The Third Demon World is one of three sub-realms within the overall Demon Realm. It is said to be the largest of the three Demon Worlds.
Overview[]
The Third Demon World consists of two suns, a purple sky, rocky wastelands, forests, and other vibrant features. Goku notes that, despite the suggestion that the Demon Realm would be a totally creepy place, the Third Demon World is very Earth-like. The realm contains the Sea of Darkness, which can lead to one's demise if they accidentally fall in.
The main feature of the Third Demon World are its floating volcano islands, which produce thick, pungent gas that causes the air to become heavy, making it difficult to move normally. Additionally, magic craft such as Glorio's spaceship need to be flown with care around the volcanoes, and in general should be flown slower to avoid being hampered by the air resistance. Other points of interest include a worn-out statue of Demon King Dabura and the Demon Realm Tunnel, a hole path that connects the three Demon Worlds together.
As suggested by Glorio to Shin (a Glind whose kind used to live in the Second Demon World) the structure of the Demon Worlds suggest that the Third Demon World is lesser than the First and Second, and that inhabitants of the Third are generally viewed poorly by those in the First and Second.[1]
Great Fiend Flowers (大鬼花 Ō-onibana) grow here, with their Sky Seeds being utilized as a method of travelling through the heavy air.[2]
