Character creation.

Ok how would character creation work bc i have a basic understanding but i ment as if what if you created an ss2 trunks adult with the sword. ok could you only play as him or could you custom built a base and ss1 and then have them transform or can you only play as that character such as how you couldnt play as vegeta and get up to ss3 you could only play as ss3 by itself in raging blast 1 and 2.

Also i hope they give us pleny of character creation spaces bc id be pissed if i had tons of characters to built create or just change to my liking only to find out theres maybe 10 space or some small number like that. i hope it uses hard drive space or else is like the videos in raging blast 1 and 2 that could have up to 500 i believe.

Well they have mentioned in interviews that there is a special mode, so my guess is that this is where we would get to make our own characters. No body destruction?

In previous installments, when a character was k.o'd by another characters ultimate, or other attacks that would destroy that character, their bodies would disappear

Vegeta gets hit with Broly's ultimate, doesn't choose one of the quick-time actions, takes it full on, and his body isn't destroyed. After it shows the ultimate blowing up the part of the planet, it shows Vegeta holding his arm, above a huge crater, then falling as he is out of health

I haven't play Raging Blast 1 or 2, so I didn't check out the videos, but in Tenkaichi 3 there was no body destruction. However, parts of or the whole losing character will often fall through objects, including slanted areas of the ground, upon losing. Body destruction means that after he loses due to a strong attack, the character's body is not seen again during the ending sequence of the match. And this was in BT3. Jeangabin666 08:11, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

While taking a look at the new scan released August 25th (a better version of the one released August 7th), i noticed something at the bottom talking about the "Episode of Bardock" underneath the picture of Bardock ready to get hit by Frieza's Death Ball

Is the English Demo out in PSN yet? Also...

I was wondering about this, but is the english demo already out by now? Or is there a release date on when the english version of the demo is on PSN?
Also, unrelated though, but when are we going to get a Yardrat in one of these games? ;p I mean Soba the yardrat fighter from Sagas was an interesting fighter, and seemed as strong as Frieza in his Final Form when Vegeta fought him. (Frieza claims he wasn't using even 1% of his power at that time), as Soba's power level showed as 12 Million or 14 Million. From the screens you can see some ssj versions of the created characters. In the trailer you can see a created character start the battle in base form and later see the same battle but he is ssj. In the trailer, showing Custom Characters, they also showed different combinations of moves. Which include Galactic Donut, one Custom Character was reading to do a Beam Sword Attack and another doing a one handed Super Kamehameha. Well, if anything these pics confirm we can toggle tails. Notice the little USSJ Trunks looking one. He has Android 16's outfit, but he has a tail. I'm guessing we can choose whether or not to have one. Either that, or that costume comes with a tail :/-MKCSTEALTH 00:23, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

If the tail can be turned off, perhaps we can get pointy ears/antennae for to make a Namek or Bojack's race. That'd be cool cause Bojack's race can transform in a similar manner to the Saiya.

Why are some people mad about the Quick Time Events? Doesnt that make it more like the show? You have to predict your opponents choices or get lucky like in a real fight (cause im pretty sure Goku cant read minds). Doesnt it also prevent spamming, so that its more like in the anime.

I like them personally. If you pay attention, the Square QTE gives the player more ki, at the cost of a bit of spirit from the Spirit Gage. At the same time, the Triangle one does the opposite, adding more spirit at the cost of ki. So you can either build up your offense for Supers and Ultimates, or work on your defense by building up ki to counterattack you opponents Supers.

And they have been toned down quite a bit from the gameplay we first saw of it. That, and you can still start combos with a charged attack, so it's not horrible. The game will still be better, but they add a more strategic element to the gameplay, rather than "Charge Ki, Spam Supers, ???, Profit"-MKCSTEALTH 18:26, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

I watsched the Heromodetrailer again and saw the Final Kamehameha and the lithning sword slash as possible ultimate attacks for the Hero.

only 44 Characters?

In the new video there only 44 places for characters in the menu (without transformations), also there is no place for guldo. So the only moviecharacter is Broly -.-

in our list we have 37 (+ Vegito and Super Buu, where I am 100% sure, that they are in the game, 39).

