Super Sayain 4

Can Vegeta go ssj4 whenever he has a tail or does he have to use the blutz wave generatror?

The only instance of Vegeta going Super Saiyan 4 was with the blutz wave generator, which leave this question unanswerable besides speculation, sorry Arieus 00:13, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

You obviously weren't paying attention. When Vegeta runs out of energy and powers down, Goku asks him if he can power back up again and he says right then that he can't without the Blutz wave generator, which was damaged in the fight, so the question WAS answered in GT. 69.248.162.128 23:05, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

Vegeta Transformations

I think we should divide vegeta Transformations to clarify them, like natural transformations, baby transformation, and blutz wavz transformation, for vegeta. so people can see exactly how he makes the transformation because this way would lead certain fans to believe he can just transform in to any of the listed tansformations on his own. (Goten.GT1 21:41, 20 November 2008 (UTC))

while a super saiyan 4 is vegeta able to transform into the great ape

About Vegeta's quote

Wouldn't ITS OVER 9000 be Vegeta's most memorable quote? --LocC 09 01:08, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

In terms of the actual series and the personality of the character, it doesn't really seem to be that meaningful. It's mainly just well known because of the internet jokes surrounding it. (And to top it off, it's actually a mistranslation.) -- Nonoitall talk contr 00:35, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
I'd have to say in my opinion. Vegeta's most memorable quote would have to be " You are a fool! I'm going to crush you, and throw you into the wind!" ╠ŔííŁ3Ŷ ËмP╣ 22:41, May 14, 2010 (UTC)
For me, I would say that Veheta's most memorable quote would be "The only one who's going to defeat Kakarot is Me." Willotaku :3 04:55, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

It's over 9,000 is the one that I remember the most. Ghost Leader 17:07, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Over 9000 really doesn't count... The one I remember best besides another that doesn't count (Final Flash), is "You may think he's the most powerful being in the universe, and maybe he is. But like you, he does not have true pride!" Joegt123 21:41, November 6, 2010 (UTC)
"Welcome to Super Vegeta's Big Bang Attack! Welcome to OBLIVION!!" (Budokai 3)

Vegeta:"Is that OK?" Tien:"As a matter of fact, it isn't"

Tell me, does a machine like yourself experience fear? (to Jinzoningen 19)

I'll make some of my special sauce. (to Nappa wanting to eat Piccolo)

The sleeper has awakened, I am the Prince of all Saiyans once more!

Kakarot! Wait, that's Broli...

Men in pink, how bizarre! I'm a warrior... not a variety of flower! (about the BADMAN shirt)

I agree with "OVER 9000!!" being one of Vegeta's most memorable quotes, but another would have to be "SAD FOR YOUUUU!!!!!" in the Ocean dub. (50.132.44.2 01:13, December 24, 2011 (UTC))

My favorite quote is "Fresh out of the factory with no warranty and already broken". I don't know why.

I think we should mix articles!.

Shouldent we mix Majin Vegeta and Vegeta because it is the same person they are both Vegeta just one got power from somebody. Please add more reasons for me.Vegerot 02:00, 16 February 2009 (UTC) no because if we did that then we would have to add gogeta and Vegito to him because they are also part of him Watshisname 02:21, 16 February 2009 (UTC) I agree that the Majin Vegeta article should be integrated into the Vegeta article's Majin Vegeta section. And Gogeta and Vegito are separate characters, so their case is much different from Majin Vegeta, who can hardly even be considered a transformation. Storm talk – projects 02:26, 16 February 2009 (UTC) but then u would have to integrate all the other little changes of other people Like what? i don't know cant think of one That depends. Majin Vegeta isn't really a transformation, it's a buff placed over Vegeta that is meant to put him under Babidi's control. His increased power and the M on his forehead are the only really significant changes in character, in addition to his wild temper with Goku, and a section of Vegeta's article would probably suffice to explain the form. I agree that certain other transformations of characters should be integrated as well, such as the many forms of Cell, but unlike other characters whose forms are given separate articles, Majin Vegeta can hardly be considered a transformation, and thus is in slightly more urgent need of merging than articles like Perfect Cell. Storm talk – projects 02:41, 16 February 2009 (UTC) ok that worksWatshisname 02:45, 16 February 2009 (UTC) Why hasn't it been merged yet you just said OK!Vegerot 21:05, 25 March 2009 (UTC) I think u should also look at my talk for piccolo that is a very good point

I think that "impossible" should be vegita's new quote because it is his favorite word

Actually, I think "Pride" is his favorite word, as he frequently talks about saiyan pride. Any speech about pride is Vegeta's quotes. (50.132.44.2 01:15, December 24, 2011 (UTC))

Speculation/What-If

In the Vegeta Saga, Vegeta's power level as a Great Ape was 180,000, which would theoretically be enough to take down the entire Ginyu Force (since that was the power level of Goku when he tore them limb from limb); why he never did prior to loosing his tail is unknown (perhaps he was afraid of the wrath of Frieza).

I'd assume for the same reason he didn't cross Zarbon and Dodoria, power level isn't everything. However, the great ape form can't be assumed at his leisure and only happens on certain occasions (full moon's light energy). On the other hand, the ape form doesn't detract from Vegeta's thoughts and doesn't leave a moronic brute like it did Gohan and Goku when they went ape, but it would still render him useless on many levels: power level is not the only deciding factor. It is possible to easily overcome the great ape form: with it, it brings many flaws. One of them (as stated by Zarbon in the manga):
Zarbon: I don't become uselessly huge like the Saiyan ape form, but my power increases substantially.
In regards to that, I'd say that the Saiyan ape form may increase Vegeta's power, but it detracts far too many things in terms of speed, stamina, agility, etc. In retrospect, even Yajirobe of all people was capable of catching Vegeta off guard. This means that Vegeta's power level was useless to the extent that it would make any difference. - User:PrinceZarbon/sig 14:31, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't share the same opinion. The reason why someone like Yajirobe caught Vegeta off-guard as a Great Ape it was because Vegeta couldn't feel power levels by himself at the time. Now to make something clear. I think that when a Sayan turns into a Great Ape, it's agility and speed doesn't decrease, but it might be possible that it's stamina decreases drastically, as Goku noticed when Vegeta created an Artificial Moon. Now for the question: I think that Vegeta, not only depending on certain circumstances for his transformation but also was afraid of Frieza's soldier's power levels, namely the Ginyu Force... However, this is just speculation. We will never truly know... - Vegeta - San

the Ginyu Force were also made out to be a lot stronger then they really were. I mean even gohon and krillen nearly defeated guldo and although it was filler yamcha, tien and chatzou managed to beat four of them even stating theyre not as strong as they thought. Prehaps vegeta also over estimated their power. Oni Dark Link 17:33, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Actually the Ginyu Force is very poweful. Tien, Yamacha, and Chiaotzou managed to defeat the Ginyu Force because they had just recieved special training from King Kai.

