The Supreme Kai of Time Saga (時の界王神編 Toki no Kaiōshin Hen, lit. "Kaiōshin of Time Arc") is the eighth original saga of Dragon Ball Heroes.
It continues on from where the New Space-Time War Saga of Super Dragon Ball Heroes left off.
It is composed of several sub-stories:

Plot[]
Gathering of the Strongest[]
In the Time Nest, former Supreme Kai of Time Aeos stands before Chronoa, telling her that she can no longer rely on the current Supreme Kai of Time and will take the Time Scrolls from her. Chronoa vows to stop her but suddenly finds herself surrounded by several Warriors in Black.
Meanwhile on Earth, Goku is approached by a Mysterious Guide. He tells Goku that he has been invited to the "Super Space-Time Tournament", a tournament to determine the strongest fighter from every space-time. Excited by the prospect, Goku quickly accepts and is teleported away to the tournament's location.
Xeno Goku and his team
Once there, Goku reunites with Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Hit, Jiren and Yamcha. The Mysterious Guide re-appears and speaks with all competitors. He explains that the seven members on each cog wheel are part of one team. Making up twelve teams for a total of eighty-four fighters, the first round of the tournament will be a survival battle. He further explains that on the battle stage are three flying fairy warriors and that victory is assured by catching them or beating all the members of the other teams. With a time limit of 50 takks (24 minutes in Earth time), the tournament is given an immediate start and the participates are teleported to the battlefield.
On the battlefield, the team members are separated from one another. Goku quickly crosses paths with his timeline counterpart Xeno Goku who are each elated at the prospect of fighting each other once again. However, Xeno Goku states his intention with the host of the tournament Aeos. Before he can explain his reasons as to why, the two Goku are ambushed by another team.
Hit faces Hirudegarn
Elsewhere, Xeno Trunks meets Tapion, who remembers him as a child from their previous encounter though Xeno Trunks does not remember him in return. Tapion urges Xeno Trunks to show him his power and in response he transforms into Super Saiyan God. A multitude of battles begin to take place as Jiren faces off against Broly, Hit against Hirudegarn and Kid Buu against Janemba. With 30 takks remaining, Yamcha flees from Mecha-Frieza whilst Aeos smiles at the current events taking place.
Black Plan[]
With only 15 takks remaining, Goku and Xeno Goku finish taking down those who attempted to ambush them with ease and the two excited Saiyans decide to battle once again. Goku transforms into Super Saiyan Blue and Xeno Goku into Super Saiyan 4 and begin their rematch, trading blows evenly.
Yamcha hides in the bushes
Elsewhere, Yamcha knowing that he cannot hide in the bushes forever plucks up the courage to leave, taking out a hapless Centi in the process. Picking it up, Yamcha along with his team succeed in completing the first stage of the tournament and are transported back to the main hall. They are soon joined by Xeno Goku and his team as well as Hearts and his team. Deducing that there were only three Centis in total, they surmise that all other teams may have lost.
Aeos stops the two warriors' attacks
Just then the Warriors in Black appear, with the Future Warrior in Black spitefully telling the competitors that the losing teams have had their existence along with their entire universe erased from the space-time. Xeno Trunks flies into a rage, transforming into Super Saiyan God and demanding the location of Aeos so that he can retrieve the Scroll of Eternity. The two battle with the Future Warrior in Black quickly gaining the edge over his opponent though Trunks soon notices the identity of his opponent. The two fighters launch powerful attacks at each other but before they collide, they suddenly stop.
Aeos then makes her appearance praising the two warriors' strength before sending their attacks away from through a space-time rift. Xeno Trunks tells everyone that she is the former Supreme Kai of Time. Aeos then declares that she is the host of the current tournament. Aeos tells the remaining participants that she cannot allow the timelines to continue to multiply and that they must continue to fight in the tournament as the losing teams will be erased along with their Scroll of Eternity proceeding to destroy a Scroll right in front of them.
