Tanmen (タンメン Tanmen) is a girl who lives in a village attacked by InoShikaCho. She only appears in the Dragon Ball anime.

Biography

When Goku fought Tien Shinhan and was pinned beneath a tree, Tanmen found and saved him. From Goku's story, she realized that Tien, Chiaotzu and InoShikaCho had fooled them by pretending to get rid of InoShikaCho.

After Goku protected InoShikaCho, who had been abandoned by Tien, the other villagers chased him out of town. However, Tanmen brought the mayor with her and appeared in the nick of time, saving InoShikaCho's life, and clearing Goku's name.

  • Tanmen's name is based on "Tanmen", a Japanese noodle.
  • Tanmen resembles the princess of the Flower Country who appears in Akira Toriyama's Dragon Boy manga, which he used as a prototype for Dragon Ball.