Vegeta's Eye

An I (bad pun) the only one who wonders why Vegeta can be blasted in the eye by Goku in season one, but be completely fine by season 2 without even a scar. --10reapaer01 17:07, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

I'd have to guess that the Frieza Rejuvination station he was in on Planet Frieza no. 79 at the beginning of the Namek Saga may have something to do with that [seeing how he also had broken legs, feet, a broken chest, and gosh-knows-how-many serious injuries from the fight.

The liquid in the chamber is made of a plant only found on planet Plant (Vegeta after it was cconquered) that completely heals any wound with minimal scarring. It was used in plant form prior the the Saiyans' reign to heal Bardock in the Episode of Bardock OVA special. Vegeta and Roronoa Zoro

I have noticed that Christopher Sabat the Funimation acotr for Vegeta in th Dragonball series and as well, the Funimation voice actor for Zoro in One Piece, in one saga, wear the exact same thing. I find this to be a neta little trivia fact. During the Majin Buu Sag,. Vegeta wears a dark blue tnak top. During the Skypiea Arc, Roronoa Zoro wars a dark blue tank top. I have not heard anybody point this out yet, so please put it into consideration and then add it to the Trivia section of Vegeta.

This means absolutely nothing. Many characters wear similar garb, it doesn't qualify as trivia. Much of these unrelated instances have been removed prior and will continue to be removed if they are inserted. - User:PrinceZarbon/sig 04:33, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

Relationship with Son Goku

File:Amazing friendship.jpg

Goku and Vegeta's symbolical rivalry/friendship

Goku and Vegeta 's character developments are subplots that made the series so enticing to viewers and manga readers alike. The contempt, rivalry, and hatred that each one portrays gradually decreased to develop into a less-friendlier relationship[1] (i.e. sparring partners).

During the Saiyan Saga ,Vegeta was shown as an unstoppable, furious warrior whose pride is solely anchored to his Saiyan race. Carrying the title as the Sayan Prince , he values this pride more than his camaraderie with Nappa, his bodyguard. After blasting off Nappa, Goku knew that Vegeta is a villain to be taken very seriously, and not to be toyed with.

When battling at Gizard Wasteland, Vegeta offered a fighting job with Goku whom the first sees fit to be partner. This insults the challanger after seeing how Vegeta blasted his former partner, Nappa, whom Goku fought in a warm-up battle. Great Ape Vegeta put up a decent fight to the point of breaking Goku's skeletal system until Krillin and Gohan came to help Son Goku. At the last resort, Great Ape Gohan knocked Vegeta out with the help of Goku and Krillin's telepathic messages.

The very first time that Vegeta will retreat[2] from a fight is his infuriating battle with Son Goku

Fusion Reborn

I don't want to sound stupid, but when exactly did vegeta die, allowing him to be in hell for the events of this film?

When he sacrificed to kill fat buu but failed. Benitoperezgaldos 07:32, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

But Goku is fighting Pikon in the otherworld at the start of the film, therefore Majin Buu hasnt been released and Vegeta hadnt sacrificed himself, also when Vegeta does kill himself, Goku doesnt return to either heaven or hell before being resureccted by elder kai

Or maybe he did while offscreen. -- Kamehameha.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 10:15, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

In my opinion (and feel free to disagree) The only was for Fusion Reborn to fit into the main story line is if Goku, as a SSJ3, defeated Majin Buu, THEN showed the SSJ3 form to Goten and Trunks, causing him to die. THEN in order for the Earth to have some protection Piccolo trained Goten and Trunks with the Fusion Dance. Vegeta and Goku would both be dead, Goku and Pikkon could have a rematch and Gotenks would exsist Arieus 00:20, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

The movie happened in between Goku running out of time and returning to other world and finding Gohan on the Supreme Kai's planet. Him fighting with Pikkon and the fact that Gohan is seen on earth are just plot inconsistancies that should be overlooked (although Kibito could have temporarily sent Gohan back to earth to deal with the villains escaping from hell).

Super Saiyan 3?!?

Hey, I was searching here today for some info and on Vegeta's Appearence section it says and I quote: "Vegeta's hair never grows in length (he told Bulma that a pure Saiyan's hair doesn't grow from the day they're born) besides when he transforms to Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2nd Grade, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and Super Saiyan 4." Vegeta's achieved every transformation in the series except for the SSJ 3. Can I remove it, or is it there for any specific reason?

