Piccolo tries to convince Kami to fuse with him

Krillin feeds the remaining Senzu Beans to each of the fallen warriors. Vegeta flies off in anger having been beaten. Future Trunks explains how the androids back in his timeline were different. The androids in this timeline were much more powerful but they seem to be less cruel and also there wasn't a No. 16. Piccolo flies off to try and convince Kami to fuse with himself as it is the only way to stop the androids. However, Kami believes that the androids are not all that evil and that the only reason they fought against the Dragon Team was because the Z Fighters attacked first. Kami then decides to wait and see what happens as Piccolo sits down waiting until Kami agrees to merge with him.

Trivia

  • At the end of May 2010, prior to recording the dialogue for this episode, Takeshi Aono suffered a stroke shortly after his surgery for an aortic aneurysm. Veteran voice actor Bin Shimada was brought in to replace the majority of Aono's anime roles, including the voice of Kami in Dragon Ball Kai. Shimada had previously provided voices for Dragon Ball characters, such as Broly and West Kai, but this is the first episode to feature him as Kami.[1]
