Taopaipai & Master Karin (孫悟空突撃, Son Gokū Totsugeki; "Goku's Charge") is the eighth volume of the original Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was released on July 10, 1987 in Japan and in May 2003 for the English version. It concludes the Red Ribbon Army arc by finishing the Commander Red Saga.

"On days when I do inking, I get up around noon, eat, and then from 1 p.m., I begin inking with my assistant Matsuyama-kun; from 7 to 8, I eat dinner, walk my dog, and feed my bird; Matsuyama-kun goes home at 9, and I continue to work while watching TV; I get in the bath at 11; after that, I stretch out and relax while working; and I go to sleep around 4 a.m. This is the pattern that most of my inking days follow."
Summary
Tao Pai-pai kills General Blue and Bora, and defeats Goku with little trouble. After training with Karin, Goku descends the tower and defeats Tao Pai-pai. Adjutant Black assassinates Commander Red, but unfortunately for him, Goku takes down the entire Red Ribbon Army in an all-out assault.

Differences from the anime
- In the manga, Tao is defeated quickly in his second fight against Goku. In the anime, Tao climbs up Korin Tower himself while Goku waits at the bottom.