Vegeta achieved Super Saiyan 3 in several games, as detailed in the article. Please leave the info as is. -- Kamehameha.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 02:45, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

TRIVIA

why is it that when ever someone has alot of trivia someone always wants to cut it down. is there any need to I dont think there is. somtimes when im board and i dont feel like reading a lot i just read the trivia so anyways please nobody take down any trivia please the more the better

Vegeta's new quote

i like when he says "HEY FRIEZA (explosion) HAHAHA alright rule number one never turn your back when you're up against vegeta, because with me the battle is never over and theres a good chance i've got a couple tricks up my sleeve hahaha...FEEL MY WRATH!"

or when right after that when he says "Never underestimate the power of a true supersaiyan. So while you gloat about how strong you are, i'll be the victor"

I like those quotes aswell. However, it should be noted that quotes are used to describe (or in other words, give to the reader a general idea of what he/she is about to read) the character's personality in a referenced section and the quote must be something meaningful to the section , so favorite personal quotes do not count as much as some people would. Vegeta the strongest six times

  1. When he first came to earth
  2. When he turned super saiyan in Android Saga
  3. When he battled semi-perfect Cell
  4. Great Saiyaman Saga, Goku was dead, Vegeta surpassed Gohan, Vegeta was doing brutal training, while Gohan was going on dates and to the library. When Vegeta in his regular form battled Dabura outside of Babadi's ship it was a draw. Gohan struggled to beat Dabura as a super saiyan.
  5. When goku was turned back into a kid
  6. When he was possessed by Baby

i wud not call vegeta and dabura's encounter a battle as it was nothing morre than just a few strikes which dabura dodged. but yes, overall vegeta is stronger than dabura as it is said by vegeta himself and also gohan dat vegeta cud easily of beaten dabura if he fought him. TheDarkPrinceReturns! 02:12, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't say Vegeta was the strongest when he first turned Super Saiyan. Sure, he beat Android 19, who managed to beat Goku, but remember, Goku only lost because of his heart disease. So at that moment, Goku was still the strongest.Sonic &Scrab Master True gamers lesbian the Scott Pilgrim series 13:25, June 14, 2011 (UTC)

First of all, Vegeta was stronger when he went SS. Goku couldn't scratch 19 even before he started losing his energy. However, Goku didn't surpass Vegeta until after he Ascended, so it doesn't count as 2 instances. Plus him as Baby doesn't count (it wasn't all his power) and Kid Goku GT was still stronger due to his (albeit weakened) SS3 and Goku was stronger throughout the Buu sagas. The real list is:

  1. When he first came to earth until Goku trained on the way to Namek
  2. When Dende healed him until Goku healed completely
  3. When he turned super saiyan in Android Saga until Goku Ascended

* Vegeta's power became equal to Goku when he went SS4

* So Vegeta and goku surpassed each other 3 times each

Unsupported Information Presented

This article needs cleaning up. In particular, there's a lot of unsupported information presented as fact, and only one reference listed. I think that we should stick to known facts about the character, and not romanticize him and his relationships, or overstate personality traits. NinjaHousewife 02:07, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

Could you bring up specific examples of when you think this is the case? -- Kamehameha.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 03:07, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

Vegeta and Goku

I think it should be mentioned in the trivia section that during two periods in Dragonball Z/Kai and in the manga that Vegeta is stronger them Goku. When Vegeta first arrives on Earth and after he becomes a Super Saiyan. Also it should be noted that even though Goku was laying a beating into Vegeta in their first battle. Goku had to use the Kaio-ken x3 to do it. Later when Vegeta becomes a Super Saiyan, Piccolo even believes that Vegeta is stronger the Goku. Not long after that Vegeta and Trunks do the year in a day training he gains even more ground in surpassing Goku. It is only after Goku and Gohan's almost year in a day that Goku surpasses him and he never again becomes stronger then Goku. I know what your think 'Majin Vegeta was even with Super Saiyan 2 Goku' true but Goku had his Super Saiyan 3 transformation so he was only fighting on an even playing field for Vegeta to vent out his frustrations. Tripodssj6 01:06, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

The problem is that during even their first fight, they go back and forth in terms of power for the entire duration of he battle. Maybe Vegeta had more base power, or more stamina, but then again he couldn't use the Kaio-ken and Goku can. Because of the ambiguity, we leave this comparison out. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 01:47, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

That is my whole point, Goku needed a technique to match Vegeta in the beginning. Vegeta however was just powering up. As for their Super Saiyan transformations I see that a more of them gaining more power then as a technique, like the Kaio-Kan. Tripodssj6 18:43, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

It's actually a transformation, like Frieza's forms, that allows for more power to be used. Nitpicking between "base" power, techniques that allow more power usage, and transformations that have a similar effect is just too tedious an issue to say what constitutes any given readers opinion of who is more powerful. Because of this, we prefer to simply state all the facts regarding events as they played out, and leave everyone to decide for themselves. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 03:18, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

You make a good point about them constantly going back and forth in power. I've made this comment before (and it's just my oppinion), but my reasoning is of each time Goku and Vegeta surpassed each other is the following:

  1. When he first came to earth until Goku trained on the way to Namek
  2. When Dende healed him until Goku healed completely
  3. When he turned super saiyan in Android Saga until Goku Ascended

*Vegeta's power became equal to Goku when he went SS4

I think there should be a Trivia point which makes clear that Vegeta is the cause of Dragon Ball Z's three toughest villians; Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu, becoming so powerful. He made Frieza angry enough to transform, he let Cell achieve his perfect form, and thanks to Vegeta, Majin Buu was releashed from his seal. Willotaku :3 04:45, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

SSj2 against Bebi Gohan and Goten

Where is the evidence of this? It appears he's only a normal Super Saiyan against them. I can understand him being a SSj2 near the end right before/during Bebi possesses/possessing him, but not before. I know Toei forgets lightning in most instances of SSj2, but still.

All of the Saiyans and Half Saiyans were at least SSJ2 in GT. Vegeta became SSJ2 at least as early as his death and return to Earth during the battles with Buu. Some will say that Toriyama made a statement that he did it before the tournament that preceded the Buu Saga but that wouldn't be possible because if it were then Vegeta should not have fought Goku to a standstill as Majiin Vegeta. He should have destroyed him or at least forced him to use SSJ3 during the fight because he would have SSJ2+, which he clearly wasn't. 69.248.162.128 23:04, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

