The WB is a defunct American television network which (along with FOX and UPN) was one of the original broadcasters of Dragon Ball Z in the United States.
History[]
Several WB affiliate stations aired the first two Canadian-voiced seasons of Dragon Ball Z from 1996 to 1998 on weekend mornings to great success. In 1998, Funimation moved the show from first-run syndication to Cartoon Network's Toonami block, where it became a breakaway hit.
Dragon Ball Z briefly resurfaced on The WB in mid-2001 as part of a joint venture between their national children's block Kids' WB and Toonami.
Affiliate stations of The WB also aired the syndicated BLT dub of Dragon Ball in 1995.