Proof of True Strength[]
The Namekian in Black
All of the participants are teleported away to different locations for the beginning of round two. Gohan and Piccolo are sent to a planet that resembles Namek with King Cold, Frieza, Frost, Bergamo, Lakasei and Rasin. Gohan recognizes them as opponents they've faced in the past with Piccolo deducing that they must be from different timelines. The Namekian in Black appears, removing his cloak to reveal himself as an alternate version of Piccolo.
Vidro, the Female Warrior in Black
On Planet Glass, Vegeta, Yamcha, Hit, Dr. Wheelo, Basil, Murichim and Dercori are matched against Vidro, currently in the possession of a Time Fairy. She tells the group that whichever team is able to steal it from her will be declared the winner of the second round. Removing her cloak and revealing that she is a member of the Glass People, she summons a handful of Glass Warriors who appear from the ground. Not wanting to waste his time on fodder, Vegeta charges at the warrior, transforming into a Super Saiyan Blue and with Hit right behind him.
The Future Warrior transforms into a Super Saiyan
In a ruined West City on Earth, Xeno Trunks, still as a Super Saiyan God, battles against the Future Warrior in Black. Xeno Trunks recognizes his movements, and the Future Warrior removes his cloak to show that he is an alternate timeline version of Future Gohan. The Future Warrior explains that in his timeline both Future Trunks and Future Bulma had been killed by Future Android 17 and Future Android 18. He blames his own weakness and explains that Aeos had used the Dark Dragon Balls to give him strength as he transforms into a Super Saiyan and picks up their battle. The Future Warrior powers up a One-Handed Kamehameha while Xeno Trunks charges a Masenko. The two engage in a beam struggle in which Xeno Trunks prevails. The Future Warrior falls, exhausted, as Xeno Trunks tells him that his strength never used to come from such a dark place.
Super Space-Time's Collision[]
Super Saiyan 3 Warrior in Black
On Planet Vegeta, Goku, who is teamed up with Jiren, transforms into Ultra Instinct Sign in preparation for his battle with the Super Saiyan 3 Warrior in Black. Goku asks Jiren if he can fight alone due to his opponent being a fellow Saiyan. The Warrior compliments Goku's power and reveals that he knows his true name of "Kakarot" though when asked how he knows him, he simply states that he is a Saiyan who abandoned his past in search of power. The two then begin to battle.
Hit overpowers his opponent
Elsewhere, Vegeta and Yamcha battle Vidro's clones and though Yamcha is overpowered by his opponent, Vegeta soon destroys his after transforming into Super Saiyan God SS Evolved. Hit meanwhile manages to overcome the real Vidro and goes to finish her off. Before he is able to, he deflects a blast heading his way through this allows Vidro to escape Hit's grasp. The blast comes from Yamcha who claims that enemy or not, he cannot let Hit kill her. Hit decides to just simply kill Yamcha first and fires a blast his way but survives thanks to Vidro creating a barrier to block the attack. Touched by Yamcha's kindness, Vidro vows that Hit will not hurt her "darling".
Goku and the Warrior in Black have a beam struggle
Meanwhile, the Warrior in Black decides to use his full power to end the fight and charges up a Final Impact. Goku responds in kind with a Kamehameha which with a struggle pushes back the Warriors blast. Before being overpowered, the Warrior claims that he cannot be sorry by the inevitable defeat as seeing Goku, a fellow low-class Saiyan become so powerful gives him hope that he can become far stronger too just as he is struck by Goku's wave. The two power down and share a smile.
Divine Dimension Decisive Battle[]
Aeos in her Time Power Unleashed state
At the Time Nest, Chronoa approaches Aeos and asks that she return the Time Scrolls. She responds by saying that if he wants them then she should try and take them away from her before sealing them in a box. With a flick of her fingers Aeos sends Chronoa and herself outside and tells Chronoa that she will show her no mercy if she intends to get in her way and proceeds to transform into the Time Power Unleashed state. In response, Chronoa uses the same state. Aeos attacks Chronoa with an energy blast who holds it back as she tries to explain that she too is aware of the danger that increasing timelines brings but chooses to place her faith in the possibilities that they hold. With exerted effort, Aeos overpowers Chronoa and knocks her to the ground.