Could someone correct these 2 mistakes? I don't want to register just because of these 2 little mistakes. Thanks! 94.228.220.7 20:37, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

why did vegeta need the blutz waves mashine? ...i can explane

many fan think that vegeta was only able to transform into a ss4 because of bullmas mashine . but that is only half way true . I can explane ...its accualy pritty simple . you can only obsorb blutz waves fromj the moon (or an artifishal moon / self made by the sayin elits , like vegeta used when fighting goku) if you have a tail. so that why he needed to hav a tail.....as soon aas vegeta turned into a great ape he blew the machine up and so he could not get any more blutz waves. Vegeta is known to be able to control the great ape mode so thats why he got in control so fast( with the help of gokus voice) He was able to turn into a gloden great ape by him self ( only goku and vegeta have enogh power to do this) so that meens if vegeta were to have a tail he also would be able to transform into a ss4 like goku .( witch was cut off by yajarobi) .....many know may wonder : well why did he sudently distranform ( turn back to normal) with nothing draining his energy......it was becaus he din not hav a ,,real grown tail`` his tail only grew temporally becaus of the mashine . And that way also only a temporally time of how long vegeta could stay a ss4 . but if he would have a tail he also could have transformed into a ss4 any time like goku ( witch could have helped goku against the 4 and 3 star shadow dragons

You are only partially right! Bulma's machine caused Blutz Waves to be artificially created in his body, causing him to temporarily grow a tail. He powered down because artificial Blutz Waves only last for an hour as stated by Vegeta to be the duration of the power ball. The Blutz Waves also remain for the for the full hour even if the source is destroyed (evident when Turles destroyed his power ball to keep himself from transforming after Gohan had). When the Blutz Wave levels returned to normal, he lost his tail. Since SS4 is a version of controlled Great Ape, he needs a tail to achieve the form. Even though Goku doesn't need Blutz Waves to transform, Vegeta still needs the additional effect of growing his tail to transform. If he later grew his tail back perminently, he'd be able to transform at will.

Omega Shenron destroyed Bulma's Blutz Wave machine not Vegeta. After Omega attacked Trunks Bulma came to his defense with the machine. Omega then destroyed it with a finger beam I believe. Anyway it was him, not Vegeta. Banan14kabFile:Dragon.gif 22:42, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

Vegeta... Only Pure Blooded Saiyan Revived by...

Hello, I have did my research and found an answer. Vegeta is the only pure blooded Saiyan that was killed by Frieza and revived with the Dragon Balls in the canon series out of all the Saiyans that died from him. Should this be written in the Trivia section? Ripto22475 03:54, August 8, 2011 (UTC)Ripto22475

Hello, what do you mean by same answer sir? I was using information from the canon series only, so this should be correct, no? Was there another pure blooded Saiyan revived with the Dragon Balls after the death at Frieza? Ripto22475 04:45, August 8, 2011 (UTC)Ripto22475

It's part of the storyline, not a trivia. You can also say that he is the only pure blooded Saiyan to have killed Nappa on Earth, or the only pure blooded Saiyan to have children with Bulma... Jeangabin666 08:35, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

Haha, sorry, I just realized that read it wrong. No, I wouldn't say that's really trivia, since you're limiting it a lot with killed, who killed him, revived, and Saiyan. -- SSJ4 Goku(5) 10X Ka.me.ha.me.ha ..... talk ..... contrib. 23:14, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

Vegeta Profile Picture

Hello, I think there should be some kind of vote to what Vegeta's profile picture should be. The picture now, is from way later into the series in the Majin Buu Saga. Goku's picture is of him in the Saiyan Saga early in the series and it fits him well. Should Vegeta's be from that time era too? I kind of like this picture better. Has anyone else noticed

Have you noticed that since Vegetas father is King Vegeta, that means Vegetas last name is Vegeta, so his full name is Vegeta Vegeta and also theres Tarble Vegeta. It's over 9000!! 04:24, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm that is a good point, but it would only work if Vegeta was an earthling. You see, Saiyans do not have last names, they only have their first (At least that is what is said, no last names have been presented in either the manga or anime). That is why Trunks full name is Trunks Breifs. It is not Trunks Vegeta. But that is a good catch, because Kings here in the real world, usually have their last names in their title. Kingcold6ColdSon&FatherRipto22475KingColdNVKingColdHoldingTrunksSword 21:18, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

It's not just Saiyans. I notced that DBZ isn't known to give full names alot. Bulma's family name "Brief" and "Tien Shinhan" are the only 2 I can think of. However if he did have one, Vegeta would be his last (family) name and his first name would be the mystery. Not that this is relavent to DBZ at all, but I've noticed another bizarre naming convention among another alien species on another show. The Bajorans on Star Trek use their family name first.

The strongest

In the trivia section, it says Vegeta has been the strongest in the series four times, one of them being when he fights Android 19 as a Super Saiyan. Where does it say that he is actually, in fact, stronger than Goku? Hopefully, someone can confirm this for me. BubblesNoShakuran13Goku 20SSJ4 1 03:43, August 15, 2011 (UTC) Well, in terms of having a recorded power level for both Vegeta and Goku in the Android saga does not exsist. The only reason is it stated like that here, is because goku was weakened because of a heart disease he had. Goku was not at full power because of his health. It is unknown if Goku would be stronger if he had not contracted the disease, but as the story happened, Vegeta was indeed stronger than him at that time. Also Vegeta has been training non stop to achieve his Super Saiyan transformation. But vegeta was only the strongest there temporarily, until Piccolo fused with Kami. Kingcold6ColdSon&FatherRipto22475KingColdNVKingColdHoldingTrunksSword 21:14, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, but I don't think being "weakened" actually makes that character a weaker character. We should measure how string a character is not by how strong they currently are in regards to scouter power level, but how strong they can be. For example, when Goku turned from SSJ3 back to Base form in the battle against Kid Buu, he lost almost all of his energy. This doesn't mean that people with some energy were stronger than him, like Piccolo or something. But only a fool would say that Piccolo was stronger than Goku. BubblesNoShakuran13Goku 20SSJ4 1 21:19, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

True, but according to this site's policies, you have to go by what is shown, and can not have any well he was holding back, or well he was tired. If that was the case with characters not being "weakened", and should show how strong they "can be", then it would list frieza's 100% full power as being superiour to Goku's super saiyan form on namek, because a lot of people are claiming and have a page that has Frieza's full power without being damaged at 200 million. Shakuran it's when Piccolo says "And physically he's reached a new plato, I've never seen a power quite like this before. It's Radical just amazing" and Gohan says "Do you think he's stronger then my dad now" and Piccolo says "I think so". All this adds up to is that Vegeta was a bit stronger then Goku. Yamcha acts friendly to Vegeta after the Cell games Saga