So who will be the last 7? I think Baby Vegeta, Goten, Kid Trunks GT goku (kid) and adult Gohan (and Superbuu and Vegito). Fat Buu is confirm. Adult Gohan is extremly importend (I think so), so he must be in the game. same for Vegito and super Buu. Vegeta SS4 can be a transformation for the normal Vegeta. I doubt that Taipon and Super Janemba are in (pan and Uub have more chance in my Eyes) Super 17 can be a Transformation for the normal 17 (I hope so, because I want ever tranform 17 in Super 17 and i never realy understand, why he is a seperate character. So Hell 17 can be a alternate costume). Ultimate Gohan can be a alternate outfit for Gohan ore a transformation like older Games.

Guldo has no place in the selectscreen (there is no empty place on the Page with the ginyuforce), same for Chiotzu. I'm sure that there will be SS2 Goku and the other transformation, but the selectscreen have only 44 places.

Raging Blast 1 had 43 characters. Only 3 movie characters, no Cui, Saibamen, Ultimate Gohan, Dabura, or Cell Junior. And no GT.

I Know it's supid, but there is no chance for more characters. The Screen was leak, so wie saw, only 44 characters. The selectscreen of RB2 was leak over 6 weeks before release, the one of RB1 8 weeks.

This time we have ~5 weeks.

Confirmed Modes and Music?

Was there any mentionings of the game's soundtrack and custom music could be used from the PS3 menu or Xbox menu for those who use the 360? I believe this will be the last thing confirmed as well as the modes. I do expect an Ultimate Battle ranking mode again. World Tournament, Cell Games, Big World Tournament seen in Bojack Unbound and Other World Tournament.
Hopefully this time there's a spectator mode so you can watch a fight like in Super Smash Bros and other fighting games that uses tournament modes. I for one like watching CPUs fight anyway, because I sometimes make CPU vs. CPU tournaments on the Tenkaichi Games and RB2.
Also how about the stages too? (My expectation: Wastelands, Rockies, Namek, World Torunament Stage, Cell Games Arena, Lookout, Hell, Glaciers, Desert, Planet Vegeta on Frieza's spaceship, and Dark Planet if Hatchiyack or Tarble will come back) and I take it there's no Dragon Ball characters either? Latest Character Select Screen is Demo Build *Proof*

If you look at some of the characters, you'll see that you have SSJ Teen Gohan (no base), SSJ Goten (again, no base, and no Trunks or Goten). If it were the full version, they would be in their base forms. Also, Scouter Vegeta isn't on there, and he's been confirmed

Now, after you've let those facts sink in, lets do some quick math, shall we?

Raging Blast 1-43 characters, only 3 from movies, 2 what-ifs, no Cui, Cell Junior, Saibamen, Ultimate Gohan, or Dabura

Ultimate Tenkaichi- Characters from the beginning of DBZ to the end of DBGT, including Cui, Cell Junior, Saibamen, and other movie characters.

So, explain to me how, with more sagas and possible characters to choose from versus RB1, that the grand total comes out to 1 extra character than RB1. It just doesn't make sense. The Great Ape Baby boss confirms Baby (it wouldn't make sense otherwise)

Fat Janemba confirms Super Janemba (It even shows in the trailer the part that leads up to his defeat and transformation to Super Janemba in the boss fight, where Goku shoots the two energy orbs at him. It wouldn't make sense to just end it there)

Now, lets think of characters that are essential for story mode that have yet to be seen that have to be in it.

That select screen is just for Demo purposes. Both RB1 and RB2 select screen showed all of the characters, this one did not. And for that matter, there were a bunch of random transformed characters that i doubt will be present in the final showcase of the select screen (SSJ Gohan, SSJ Goten)

Why is everyone debating on who's confirmed or not? Nobody really knows exactly how much info Spike's released or how much they're still hiding, so most 'facts' here are mainly based on assumptions. Personally, I think that there'll be more than 44 characters for such a hyped game (I mean, if it's Spike's last game, they'd probably want to go out with a bang, and such a small roster would affect its 'bang'). They could be more screens thatn what they've shown so far (You know how you can shift the select screens with L and R), meaning that there could be space for more characters. But that's just my opinion.

On the Namco Dragon Ball forums, it has been stated that the full roster will be shown on the 7th at France. Hopefully there will be 50-70 characters excluding transformations and giant bosses. And what I really want to know is where is Super Saiyan 2 Goku and 3rd Form Frieza? Those two transformations were really important to the story. Well Bulma was never a fighter, so we would never really expect her to be playable

As for the Shin Budokai intros, Shin Budokai one only had gameplay in it's introduction, which didn't include Goten or Trunks, or Gotenks for that matter. In Shin Budokai 2, you only see Gotenks for half a second, but not Goten or Trunks

How can you take this as official? First off, they say that it's from the official Facebook Page, and when i click the link in the description, i get a message saying "conten not available"

Second, the text in that pic isn't from Facebook. It looks like a blog post if any.