Goku blocks Aeos' attack
Goku appears and after checking on the injured Chronoa he turns towards Aeos and offers his thanks to her for hosting the tournament but asks that she not erase any timelines as there are still people living in them. Aeos declines his request and attempts to use her powers to freeze him but Goku teleports behind her and transforms into his Ultra Instinct Sign state. The two battle with Goku being relentless in his attacks so as to not give Aeos the time needed to perform her magic. Aeos surrounds Goku with a swarm of small energy blasts, but Goku uses his Instant Transmission to appear right in front of Aeos before letting off a Kamehameha at point blank range. Aeos acknowledges the danger that Goku possesses and vows to eliminate him.
Demigra steals Mechikabura's Dark Factor
Elsewhere in the Crack of Time, an ethereal form of Mechikabura curses Chronoa and her Time Patrol when he is suddenly stabbed through by a staff belonging to Demigra who claims his Dark Empire for himself as he begins absorbing Mechikabura's Dark Factor in order to become the next Dark King.
The New Darkness[]
Demigra then heads to the Time Nest where he launches a powerful attack to destroy its protective barrier with Goku protecting Chronoa from the impact. The explosion given off is seen by all the contestants across the Super Space-Time tournament.
Demigra and Xeno Omega Shenron
Demigra, steps from the shadows holding the box containing the Time Scrolls, announcing that he waited until Chronoa and Aeos had weakened before making his move. He announces that his age will now begin and calls forth evil beings from the Time Scrolls. Xeno Omega Shenron appears in his Transcended state and insists that he handle things their adversaries. The Shadow Dragon fires off an Extreme Minus Energy Power Ball at Goku though the blast dissipates thanks to the timely arrival of Xeno Gogeta.
Xeno Gogeta uses the Big Bang Kamehameha
Xeno Gogeta smugly taunts Xeno Omega Shenron who rushes to attack the merged Saiyan, but he is easily overpowered. Angry and humiliated, the Shadow Dragon attempts to use his most powerful attack, but the blast is overpowered by Xeno Gogeta's Big Bang Kamehameha which swiftly destroys Xeno Omega Shenron. As an impressed Goku watches on, Aeos reluctantly decides to form a temporary alliance due to the larger threat facing them in Demigra. From above, Demigra's assistant, Robelu, appears along with Broly.
Invasion of Darkness[]
Xeno Gogeta battles against Broly who has also been empowered by Demigra's magic, fighting an intense fight in which Xeno Gogeta appears to have the advantage.
Jiren faces Hatchiyack and Baby
Demigra uses his magic abilities to transform the appearance of the battlefields before summoning several dark warriors to confront the tournament participants, empowering them with his magic. On Area: Planet Glass, Innocent Buu, Fin and Chilled appear. The Demon Gods, Gravy, Shroom, Salsa, Putine and Dabura appear on Area: Planet Namek. Bojack, Super Android 13, Lord Slug and Cell appear before Xeno Trunks and the Future Warrior in Black on Area: West City. Finally, Jiren faces off against Hatchiyack and Golden Great Ape Baby alone on Area: Planet Vegeta.
Demigra battles Goku and Aeos
At the Time Nest, Aeos uses her Time Power Unleashed state and Goku his Super Saiyan Blue to take on Demigra. Demigra swiftly takes Aeos down and Goku unleashes a Kamehameha at Demigra who reflects the attack while adding the power of darkness to it. Goku uses Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken and a second Kamehameha to try and match it but is overpowered and goes down. Aeos gets to her feet and uses an Eternal Labyrinth to trap Demigra but he breaks out of it.