After seeing Vegeta's reaction to Trunks death Yamcha was seen being friendly with Vegeta. Yamcha tells Future Trunks the event to make him feel proud of his father. Later he saves Vegeta's wife and is seen attending a party at Vegeta's house . I see no reason why my edit was reverted seeing as how I listed all my sources. UnderwolfYamcha 07:06, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

Okay cool, but this has nothing to do with your edit. The first change you make is wrong, and the second change does not belong in the section, since it only has to do with Vegeta and Yamcha, not Bulma. Plus, when you say "Yamcha was seen being friendly with Vegeta," but then say you are referring to Yamcha telling a story to Trunks, it doesn't connect. Also, when you say "Vegeta's wife" or "Vegeta's house," that's actually Bulma, and Bulma's house, and Yamcha has always liked Bulma so it doesn't necessarily say he likes Vegeta. I'm not saying Yamcha didn't eventually warm up to Vegeta slightly, but your evidence is unrelated. -- Darbura1688.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 08:10, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

What Yamcha told Future Trunks was that Vegeta lost it when his son died and feriocously attacked Cell to avenge him. The reason he said this was so Trunks would realize Vegeta truely loved him underneath his tough exterior. And while it is partially Bulma's house, its also co-owned by Vegeta at that point. Yamcha is seen smiling, talking and enjoying himself while over in both the mentioned sources. In the anniversary special he's even looks happy with everyone else when Vegeta meets Tarble. They're not best friends, but theres obviously no grudge or hatred. Would you like it better if I moved the info into another section? UnderwolfYamcha 08:28, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

So the first thing you say is true, but then the reasoning you try and give for Yamcha has two problems. First, you're speculating, because you don't know what Yamcha was thinking. Speculation is not allowed on this site, we can only use facts. Second, while Yamcha made Trunks happy that Vegeta loved him, Vegeta likely would have been mad having Yamcha guess about his feelings and sharing them at all. We don't know why Yamcha did it, and the better guess is that he likes Trunks, and probably doesn't have any regard for his disrespect of Vegeta's trademark Saiyan pride.
As for who owns the house, we don't know that, since there's no record of marriage laws in Dragon Ball. Plus, ownership doesn't matter, what matters is why Yamcha went, and we know that it was to see his friends. What we also know is that Yamcha likes Goku, Bulma, Krillin, etc. Whether or not he likes Vegeta is not apparent simply from his presence. -- Darbura1688.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 08:38, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

The way Yamcha talked to Trunks, all but stated he was trying to make Trunks feel good. They're not close friends, but Yamcha is friends with Vegeta's family, visits his home, and even shows happiness for him sometimes. There is obviously no grudge or hatred between the two. UnderwolfYamcha 09:05, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

Yamcha is friend with Future Trunks and Bulma. His relation with Vegeta after the Cell Games is the same as during the Garlic Jr. Saga and the Future Trunks Saga. Jeangabin666 14:29, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

I agree with Jeangabin666, Yamcha likes Bulma and Trunks, but that doesn't mean he likes Vegeta just because they're related. -- Darbura1688.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 16:40, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

Again, Yamcha isn't crazy about Vegeta but he's always seen being polite and respectful to him after the Cell Games Saga. Yamcha is obviously not jealous or hateful of him. UnderwolfYamcha 17:31, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

He acted like this too right before King Cold's spaceship arrived on Earth. Jeangabin666 18:04, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

Do you mean polite to Vegeta? UnderwolfYamcha 18:13, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

Your edit says that he made peace with him, and lists a specific time when peace was made. Based on just being respectful during fights and the context of the section before the point of the edit, a better version of the edit would be something like, "later, we no longer see visual evidence of the Yamcha's jealousy." However, this is rather insignificant, doesn't relate to Bulma (so it would be written somewhere else), and the same message is conveyed by just not talking about Yamcha at all. -- Darbura1688.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 22:35, October 16, 2011 (UTC)
Do not edit an article while a discuss about the thing you want to edit is in progress. In response to the accompanying edit summary, no it is not okay, since you talk about Vegeta becoming friends with Yamcha and now Tien too without any evidence besides not killing them when they're fighting against the same enemy. Vegeta acted this way when fighting with the Z Fighters on Namek, but constantly looked for openings to betray and kill them. Think about how by the Buu Sagas Vegeta still wanted to kill Goku, his closest ally among the Z Fighters, and kills hundreds of innocents just to pick a fight. He was probably never impolite to those audience members but they clearly were not his friends either. Vegeta considers humans to be disposable, with the possible exception of bulma. -- Darbura1688.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 22:47, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

In the original Japanese Bulma was worried if Goku was ever going to comeback she was not worried about Vegeta running out of fuel.

Vegita's trivia mistake

There is a wrong info on the Trivia section.

On the Portuguese and Spanish Dub, Vegeta never called Goku by his Saiyan birth name, thus Goku's Saiyan birth name was never revealed in the Portuguese and Spanish Dub of the anime. Interestingly, in the Portuguese Dub of Dragon Ball GT, Vegeta calls Goku by "Cachalote", which is the Portuguese word for Sperm Whale (even though that if pronounced correctly, it actually resembles the English pronunciation for "Kakarot").

Its no even close to thruth. In the portuguese (witch was renoumed by jump as the best of them) the word Kakarot is not mentioned for being writen and spoken as Kakaroto with an O , the whale thing is a miss understanding made by the fact that they tried to implement "Kakarot" in the dub. Vegeta's voice actor was not a good english speaker making it sound awkard.

I really hope you fix this, its making our dub sound retarded. —This unsigned comment was made by 201.17.112.86 (talkcontribs) Please sign your posts with ~~~~ next time!

