Conflict Arc its other being a Screaming BUY THE CARDS!!!. Its how hearts plans works compare to Zamasu and Goku Black plans.

      1: Goku Black and Zamasu has one major goal Kill all the mortals on earth and apart from one episode when they at the cabin .Its GO GO GO!!! For them thats why Goku Black and Zamasu is a threat and that is if we dont stop them they will attacked not just Future Trunks timeline but also Gokus timeline as well.

      2: Hearts on the other hand is similar to Goku Blacks and Zamasu but unlike them he wants to kill zeno which is a good idea on paper but how he did it is this. Instead of going ahead with his plans he just toys around and does not take it seriously as any other villian.

      3: The other problem is how the froms add to the story in for Goku Black he unlocks Super Saiyan Rose due he gets beaten up by Goku and due to this he gets a Zenkai. In Hearts cases it goes like this first form hes gets it to stop super saiyan blue and does not take it seriously then second form he unlocked from using a universe seed and again hes does toys around and one point throws a planet at Gogeta. How would i cared if Hearts does not take a new form he just got seriously. Its like if Goku Black unlocked Super Saiyan Rose Shinka but instead of using the new form to beat up Goku or Vegeta he just keep on talking about how cool and powerful this new form is that's Hearts Transformations in a nutshell.

    • Too true, also wondering if it’s such a bad idea to kill off Zeno. What’d he do that qualified him for protection? I get it that being a good guy means you don’t let people just get murdered but Zeno is a full on multiversal tyrant basically. Might just be me but I don’t like Zeno.

    • I say screw Zeno, every Zeno needs to be erased.

    • Thats my is my other problem with the Universal Conflicts Arc it makes me said the Eight deadly words.

      {I don't care what happens to these people}

      I'm sorry but i don't care about the story or the characters due to the arc goes on for too long and the characters being boring. This got to the point when i just wished for the Grand Priest to come down and erased Hearts and his allies out of existence. You know the reason why Dragon Ball is so good becurse we cared for the characters same for the Goku Black arc why we cared about stopping Goku Black and Zamsau.

    • Are you sure Goku Black got Super Saiyan Rose from a zenkai boost? I thought he was just flexing on Goku and also making fun of Super Saiyan Blue.

      This comparison is a bit unfair as you're putting Heroes up against the best Saga in Super. However, I feel if Heroes was a proper anime instead of a promotional one they'd have more time to build tension and make you feel for the characters like they did in the Future Trunks Saga. Having the episodes much shorter means less charcter building time and more just fighting time. The threat should feel very substantial because we're talking beings strong enough to disable the universes strongest fighters with the flick of a wrist, somehow avoid erasure, and possibly challenge the literal god of all the universes. Hearts supposedly has the power to destroy literally everything if he wanted to and plans to eradicate all the gods. This should be absolutely terrifying and build a ton of tension, as how can any of them hope to stop something that strong? However, the short time to build that tension hurts the show. This is a perfect example of why those episodes that don't include a lot of fighting are important in Dragon Ball. It's the same problem the Universe Survival Saga has, except they can avoid it a little bit by dragging out the fights and adding those non-fight tension building interactions where they can. Future Trunks Saga had the perfect balance of tension building and fighting as did a lot of Z Sagas, which is what makes it so great.

    • SSRose is the SSGSS form for a divine Saiyan. It is acquired through strengthening a divine Saiyans SS form to the point it surpasses the strength that a Super Saiyan God form would have, divine Saiyans do not seem to have a SSGod form as they do not need one, going by how Black was stronger in his base form than any other base form Saiyan shown at the time(Broly and Cunber are the only Saiyan shown who may be stronger in their base forms than Black is in his base form) Black literally IS a Saiyan God.

    • Yeah that's what I thought. It wasn't from him getting beat up or anything, he could already do it because Goku could. It's just different because he has actual divinity.

    • He had to re-awaken his forms in the manga.. idk about the anime though

      Yes Goku Black got SSJR from a zenkai boost after he fights SSJ2 Goku and gets warped back to the future.

      Thats the problem when you do comparisons you had to compare to the best saga of Super about why the other saga works why SDBH Universal Conflict arc failed so the writers can improve.

      The Universal Conflict Arc should be terrifying due to like you said Hearts had the power to destory anything. But due to how he keeps on toying around and the fight with Gogeta just ends with him throwing a planet to him its stop being terrifying and becomes some what boring at worst or laughable at best. Like imagine if the Cell Games had Gohan unlocked SSJ3 and has the power to throw a moon at Super Perfect Cell that will be stupid becurse Cell has the power to blow up a solar system as shown with his Solar Kamehameha