Strike of Unity[]
Vegito strikes Demigra
Demigra's power grows as he unleashes his true potential and decides to take out Chronoa first, Goku charges in to protect her but is easily overpowered. Demigra punishes Goku until he is forced to dodge Vegeta's Final Flash. Chronoa contacts Aeos telepathically and asks her to distract Demigra as she has a plan. Aeos attempts to slow down Demigra in a field that manipulates time and space but he breaks free. He goes to strike Aeos down but is instead struck hard by Super Saiyan Blue Vegito and sent flying.
Meanwhile on Area: Planet Glass, Yamcha and Vidro partner up to take on Chilled, with Yamcha charging up his Spirit Ball technique which Vidro encases with her glass and sends hurtling at Chilled from above. As he is caught up in the explosion, Vidro suggests that she and Yamcha get married after the fight is over much to Yamcha's surprise.
Xeno Trunks and the Future Warrior in Black fight together
Elsewhere the empowered Cell, Android 13, Bojack and Lord Slug attempt to finish off Xeno Trunks with a combined blast when the Future Warrior in Black reappears to counter it with a Masenko. He apologises to Xeno Trunks for his earlier behaviour and vows that this time he will save him.
Xeno Trunks gets to his feet and says that he will protect him also as they transform into Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan respectively.
Three Waves[]
Demigra's new form
Vegito and Demigra battle with the former taking the advantage. Vegito fires off a God Final Kamehameha that engulfs Demigra and the two separate into Goku and Vegeta once again. Though having taken damage, Demigra survives the attack and blasts Vegeta, sending him out of commission and destroying his Potara in the process. Demigra summons the Time Scrolls and absorbs them to enter into a Time Power Unleashed state. Deciding to wipe out everyone, allies included, Demigra powers up a Chaotic Gigantes while granting his summoned minions' additional power which causes them to lose their senses and keep fighting.
Demigra unleashes his attack and Goku transforms into Super Saiyan Blue and fires off a Kamehameha in an attempt to stop it. From nearby, Xeno Trunks and the Future Warrior in Black spot the blast and realize that it must be stopped. Though hesitant to leave his comrade alone, the Future Warrior heads off when several allies in the name of Uub, Pikkon, Olibu and others arrive to give the heroes some much needed back up.
The Space-Time family Kamehameha
As Goku finds himself becoming overwhelmed, he finds backup in the Future Warrior who adds his own Kamehameha to the mix. Goku enters into his Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken state to give himself an additional power boost but Demigra ups his power output and pushes back. When all hope seems lost, Goku and the Future Warrior are joined by the Warrior in Black. The trio of Saiyans decide to give it all that they've got as Goku transforms into Perfected Ultra Instinct, the Future Warrior in Black into Super Saiyan 2 and the Warrior in Black into Super Saiyan 4 as their blasts combine into one mighty attack that obliterates Demigra.
Duel of the Strongest[]
With the latest threat overcome, Aeos and Chronoa use the Time Scrolls to restore everything to the way it once was, bringing the Time Nest back in pristine condition and healing Goku and the others of their wounds. Chronoa thanks the trio, explaining that the foes summoned by Demigra have also been returned to their respective Space-Times. Just then the Mysterious Guide appears, saying that the Super-Space Time Tournament will now continue as per Goku's request to Aeos.
A series of battles take place as Vegeta battles Xeno Vegeta in a evenly matched fight. Piccolo battles Pikkon, Jiren and Hit face off against Hearts and Cumber, Grandpa Gohan takes on Master Roshi, Chi-Chi fights Annin and finally Krillin takes on Tien Shinhan.