Vegeta's age

I've notice that it says Vegeta is 56 at the start of GT, making him younger than Bulma if she is 57. After some thought, I realized that there is no way Vegeta can be younger than Bulma, as he was already 2 years older than her at the beginning of DBZ. Also,10 years after the defeat of Majin Buu, he would be 54. So, if GT is 5 years after the end of DBZ, wouldn't he be 59, and Bulma be 55 ( due to hyperbolic time chamber)? (Videl116)

Vegeta was born in 732 A.D. GT starts in 789 A.D. It spans a little more than 2 years. Goku returned the Black star Dragon Balls in just under a year and they were used again causing earth to be destroyed a year later (then spent an undetermined ammount of time during the Super 17 and Shadow Dragon sagas). The fact that Super 17 appeared on May 7, the Shadow Dragons probably appeared later that year, making the year 791 A.D. That would make Vegeta 58. He's 60 years old  by the end of GT if you count the 2 years he spent in the time chamber, which makes him 58 by the start of GT. If you don't count Time Chamber time, he's 56. Bulma is 55 at the start of GT and 57 by the end. So by the start of GT, no Time Chamber time, Vegeta is 56 and Bulma is 55.

Well, the 3 picture is when Vegeta was an antagonist, which he was for a very short amount of time compared to when he was one of the Z-Fighters, The current picture isn't the best, but Picture 3 just doesn't cut it for me to be enough to change it. There are some other nice looking pictures out there that would work if it wasn't for either the quality of the the picture being to low or part of Vegeta's hair being cut off. One of a picture I would like to replace it with has him in Super Saiyan, but I think a picture of his Base form should be up there and the fact the his hair is cut off a little too. User:SSJ4 Vegito/sig11 14:33, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
That would be a good pic. But as you said it must be the character in base form. The fact that I am pointing out is that most people recognise Vegeta for during Vegeta Saga. Also I would not really count him as a Z Fighter until maybe Buu saga. Purely based on the fact that Vegeta still wanted to fight and ultimately kill Kakarot for revenge. New Main Image

Hey everyone, I was just thinking: In order for this article to me more consistent with Goku's, Gohan's, Piccolo's etc., why don't we change the main image to something else. I think we should change it to the following mage which is already in the article and move the current image to another place in the article (i.e. the Buu Saga section). Anyway here is the image:

Let me know what you guys think and let's vote. Banan14kabFile:Dragon.gif 01:14, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

i agree^

but really it doesnt matter much what saga the picture is from as long as it is from one of the most epic battles the user has been in

OK so I recently thought of this idea. Use the following image from the upcoming film, Battle of Gods. It's perfect and shows ALL of Vegeta pretty well, including his hair. Please give em feedback. Banan14kab 03:45, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

It's a good image, but the resolution is too low for the infobox. -- Darbura1688.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 04:20, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

Can't we somehow edit the resolution or change the size of the infobox for it to work? Banan14kab 06:35, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

If the reason for the image change is to make the infobox more consistent with other articles, then resizing the infobox defeats the purpose. -- Darbura1688.10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 03:30, November 17, 2012 (UTC)

Well is there anyway to raise the resolution then? Banan14kab 10:21, December 9, 2012 (UTC)

It is not possible to increase the resolution of an independent image file. You start in real life with perfect (nearly infinite) resolution, then decrease when you capture the image by any means. You usually (there are a few exceptions) lose some resolution each time you change the file type or decrease the size, but it is not possible to raise it once you have a standalone png file. Increasing the size beyond the source will always mean a low quality image. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 11:24, December 9, 2012 (UTC)

Funimation Quotes are wrong.

Vegeta Quotes: I think Vegeta quotes should not be put here especially if they are from english versions such ocean or funimation dub because they are wrong (made up and different from the japanese anime ) and kind of misguide readers from the character that vegeta was. He never repented for the bad things he was doing  in the freezer saga so the quote in this article saying "Don't let him do to others what he did to me, he made me what I am" is correct in funimation dub but that dub has not translated the japanese versions as they should have and they did it on purpose because they want to transmit a message....make it more interesting ....who knows? I think his last words in the original japanese which are followed by almost every single language on earth (spanish, portuguese, catalan, french, arab) is : "Kill him with your hands of saiyan". Just letting you know, you shouldn't quote anything from the funimation dub because a lot of it is made up for example Goku's power level was not 9000, it was 8000.

Thank you for the comment. However you seem extremely biased to the Japanese anime over the English anime. Neither are the original source, being the manga, so I am not sure what credentials give the Japanese anime a higher "correctness" than the English anime. How are you defining what is correct? In any case, you should check out our Manual of Style, and use that talk page to bring up issues that would affect all articles, as opposed to just one. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 21:25, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

This site is for the enlglish dub of the anime and there is another site for the Japanese anime there are other people who brought up about the Japanese Dub I think 10x can refer you to it to clear up any of this.  Goku20  Talk  ULTRA DBZ  ULTRA POKEMON  14:44,12/17/2012

I agree as well. i don't detect any sense of bias, i think he makes a fair point about the funimation quotes. True, neither is the original source, but I've watched the japanese version and I've compared it to the manga and they are both very similar in terms of context and wording and far closer than the english dub. I've also watched multiple versions with different languages and they are all closer to the japanese dub as well. and since the original japanese version's dialouge is closer to the manga, it makes it far closer and a more true version of DBZ since that is the creator's original work. 391094 10150425790449103 22245934102 8480194 1625871859 nSSJ Sean x20 Talk ContribsNormal vegito2 16:54, January 4, 2013 (UTC)

While I think that this is English wiki, and so we should use English dubs, and that the FUNimation quote doesn't really inaccurately portray Vegeta's feelings, I want to post the manga quote here for reference:

"And yet...he killed them all...your parents...my father...the king...he killed them because he feared that a Super Saiyan would arise from among them...! Pl...Please...Freeza...Freeza must...die...by a Saiyan's...hands." Goku SS3Shakuran13Tapion with bladeThisDragonFistGokuHirudegarnMovie13endsKonatsian wizard with effectsNOW!SS3Rush 18:00, January 4, 2013 (UTC)

