"The Bird of Catastrophe" (災いの鳥 Wazawai no Tori) is the first chapter of the Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Big Bang Mission!!! manga.
Summary[]
Xeno Trunks in the Demon Realm
In the Demon Realm, Xeno Trunks and Xeno Pan are shown carrying out a mission to defeat the remainder of the Demon Realm Soldiers when Xeno Trunks is contacted by Chronoa. She tells him with urgency of how Tokitoki has disappeared to another place in space-time, though she knows where he is located. Xeno Trunks initially plans to go alone but ends up taking Xeno Pan with him and the two are teleported to Tokitoki's apparent location while Chronoa worries that the disappearance could be a result of the "Bird of Catastrophe" Dogidogi having been released.
At Capsule Corporation, Goten and Trunks examine the bird Tokitoki who they say fell from the sky and are soon joined by Goku and Vegeta. Just then Xeno Pan too falls from the sky and lands on top of Vegeta. Recognising the young Trunks, Xeno Pan goes over to introduce herself but Xeno Trunks cuts her off, saying that they are members of the Time Patrol. Xeno Trunks quietly reminds Xeno Pan that she can not go telling people her name lest it tamper with time though Vegeta soon realises the truth having previously met Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta on the Prison Planet.

The Gods of Destruction on Earth
Suddenly, Beerus and the other Gods of Destruction appear, wanting to destroy Tokitoki. Unbeknownst to them Tokitoki activates his God Power for an instant to seal the power of the Gods of Destruction. Beerus fires a blast straight towards him but it is deflected by Xeno Trunks after having transformed into a Super Saiyan God. Quitela claims that Beerus is taking it easy on Earth due to his fondness for the planet and goes to destroy it himself but finds that his Hakai power is being blocked by Tokitoki. When Goku asks what Beerus is up to, he explains that the Oracle Fish told him a prophecy of a strange bird who would appear in Universe 7 and be the cause of a great catastrophe. Wanting to defend the bird on Xeno Trunks' behalf, Goku too transforms into a Super Saiyan God.
Goku battling Beerus in space
Whis appears unexpectedly and teleports both Goku and Beerus into space so that they can fight without causing the Earth harm. As Goku gears up into Super Saiyan Blue, the two begin fighting and despite Goku's best efforts proves to be little match for the God of Destruction. After sending Goku hurtling into a nearby rock, he notices roots from a tree. Whis reappears with Vegeta, Xeno Trunks, Xeno Pan and Tokitoki and Whis explains that the other Gods of Destruction have returned to their own universe to check on things and that the roots they see are coming from a distortion in space-time and that touching them will have a bad effect on the flow of time. Whis also tells Beerus that they are after the wrong bird.
Fu with Dogidogi
Fu and Dogidogi appear and he thanks them for taking part in his experiment. Tokitoki and Dogidogi immediately begin fighting and Pan soon finds herself struggling for breathe as she starts losing energy. Fu tells them that that is due to the trees roots. The Universe Seed from Fu's last experiment, has now begun to sprout across the universe and will eventually grow to the size of an entire galaxy allowing Fu to be able to complete his main experiment. Vegeta meanwhile recalls that the Universe Seed was seemingly destroyed along with Hearts. As the others too begin to feel the loss of energy, Beerus realizes that Fu is destroying the universe that way and creates a barrier out of ki to protect the universes energy from being sapped away.
Fu recalls Dogidogi and the two leave. After Whis heals the others of their energy drain, Beerus orders them to go after Fu. Meanwhile in Universe 7's Hell, Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta are sent on a mission by Chronoa after sensing another disturbance and find |a mysterious old man who asks them to join his experiment.

Anime, Game, and Manga Differences[]
- In the game and anime, Xeno Trunks and Xeno Pan are at the Time Nest when Chronoa explains to them the disappearance of Tokitoki.
- Goten and Trunks discover Tokitoki in the manga and game whereas it is Goku who discovers him in the anime.
- Piccolo, Gohan, Android 17 and Krillin do not make an appearance unlike in the game and anime.
- In the manga, when Beerus fires a blast at Tokitoki it is stopped after Xeno Trunks deflects it as a Super Saiyan God. In the anime, Tokitoki stops it himself after flapping it's wings.