Goku battles his counterpart Xeno Goku
On a separate battlefield, after all the other battles reach their conclusion, only one remains between Goku and Xeno Goku. Deciding to go all out from the start, Xeno Goku transforms into Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker and Goku into Ultra Instinct Sign as they begin their epic clash. The two are shown to be evenly matched and finally on the verge of exhaustion Xeno Goku uses the last bit of his energy to charge in readying a mighty punch. However at the last second Goku transforms into Perfected Ultra Instinct, narrowly avoiding the blow and landing a solid punch in return to Xeno Goku's face that causes him to fall and admit defeat. Goku claims victory just before collapsing himself from exhaustion.
Chronoa and Aeos make amends
With the tournament over, Aeos begins to head off to explore various other Space-Times in order to determine with her own eyes whether there should be only one true Space-Time or whether it is possible for multiple of them to co-exist. She decides to entrust things to Chronoa once more but tells her that if she finds her beliefs to be in the wrong she will return. The two then shake hands, having amended things, at least for the time being and heads off with the rest of the Warriors in Black.
The fighters then make preparations to head back home to their original Space-Times.
Game Version[]
Gathering of the Strongest[]
Goku and Vegeta are training after their fight with Fu, when they are approached by the Mysterious Guide who tells them that they have been invited to the "Super Space-Time Tournament". Excited by the prospect of fighting strong people, they quickly accept, and are teleported away to the tournament's location.
Once there, Goku and Vegeta reunite with Gohan, Piccolo, Hit, Jiren and Yamcha. The Mysterious Guide welcomes the competitors to the Super Space-Time Tournament and explains that they were chosen by the "Luck of Time Box". Looking around at the other competitors, Goku is surprised to see people like General Blue and Ninja Murasaki chosen as participants. He then notices his alternate counterpart Xeno Goku and shouts over to him, the two of them elated at having the opportunity to fight each other again.
The Mysterious Guide continues explaining the tournament, telling the participants that they are split into twelve teams, and must either capture a "Centi" or defeat all the other teams in order to win. The Mysterious Guide ends by promising a wonderful prize for the victorious team, which Yamcha expresses excitement for, before sending the fighters down to the tournament's stage.
After arriving on the stage, the Universe 7 team members quickly split up to Gohan's exasperation. The Time Patrol meanwhile bump into Tapion who immediately recognizes Xeno Trunks as belonging to a different spacetime from the Trunks he met, though Xeno Trunks does not recognize him in return. Tapion urges Xeno Trunks to show him his power, declaring that it will be a fun battle.
Elsewhere, Jiren encounters Broly, who demands to know where Goku is. The two clash, but are interrupted by Hirudegarn who rains fire down on the pair. Hit uses Time-Skip to save Jiren, who protests that he could have stopped the fire but thanks Hit nonetheless.
Black Plan[]
As time starts running out, Gohan, Piccolo and Vegeta chase a Centi. Elsewhere, Yamcha flees from Mecha Frieza, and Janemba faces off against Kid Buu.
Turles muses about being forced out of Hell to participate in the tournament and is confronted by Raditz, who transforms into a Super Saiyan 3. Turles transforms into an Evil Saiyan and the two face off. While Raditz shares his eagerness to go on a rampage after winning the tournament and escaping Hell, Turles remembers Vegeta's words about a Saiyan's true nature being their strength, and channels his new resolve to land a decisive hit on Raditz.
Elsewhere Yamcha, having escaped from Frieza, stumbles into the Centi and catches it, ending the first round. Team 1 and the two other winning teams are returned to the main hall, and Goku and Gohan ask what happened to the losing teams. Aeos suddenly appears with the Warriors in Black, and explains that they were erased from spacetime, before introducing herself to the remaining fighters.
Proof of True Strength[]
Aeos tells the remaining participants that she cannot allow the timelines to continue to multiply, and that the losing teams will be erased along with their Time Scrolls. All of the participants are then teleported away to different locations for the beginning of the second round.
Vidro explains the rules of the second round to the remaining combatants; each Warrior in Black holds a Time Fairy, and whoever can defeat one of them and take their Time Fairy can go to the center of the stage and be taken to Aeos's palace. Vegeta, Hit and Yamcha prepare to fight, as Vidro sends her Glass Soldiers to the four stages.