Third, did you actually read the list? I mean, Super Vegito, no base, and many of the characters names mispelled (i've seen many translations for characters, and not one has reffered to Bardock as "Baddack") And for that matter, where the heck is Adult Gohan? Or Videl (her Ultimate is in, she should as well)

Fourth, and finally, you can CLEARLY see 44 spots in the select screen on the video of the select screen, with a created character slot next to it. The "?" are for locked characters. Why would those slots be locked if it was for created characters.

Until i see actual proof other than this video, which is a farce in every way (Look at the uploader comments, the guy is clearly a troll), or some other form without someone backing it up by just saying "Its been officially confirmed", i say bullcrap. Besides, Ultimate Gohan was just confirmed TODAY. You can change the colors of Auras through skill sets unlocked and created on Hero mode. These skill sets can be affected to any characters letting you have a Goku with Cyborg aura for instance.Colors of Super/Ultimate attacks cannot be changed.

You can create up to 3 characters in the Hero Mode and develop them separately. However, each character have to be of one of the three type available - Heavy, regular, light. Each type have unique attributes regarding melee, range attacks and Ki control.

I still doubt that it's the full roster, especially since they said they would announce the full roster on Friday, and the freaking video showed 44 spaces (They wouldn't lock the Hero Mode characters. Besides, the icon for them were next to the last locked space.) Also, in the Hero mode videos you can clearly see Videl's Ultimate in the Ultimate list, and a created character using Future Gohan's ultimate....so why are those there if they aren't in?

Dynamite Pressure Ultimate

I was re-watching the walkthrough of the Hero Mode gameplay (mainly the Ultimate's list) when i noticed an ultimate i hadn't seen used before called "Dynamite Pressure"

Problem is if its just being said they can retract it. Because we can only allow COMPLETELY 10=% solid proof, in order to avoid confusion statements shouldnt be here, because it can then be retracted and then the wiki loses its trust. Thats a bad thing. The Opening and th sound is the last things what are make by a game. Because of this it's Never would they said it's look cool. A Intro to a game is a intro to the game and not a movie, which should be look cool.

I just remebered that while watching the "how to create a character" trailer one of the optional ultimates was "Videl Rush" and in the list given by the DB Games FAQ videl wasn't among the puny 41 character list. What it means is either Videl along with MANY others WILL be featured in the game and the list only gives the CONFIRMED characters, or they are really stupid and added and attack for a CUSTUM character with a character that doesn't appear (Unlike B3 IW where Cooler got Salza Blade) Who's optimist and with me?! The moves are just legacy content, which they let in, so that the people make there own character with move noone else have in the game. That's not special, that's standart. Mortal Kombat Soul Calibur... all have something like this. Also other games let it in to, but nowhere you can find it. If you play PC games, in the code you find many things from previous game in the series or what the base are. So you find in the OoTcode a Star Fox spaceship, just because the engine of Lynat Wars was used for OoT. Or in Fall Out New Vegas, you can find in the code every Item from Fallout 3.... Every game have some legacy content, so that's no reason for Future Gohan, Videl or others are in the game ...

The Facebook profil is offical. You can't discusion about it, it is the one which namco use every time if they want say something in facebook. It's 100% no fake and this is the 3rd version of the FAQ which said only 41 character (the only new thing are the names). So the Profiel wasn't hacked or something, it's just offical. It's the final roster for US/Europe, but not for Japan. The developpers said they'll add all the fan's request leaved on their website (the same we could vote for the name while it was still called "Project Age 2011"). The problem is that a lot of people in those countries prefer less characters with different gamplay than a more characters with little similartities and "generic" moves. Possiblity of more characters

I was looking at some UT videos when I noticed something at the character select screen. There's only around 5 or 6 pages of characters, yet at the top, the page number is in double digits i.e. 02 / 05, or 04 / 05. Why would there be an extra digit if there are only 5 or 6 pages? Unless the final version has 10+ pages? Just being optimistic.

The Bits are not plain jargon, that's are technical basics. for a pc there is just a 1 or a 0. With that you make your numbers. In the most times there will be use 4bits as one pack. with 1 pack you can show the numbers from 1 to 16. That's standart.

