The New Generation (ニューヒーロー誕生！！, Nyū Hīrō Tanjō!!; lit. "The Birth of a New Hero!!") is the thirty-sixth volume of the original Dragon Ball manga series. It is released in North America as Dragon Ball Z volume twenty, with the chapter count restarting back to one. It shows the entire Great Saiyaman Saga.

Summary
Gohan, now 16, is attending Orange Star High School in Satan City. Gohan assumes the identity of the Great Saiyaman to fight crime in the city, but is quickly found out by Videl, Mr. Satan's daughter. Gohan eventually teaches Videl and Goten how to fly. The 25th World Martial Arts Tournament soon begins, and Goku arrives to spend one day with his family and friends on Earth.