What about Kai? Its from the manga but it still counts as an english dub. I get what you're saying but I wanted to point it out. You are right that the old Funimation dub doesn't always  inaccurately portray character's feelings, but there are some dialouges that are completelty off in terms of context. 391094 10150425790449103 22245934102 8480194 1625871859 nSSJ Sean x20 Talk ContribsNormal vegito2 19:24, January 4, 2013 (UTC)

Oh yeah, Kai is fair game, I'm just saying that Japanese doesn't necessarily mean supreme authority. And I was referring to this particular FUNimation quote, not all of the dub, which started off pretty badly, though it improved later. Goku SS3Shakuran13Tapion with bladeThisDragonFistGokuHirudegarnMovie13endsKonatsian wizard with effectsNOW!SS3Rush 19:28, January 4, 2013 (UTC)

Fair enough. Your right, we shouldn't assume the Japanese dub to be the be all of the end all, but I still think we should hold it in high regards because it is the original work, or at least the original dub derived from the original work. I agree that their dailogue has greatly improved, especialy all the way to the Buu saga. I can't wait to see how Kai handles that! 391094 10150425790449103 22245934102 8480194 1625871859 nSSJ Sean x20 Talk ContribsNormal vegito2 19:57, January 4, 2013 (UTC)

It seems like we started to veer into territory of FUNimation vs. Japanese dub vs. Kai in general. I think we have the resources available to compare quotes on a case by case basis, rather than generalizing, so let's stick to the comparison at hand. Case by case is preferable when possible since it removes dub-specific bias. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 22:30, January 4, 2013 (UTC)

Voice in Trunks Saga

Why does Vegeta's voice change suddenly in FUNimation to more resemble Drummond's voice acting? It's actually made me stop watching, it's horrifying. Tia-Lewise 22:28, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Unnecesary Transformation

I don't get it. Why did Goku and Vegeta wasted their time in learning how to transform into SSJ2??

Gohan used the transformation as a means to unlock his full power. Goku and Vegeta could have trained as SSJ and achieved the same power level as they did with SSJ2. Why waste time in learning and mastering a new transformation??

Some of  you might say that Goku needed SSJ2 to reach SSJ3. Well Gotenks went from SSJ to SSj3 just fine. Goku could do it too.

Balanarahul (talk) 21:14, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

SS2 allows the power of Ultra Super Saiyan without the loss of speed. SS2 is a superior transformation to SS. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 02:07, December 31, 2013 (UTC)

Who wrote this?

"Seven years after the Cell Games, despite lacking a worthy opponent, Vegeta continues his vigorous training at Bulma's house, coming much closer to Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 power due to Gohan focusing on his studies (although Gohan is still stronger than him)."

Where did you take that piece of information from? It's quite absurd actually. Vegeta even before becoming Majin Vegeta grows impatient with how badly Gohan's battle against Dabura is going, suggesting he could have fared much better in that battle. Besides, Vegeta has been training his ass off for 7 years, while Gohan was slacking off for 7 years. There's absolutely no need for this paragraph to be included as it is misleading and simply wrong. Xfing (talk) 20:31, January 5, 2014 (UTC)

Added Info/trivia?

Does anyone else think its interesting or worthy of being noted that in the World Tournament Sage/Majin Buu saga, when Supreme Kai was talking about how strong Majin Buu was in Babidi's spaceship, that Vegeta automatically compared Majin Buu's strength to Frieza's instead of like for example Cell, who is far more stronger than Frieza. So the way I see it, is even though vegeta is stronger than Frieza at that point, he still holds him to high standards, which I guess you can't blame him, since Frieza kind of controlled his childhood and killed his father. Just the fact he still kind of fears his strength at even later in the series is interesting, and he wasn't thinking of Cell, or even the androids for that matter. What do you girls think? I just do not see anything special about Vegeta saying that one character is stronger than another. Maybe Vegeta knew Buu was stronger than Frieza but wasn't positive about his power compared to Cell's at that point. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 05:21, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

Needs Citations

Some citations are needed on a few more things. In particular under his biography just before Buu, it says, "Vegeta continues his vigorous training at Bulma's house, coming much closer to Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 power due to Gohan focusing on his studies (although Gohan is still stronger than him)" Where do we get that Gohan is still stronger than him at this point from? Similarly for his fight with Goku the page states: "After that, Majin Vegeta and Goku both power-up to Super Saiyan 2, with power levels just surpassing that of Gohan's when he fought Super Perfect Cell." When is this comparison ever mentioned in canon or what is the logic used to figure out the two were "just surpassing" Gohan? Frankly, I love Gohan but the comparisons feel a bit shoehorned so if citations cannot be provided I believe they should be deleted. JackieBlack (talk) 06:57, April 4, 2014 (UTC)

Until Vegeta reaches SS2, Gohan is still superior. As for Goku and Vegeta surpassing Gohan, I put a "citation needed" tag. If no one adds a citation in let's say 1 month, go ahead and remove it. I do not remember that being stated, but maybe the original poster does. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 01:55, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

2nd Grade vs. Cell

There's an edit war going on about whether or not Vegeta was 2nd Grad against Cell. Let's discuss it here. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 01:13, November 7, 2014 (UTC)

Vegeta is normal Super Saiyan in the manga, but they made him more musculous in the anime, meaning he is 2nd Grade in the anime. That's why the page says "Super Saiyan/2nd Grade". Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 01:22, November 7, 2014 (UTC)

No, that's not what it means. You just acknowledged that he was a Super Saiyan in the manga, the anime is based off the manga. You can't just put that because you think he looks more muscular, which he doesn't anyway. I rewatched that scene multiple times, and when he transforms there is no increase in muscularity for Vegeta or Trunks. Same thing when Vegeta attacks Super Perfect Cell. No change in muscularity. Honestly, I can't believe this is even a discussion. Arkhaan (talk) 06:31, November 7, 2014 (UTC)

But the anime changes some things of the manga, like Goku's fight as SS2 against Buu, which wasn't in the manga. Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 15:09, November 7, 2014 (UTC)