The Game is finish is confirmby Bandai. Also they need ~one month to make enough copys and send them to the shops in the world, like every games. They can't just snap and then they have 300000 copys in the shops.

A Game must be finished ~one month before release because the tester from magazins get the game over 3 weeks before releaseday. I have been reading this page for days, and feel I should say something. OF COURSE THERE ARE MORE CHARACTERS!!! Why would they show us all of what the game is about? They are hooking us with the crappy character roster, then near the end, they will show you hope that there is more characters (which i bet there is), making you want to buy it. Do you remember Raging Blast 2? All the new characters seen before the game was released were the only new characters in the game, but people were still waiting the two exclusive what-if characters announced (which were actually those from RB1, SS3 Vegeta and SS3 Broly) or didn't believed that Neiz and Doore were counted among the new playable characters so they were still expecting that two more unseen character would be in the game.. Terrible Character roster

Unless this game gets DLC.. it's not looking hopeful. I mean, you've got holes in this everywhere. No Buu-Gotenks, Teen Gohan doesn't get a base, Adult Gohan doesn't exist (outside of Ultimate), Future Trunks apparently doesn't train in the HBTC... just wow. There are some characters that i don't understand why they aren't in (i.e Future Tunks after HBTC, Buutenks, etc.), but i can understand with some (Base Teen Gohan, Base Gotenks, and Base Broly never really fought, and Adult Gohan was just 3 forms of himself, a ki volley, an explosive blast, and a Kamehameha for an ultimate)

Thought two things still bug me:

1) In the trailers for Hero Mode, you can clearly see Videl's Ultimate in the Ultimates list, and a Hero using Future Gohans Ultimate

2) How did we lose 2 spaces? I mean, it went from 43 at TGS to 41. And don't say it's Hero Mode Characters, because those "?" spaces a character meant to be unlocked, not made-MKCSTEALTH 02:57, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Ok well qualtity is better than quanity IS true... but what do characters go under? You have to have the essentials! Ssj4 Vegeta and goku are essential for ssj4 gogeta. Technically, we're getting the two most fan demanded features in DB fighting game history with Create A Fighter and a Free Roam Story Mode. Unfortunately, it looks like that's come at a cost to us in the number of fighters. I personally would have preferred a more complete character roster and comprehensive story mode instead. I don't see a reason for creating characters that aren't part of the anime or manga(though kids think it's Z0MG cool) and what exactly is the point of a free roam mode in a fighting game? Tapion wasn't realy a fighter (the only thing what he do was his Ocarina), I don't need him in a fighting game (he's a character which better be only in cutscenes).

Many games have less then 41 characters (without transformations). Burst Limit, Budokai 1-3, Shin Budokai1+2...the only Dragonball-Beat'm Up which have more are the Budokai Tenkaichi games and the Raging blast games.

They can't hiding anything. There are some staates, where the company must give a fullversion, so that they can test and make there ratings (at the moment I live in germany. Here is the USK. If a game is not testet by them, the shops is not allowed to sell the game. They must test the complete game with every feature. If they changed anything, they must test it again..).

If a full version is out, everything leaks. The tester don't write it to the internet, but show the game to frieds (like it happend to me), tell something, ask for help to someone, who know everything about the setting... It will finds a way to leak. The companys know that. too.

