Ever since Goku became Earth's greatest hero and gathered the seven Dragon Balls to defeat the evil Boo, his life on Earth has grown a little dull. But new threats loom overhead, and Goku and his friends will have to defend the planet once again in this continuation of Akira Toriyama's best-selling series, "Dragon Ball Super"![1]
The Universe's Greatest Warrior
Granolah is the last Cerealian, a people who were wiped out by the Saiyans and Freeza's army many years ago. When he finds out that the observatory on his planet has found the long-lost twin to the pair of Dragon Balls from planet Cereal that the old Namekian Monaito keeps in their home, Granolah steals it and makes a wish that will allow him to start his quest for revenge against the Saiyans—to become the strongest being in the whole universe! Meanwhile, the Heeters work behind the scenes to put Granolah out of his misery once and for all…by enlisting Goku and Vegeta's help![2]
Story Thus Far[]
A long, long time ago, Son Goku left on a journey in search of the legendary Dragon Balls—a set of seven balls that, when gathered, would summon the dragon Shenlong to grant any wish. After a great adventure, he collects them all. Later, he become the apprentice of Kame-Sen'nin, fight a number of vicious enemies, defeats the great Majin Boo and restores peace on Earth. Some time passes, and then Lord Beerus, the God Destruction, suddenly awakens and sets out in search of the Super Saiyan God. Goku, by becoming that Super Saiyan God, manages to stop Beerus from destroying Earth and starts training under him with Vegeta. After some time, the ancient villain Moro escapes from the Galactic Prison. Moro proves too much to handle during the battle on New Namek, so Goku retreats and starts training. Goku and Vegeta get their chance for a rematch on Earth, but Moro then absorbs the Seven-Three and eventually fuses with the planet itself. Spurred on by Meerus's last wordsof encouragement, Goku achieves Ultra Instinct and defeats Moro. Later on, deep in space, Seven-Three's dismembered body becomes a highly sought-after prize. Central to these events is Granolah—the last surviving Cerealian, and someoen with a profound grudge against the Seiyans…[2]
Volume introduction by Toyotarō[]
"I took a ton of back and forth with Toriyama Sensei before I got the green light on the designs for Granolah, the Heeters, and the other new characters in this arc. But he basically handed me the designs for the Sugarians and Monaito (see the end of this book). The Sugarians are just the cutest. What a privilege for me to draw these characters!"[2]