Exactly, that wasn't in the manga at all, there was nothing to be changed. That's not a good example. My second point still stands. There was no initial muscular increase for Vegeta or Trunks for either scenes. They didn't use the 2nd or 3rd grade forms again after losing to Perfect Cell on the islands. Vegeta even realized in the anime before this that Goku's plan was ingenious and saved energy, so why would he still be using the flawed power-ups? Combine all of this with the fact that he was Super Saiyan in the manga, it's ridiculous to assume Vegeta would be using this form in the anime when he already acknowledged that it was flawed in the anime. Arkhaan (talk) 15:21, November 7, 2014 (UTC)

But the "Goku vs Buu" fight is in the manga. In the manga Goku quickly goes to SS3, but they changed the fight so he briefly goes SS2. I can totally see why Vegeta would use 2nd Grade, even if he saw it was bad. He was fighting a Cell Jr, after all (and later attacking SP Cell). He needed to release all power he could so he wouldn't die. Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 15:36, November 7, 2014 (UTC)

In the SS2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta anime fight, Goku and Vegeta were both shown powering up to Super Saiyan 2 prior to the match. Yet Goku was drawn with his Super Saiyan design instead of his Super Saiyan 2 design for the first half of the fight. That doesn't mean he was no longer Super Saiyan 2. It was just an inconsistency with the artist. He was shown with his correct design later in the fight. So this was either an artist error, or artist had forgotten Goku was drawn powering up to SS2 in the previous episode. Either way, Goku didn't power up to SS2, power back down to SS1, then power up again to SS2. That's a waste of energy. The same applies to this fight. Vegeta was previously drawn becoming a basic Super Saiyan while preparing for the Cell Jr. Attack. At no point did he choose to pump to the 2nd grade, which would hurt him more than help. Him being drawn with larger muscles during the fight was an artist error. Arkhaan (talk) 21:32, November 10, 2014 (UTC)

Just found out that Daizenshuu 7 says 2nd Grade Super Saiyan was used against Cell Jr. So all of this is pointless. Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 17:23, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

We should be using Daizenshuu as the source for that info to avoid confusion in the future. Are there any official sources stating otherwise? -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 23:54, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

Where did you find that out at? Because if you claim to have read the book, that means nothing to me. I could claim that Daizenshuu states Vegeta used Super Saiyan 4 against Semi-Perfect Cell, that doesn't make it true. Unless you have a scan showing where it says that, I refuse to accept the edit. Arkhaan (talk) 22:26, November 25, 2014 (UTC)

It doesn't matter if you refuse to accept the edit or not the Daizenshuu is used as an official source so it tromps you. We use it for situations like this and I agree with 10X and Sandubadear. Also the anime may be based of the manga the people who made the anime does stuff differently in the anime then it is in the manga.  Goku20  Talk  ULTRA DBZ  ULTRA POKEMON  03:31,11/26/2014

Arkhaan, you have a good point. I suggest you check the page history to find who made the original edit. That person is likely the only one that can answer the question. -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 03:38, November 26, 2014 (UTC)

Arkhaan, you can look at the Kanzenshuu site, you're likely to find all the Daizenshuus there. Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 15:19, November 26, 2014 (UTC)
As a Full Power Super Saiyan you already have all the power Grade 2 would grant an unmastered Super Saiyan. Vegeta and Trunks achieved the state after their second visit to RoSaT and used it both against the Cell Jrs and later in Vegeta's case, against Cell. You don't go Grade 2 while you've got FPSSj, as the latter already contains the power of the former. Goku never went Grade 2 against Cell, even though he'd definitely have tried it if he thought it could work, even momentarily. Plus, he told Gohan he had given it his all in the battle, so it stands to reason that FPSSj replaces Grade 2 and you can't use the latter once you've got the former, as the former is just a perfected version of the latter. Xfing (talk) 19:59, April 20, 2015 (UTC)

Really SSj2 against Beerus?

I've seen this in several articles already and am forced to object - nothing except for an arbitrary judgment, suggests that Vegeta was SSj2 against Beerus. Not his aura, not his hair (both of which are clearly SSj1). Either remove this and revert it to the ambiguous "Super Saiyan", or at least provide a source backing your claim. Xfing (talk) 19:55, April 20, 2015 (UTC)

The aura isn't always the same every time the form is used clearly you forgot that in Broly Second Coming Gohan was SS2 but didn't look it so where is your proof besides Vegeta looking like he was in the SS1 form.  Goku20  Talk  ULTRA DBZ  ULTRA POKEMON  20:04,4/20/2015

Goku's SSJ2 and SSJ3 aura also had the sparks only briefly. Not a big deal that Vegeta didn't have them. Also, Vegeta's hair never changes from base, SSJ or SSJ2, so we can't know based on the hair. Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 20:18, April 20, 2015 (UTC)

While he most likely was just a Super Saiyan based on Toriyama's views on the ascended forms, there are sources that say both. Also, Vegeta's hair changes for Super Saiyan 2 have been very inconsistent, due to how minuscule they are. Arkhaan (talk) 21:39, April 20, 2015 (UTC)

If it's totally unclear, why did we pick SS2? -- SSJ4 Goku(2) 10X.Ka.me.ha.me.ha.....talk.....contrib. 23:40, April 20, 2015 (UTC)
I could've sworn it was changed to Super Saiyan a few months back, maybe it was changed back to Super Saiyan 2. Arkhaan (talk) 23:52, April 20, 2015 (UTC)
Dunno, I guess it's because Vegeta got a rage boost, and rage boosts are associated with SS2... And there's absolutely no way Vegeta could've surpassed SS3 Goku with only SS1. Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 23:57, April 20, 2015 (UTC)
Vegeta was more likely Super Saiyan rather than Super Saiyan 2. And Vegeta did pass a SSJ3 Goku because of the rage of Bulma getting hit. Vegeta and Master Roshi said so during the movie he passed Goku and Goku  admtted that. (Meshack (talk) 02:09, April 21, 2015 (UTC))

If Vegeta were SS1, surpassed SS3 Goku, and had a few good hits on Beerus, why didn't he go SS2 to double that strength and possibly actually wound Beerus? He couldn't because he was SS2, which is his full power. Yakon RenderSandubadearPui Pui Render 23:39, April 21, 2015 (UTC)