To those of you who keep saying "I'm tired of hearing (x) about the small character roster", you're missing the point. I'm not saying I want another BT3. I'm saying that they have left out some essentials that don't make sense, and then we get other characters that ARE useless or otherwise unnecessary. You guys are talking, but most of it just doesn't merit any fundamental complaint. Cui is my 3rd most favorite character in the ENTIRE SERIES. He actually does do a lot in the story progression. First and foremost, he warns Vegeta of the threat on Namek, which forces Vegeta to actually fly to Namek... he obliterates numerous planets, successfully setting the story in motion for Gohan and Krillin's encounter with that child-infested spaceship in outer space. And he follows Frieza's orders to the end, where he tracks Vegeta to Namek and is killed by him there as a result of underestimating him. This in and of itself is more of a role than some random fusion thing that takes place in half of an episode. I'm really tired of people liking fusions overall; especially the fact that they're just combos of pre-existing characters and only last a few seconds onscreen. At least the supporting villains last longer than that. Jeez, even the Saibamen and Cell Juniors play more of a role than the fusions; at least they propel the story and their fights have more congruent structure and basis that takes place instead of some random fusion thing that's supposed to make someone uber-powerful. I'd much prefer to see a game that has all the characters so it satisfies everyone; but if it's up to me and we can only have 43 or so characters, then a game without Frieza's complete force is pretty much a very incomplete game. You're speaking from your opinion, we're speaking from ours. Nobody's right or wrong. Personally, I don't mind that Cui's in the game. What bothers me is that they put a relatively minor character in over a more major character. And about the fusions, yes they may only last a few seconds, but they are a separate characters and make multiple appearances throughout the series, whereas Cui exists for a short while only in the Namek saga. And if you want to talk about complete forces, what sounds more complete: Having a random Frieza solder with a relatively minor role, or a complete Ginyu force. Actually, I love Guldo as he's in my top ten, but I don't think he's more important than Cui. I agree about the random frieza soldiers also; I don't believe they should be in it... but Cui is an elite, not a random soldier. He's also the third strongest elite in Frieza's army of millions. The Ginyu Force is a mercenary squadron (not aligned directly under Frieza's military divisions) but hired by Frieza on occasion. Cui is more important not just by actual storyline, but by episodic appearance ratio. Guldo is in a mere 2 episodes in the actual canon material (not including the filler material in later episodes and the non-canon stuff in Hell)... Cui is in 3 episodic appearances (of which all three play a large role in Vegeta's story arc). However, I even made a section about Guldo because I feel he deserves to be in the game also. I just don't think they need to put useless non-fighting characters in when there's a slew of actual fighting characters that should be put in. I am still waiting to see Pui Pui and Yakon as playable over someone like Supreme Kai or Tapion who don't ever even actually FIGHT. Besides, I agree that we are all entitled to our opinion; that's the beauty of having a genuinely different perspective; the fact that everyone doesn't agree with each other. Well I guess that's true, but the only reason I think Guldo's more important than Cui is because he's part of the Ginyu Force. You can't just leave out one member of a fighting team, its like the TMNT without Raphael. I can kind of rationalize why other characters are missing except for Guldo. I mean, yes Trunks and Goten are pretty major characters but they mainly fight while fused as Gotenks so I can understand why they're not in. But I do understand your persepctive and respect you for explaining it rather than arguing. Having Frieza's complete force in a game would make it more complete storywise, but imo some of them can be omitted for other major characters. I hope it's true. I mean, it's not totally impossible to implement. So far, i have yet to see anything about Hero Mode that makes it to where female characters wouldn't be able to be in. And we haven't really seen anything after the screen where we choose which type we want (Heavy, Medium, or Light). The only time i saw it, they loaded a pre-made Hero. So who knows.

I'm very sure (90%) that's a wrong info. The game have only one Woman. So the only thing what you can build with the female pieces is a Android 18 with other color and other moves. I doubt that there is Legacy Content from BT3. Maybe a little but not so much. The game base on RB2, not BT3. RB2 have some legacy content from RB1, RB1 have some Legacy content from BT3. I doubt, that there is so much legacy content after 3 generations.

Major flaw in charactor roster!

I have been looking at videos of the supposedly complete character roster. What can you trust more? Acual footage of the demo, or what a supposdly "official" says. The videos Shows a total of 13 question marks,and on the last page, it shows a shadow of a character surrounded in red, and 6 character slots with nothing in them. If there is 44 characters, (including the ones you can create) then wouldnt it be easier to make 4 pages with 11 characters on each??? To me that just makes more sense then haveing blank character slots. Here is the link to the video I watched.

The Hero mode have a story too, but this story doesn't follow the DBstory. You build a character and play this story there.

Guldo? Where is Guldo...?

I notice that the roster has most of my favorites. Why is Guldo missing from the complete roster? Isn't the complete Ginyu Tokusentai in the game...? It's just rather random to remove a member of the force and include the rest. I really hated how B2 and B3 had pretty much NONE of my favorite characters cept for Recoome, Nappa, etc. And now when I thought they wouldn't remove any of the characters, they went ahead and took out a Ginyu member? This is really upsetting. I'm still surprised about this; I thought they learned that removing characters is just plain wrong overall, especially actual fighting characters. I don't mind if they remove useless ones like Tapion or Supreme Kai (since neither ACTUALLY fought)... but this is just plain aggravating. He's not in unfortunately. While it sucks that he's not in and we don't have the whole Ginyu Force in a DBZ game since Tenkaichi 1, honestly he wasn't that good. And if you look in the Anime, he didn't really "fight" He just manipulated time a bit, paralyzed Gohan and Krillin, and was about to throw the tree at him when he got killed by Vegeta.

