"The Masked Warriors" (仮面の戦士たち Kamen no Senshi-tachi) is an extra chapter of the Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Dark Demon Realm Mission! that is chronologically set before the tenth chapter.
Summary[]
Xeno Bardock arrives on an asteroid sensing a weird Ki and sees a broken Time Breaker mask on the ground, causing him to wonder if Towa and Mira are up to something again.
Elsewhere Xeno Paragus, who had been flung through a wormhole by Dark Broly, narrowly avoids an energy wave from the Dark-Masked King who had been sent to recover him. His Time Breaker eyepatch had been cracked by Dark Broly's attack, freeing him from the Dark Empire's control, and he resolves to take out the Dark-Masked King so that he can rescue Broly. He attempts to fight the king, but his punch is easily blocked and the king charges an attack to kill him.
Super Saiyan 3 Xeno Bardock
Xeno Paragus is saved by Xeno Bardock, who blasts the Dark-Masked King and kicks him in the face hard enough to send him flying and damage his mask. Bardock says that he'll free the Dark-Masked King from his brainwashing, but the king responds that he had wanted the power so that he could become the ultimate Saiyan king, throwing off his robes to reveal his true identity as King Vegeta. Adding that he has already gained the power to control darkness, he fires a powerful blast at Xeno Bardock that sends the Saiyan flying. King Vegeta reveals his intentions to travel back in time and use his new power to prevent the extinction of the Saiyans by killing Frieza and proclaims that he'll make even Beerus cower at his feet.
Xeno King Vegeta offers to spare Xeno Bardock, who acknowledges the difference in strength between the two of them, but he refuses. Xeno Bardock expresses his view that changing history is worthless and that they must accept the past. He picks up his broken mask, managing to resist the darkness and take the power as his own to transform into a Super Saiyan 3. As they fight, Xeno Paragus takes the opportunity to stab Xeno King Vegeta in the side but is in turn obliterated by the Saiyan king.
Super Saiyan 3 Xeno Bardock jumps away and fires a fully charged energy wave at Xeno King Vegeta, who retaliates with his own blast. The attacks clash, creating a massive explosion that envelopes both fighters and obliterates the asteroid.
Meanwhile, in the Demon Realm, Mechikabura and Salsa return to Mechikabura's Tower now that the Dark Dragon Balls have all been gathered and Mechikabura is able to make his wish.