That's one thing they did with Ultimate Tenkaichi: removed a lot of the pointless characters. Though TBH some characters weren't pointless and should still be in (Base Vegito, Buutenks, Adult Gohan, and why no Dabura again? I still don't see how a fighting character is the only basis... but this has never been the basis for Spike because they still haven't added Pui Pui and Yakon... and they were more "fighting" than the likes of Supreme Kai and Tapion (who just plain suck in terms of fighting...) I seriously think they are separating a majority of primary role characters from lesser ones. Characters who play much less of a role are being removed. That would explain Buu (gohan absorbed), who didn't last many episodes... or Vegito (who was in a mere 2 or so episodes). But I still don't see how Dabura can be removed considering he's a major character in an entire saga (pretty much the only villain other than Buu himself who plays a major fighting role in the Buu saga). I still wish they'd add Pui Pui and Yakon to have a complete Buu saga because they still haven't ever gave those characters a chance in-game but making them useless attack techniques for Babidi. So someone edited the wiki and sayed both female and males are creatable from where he brought that up? and also about Future gohan we all saw him in the hero mode trailer yet he is not on the list so is he available or not? i only bought RB2 cause he was in the game!!!!

People are allowed to voice themselves. I love Dragon Ball; it's my favorite anime series EVER. That doesn't make this a good game. The actual skill and fighting is gone... it's all just a chance game of cards here... so everyone can say as they please, because the good critics seem to agree that the gameplay is close to horrible. That's the point of having the freedom to express one's opinion; if everyone agreed about everything, then there wouldn't be a reason to rate things, would there? That's the beauty of disagreement, the fact that we can all have different opinions. Being a BIG fan of BT3 all the games since its release has been in some way or form a let down. However UT is a less of a let down than the previous. Lets just take the Hero mode, something brand new in the series. Although there is not 2nd, 3rd or 4th race to choose from of the choice between male and female it still is something better and brand new to the series. I agree the game play is a bit dull but for some reason I find myself going back to UT time and again. I hope to see some DLC for it soon, maybe adding a new scenario to Hero mode, adding more choices for characters to create (additional races, females, etc), adding more characters to the roster etc. UT is a new entry in the series just as BT1 was at some stage. Ultimate Tenkaichi thoughts?

I bought the game... and I have one thing to say... the gameplay is the WORST I have ever seen since Final Bout... and that was quite bad. I really hated the gameplay, it was like Dragon Rush from the b3 game (pretty much the one feature I hated about that game was turned into a game by itself...) The redeeming qualities about the game are the cutscenes and the character roster, both rocked as they had the villains I love... but the actual gameplay is quite horrid. I'd rate the graphics very high and the scenes even higher, but the gameplay mechanic is really bad... overall gameplay is maybe 2 out of 10... I really haven't seen a game this bad since Final Bout's gameplay. There is absolutely no skill or expertise involved. It's all about button combos like some guitar hero or dance game; where a button is pressed to avoid or introduce some random combo. You don't actually control any of the combos though, it's all like Dragon Rush the ENTIRE time. Oh man, this gameplay was quite horrid. I prefer the old nintendo titles that had lame graphics but better gameplay. Shame, I hope the future releases aren't like this at all. OK HERE IS MY IMPUT. the game is not that bad. the gameplay could indeed be better. I finished the entire story mode, and got really annoyed evrytime i missed a clash. the roster could also be better. But i do like the game. PS how do you unlock hair and clothers for your hero mode charcter?

Sorry, I really don't enjoy being sarcastic, but if anyone is interested in a good Dragon Ball game, the highest rated ones won't fail. As of now, the highest rated Dragon Ball games are Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (76.86), Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (73.86) and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 (76.22). Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi is one of the lowest rated titles and it's only going to go down from there once more reviews hit home. Update... it's gone down to 66.25% for the x360. This is horrible and a shame for the DB franchise. And it appears all the reviews are saying the same thing; the game mechanic is just a spam of the same moveset and a repeat of the same button presses... and they're right; the game difficulty is zilch to none and it's all because there's no actual game mechanic other than random guessing games with automatic cutscenes, tossing each character from one chain to another and not actually fighting like previous titles. I'd like to hear from any experienced or avid fans of the previous games to see what they think about this. I'm quickly finding this to be one of the worst actual gameplays ever... Raging Blast seemed like a god compared to this in terms of replay value. It's not in the middle, it's near the end as I posted it for everyone to see where it's falling so far. Also, previous titles allowed players much more fighting and less button guesses. I feel this game is very deserving of the negative reviews when it comes to the gameplay because it seriously doesn't have much... I am also annoyed about these "boss" battles. What the heck...? I expected to be able to fight the bosses and bring their health bar to zero instead of just pressing one button to beat them and watch them fall... I mean, seriously... button gets pressed, cutscene... button gets pressed repeatedly at the same time... cutscene... this isn't a boss battle people... boss battles are what we see in Wolfenstein, Doom, and even Ratchet and Clank. I'm going to say this on behalf of my gaming knowledge. If you want to watch explosive cutscenes only, then it's worth it. But if you want it for gameplay, then the gameplay is one of the worst ever. That's my opinion on the matter. Honestly, i don't look at online reviews. I would play the game first rather than what other people say, and form your own opinion. Personally, i like the new gameplay. Yeah it has it's flaws, but every DBZ game does. The gameplay offers a more strategic approach vs the old spam supers, spam combos.

Overall, i give it an 8: Decent gameplay, Hero Mode is ok, though not as amazing as it was made out to be. The story mode is good, and faithful to the anime, and online is fun. Overall, it's fun to play, but it does have it's problems-MKCSTEALTH 21:02, October 28, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know... I seriously feel the gameplay is lots worse than the prior titles. Budokai, Budokai Tenkaichi, Raging Blast, and even Burst Limit were better series than this... I found the gameplay very extremely repetitive and the same for everyone in this game. While it can be a tad bit repetative, so is spamming off a Kamehameha every 5 seconds like RB2. But don't get me wrong, i still consider RB2 to be the better game. RB2 is just epic, character wise, and it's fun to play. This game lacks the characters, but is still pretty fun to play. Beating Great ape Vegeta

Can anybody provide any good tips for the final part of this boss battle? I'm referring to the part in which Vegeta tries to crush you in his palms and you have to tap the b button. Most people say to just repeatadly press it as fast as possible but this isn't good advice at all, and dosen't get me anywhere. Some people say you have to hold the controller and position your hands in a certain way but this too is a useless tactic. This truly is rather simple. It has to do with pressing that one button repeatedly... you can try by putting the controller down and pressing the button like that if it's easier; either way, all it is... is just a repeated simultaneous pressing of a single designated button... pretty simple if you ask me. - PrinceZarbon 20:38, October 28, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah me 2. When Vegeta crushes u in his hands i press o as fast as I can but I can never get it. The best I did was only half way to yellow. There has to be an easier way. Besides "oh just use another finger... Or position it another way." someone help meh!

Hero mode

Ok. I have not yet beat hero mode. Here, you post anything about hero mode. Example, how you unlock certain stuff as in hair clothing and auras. How you found it best to defeat a certain boss or anything regarding hero mode. ATM I would like to know all the hair stlyes and costumes you can get and how.

First, tag your posts with the four ~

Second, basically you unlock stuff by finding silvers stars on your map with the Dragon Radar. Different hairstyles and outfits get unlocked as you fight through the "story" part, and you can find them in the world.

For the bosses, they (sadly) each follow the sort of same pattern. A beam, and a melee. My advise, keep moving, stopping only to shoot ki volleys (don't charge, you do more damage with multiple ki blasts.) Also, each boss has a little clue to tell when they are about to attack (Great Ape opens it's mouth a bit before smashing the ground, etc.)-MKCSTEALTH 05:20, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

He has 55,000 hp where I only have 31,000. How can I get more health? What should my stats be when I face ultimate shenron, in the C's? I just need help getting through the last part of hero mode. I saw the beggining of November when I was searching on Google linked to a wikipedia page too full of Drgon Ball(Page:Dragon Ball Enciclopedy),then wrote on the page the title of the game and I see part of playable characters(confirmed).It was showing all the characters I've ever seen on videos and sites like this wiki also said that most other characters are confirmed(SSJ4 Goku,SSJ4 Vegeta,Teen Gohan(Base),Adult Gohan(Base,SSJ,SSJ2),Evil Buu and Super Buu(Base,Gotenks Absorbed)