On Planet Namek, Gohan and Piccolo prepare to fight the Namekian in Black. On Planet Vegeta, the Warrior in Black watches the Glass Soldiers move out and muses on the power of the Glass Tribe. Elsewhere on the planet, Xeno Pan is assulted by a group of Glass Soldiers, but is saved by Jiren.
In a ruined West City on Earth, Xeno Trunks is confronted by the Future Warrior in Black, who transforms into a Super Saiyan and reveals himself to be a version of Future Gohan. Super Space-Time's Collision[]
As Goku and Jiren's battle against the Warrior in Black continues, they begin pushing him back. The Warrior in Black uses the power given to him by the Dark Dragon Balls to transform into Super Saiyan 3, exciting Goku who also powers up. The Warrior in Black compliments Goku, referring to him by name for the first time, prompting Goku to ask who the Warrior in Black is. The Warrior in Black replies that he is a low-class Saiyan warrior who threw away his past to gain power.
Elsewhere, the other battles continue raging. Chronoa searches for the other members of the Time Patrol. On Planet Namek, Gohan engages the Namekian in Black and his Glass Soldiers. On Planet Glass, the Female Warrior in Black attacks Yamcha and Vegeta with her two clones, but Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan God SS Evolved and easily destroys the clones. Hit assaults the Female Warrior in Black while her guard is down but Yamcha gets in the way of the finishing blow, protesting that she hasn't done anything to deserve death. Hit moves to beat him up, but Yamcha is protected by the Female Warrior in Black, who vows that Hit will not lay a finger on her "darling". She clarifies that both Yamcha's looks and his kindness are her type, and that she would see it as a nightmare if he were to disappear.
Elsewhere in the Selection Realm, Chronoa breaks past Aeos's time barrier and confronts the former Supreme Kai of Time, demanding she return the Time Scrolls, who responds by saying that she should try and take them by force.
On Planet Vegeta, the Warrior in Black uses his full power and charges a large energy blast. Goku responds with a Kamehameha, which clashes with the Warrior in Black's attack. The Warrior in Black compliments Goku for his strength and proclaims that he will get even stronger too. Goku returns the compliment but refuses to lose the battle, increasing the intensity of his Kamehameha to overpower the Warrior in Black.
Divine Dimension Decisive Battle[]
In the Selection Realm, Chronoa and Aeos face off against each other, both transforming into the Time Power Unleashed state. Meanwhile, Goku prepares to go to the Selection Realm with the Time Fairy he retrieved from the Warrior in Black, but is assaulted by many warriors trying to steal the fairy from him.
Elsewhere, Demigra observes the events of the Super Space-Time Tournament from his ship, when he finally tracks down the location of the Dark Factor released by Fu upon his death. The Dark Factor, fully controlled by Mechikabura, is searching for his body when Demigra arrives and begins absorbing it.
A revived Cell finds himself in the replica of West City, and decides to test the power he gained from absorbing people in Hell. He bumps into Turles, noting his resemblance to Goku, and decides to fight him.
In the Selection Realm, Aeos refuses to be swayed by Chronoa's arguments against her plan. Goku then arrives with the Time Fairy and thanks her for the tournament, but asks that she not erase any spacetimes. Aeos declines his request and attempts to Freeze him, but Goku uses the speed of his Ultra Instinct Sign state to avoid her. The two battle at high speed, and Aeos eventually manages to stop Goku's legs. Goku begins charging a Kamehameha, and Aeos responds with her own attack. The two techniques collide, damaging the Selection Realm.
Anime and Manga Differences[]
- All of the battles in the manga are different from those that took place during the anime, most notably Goku's battle against Future Android 17 and 18.
- The fight between Jiren and Broly is much more expanded on in the manga than in the anime. Hit's involvement in their battle was never shown or mentioned in the anime.
- In the anime, Jiren and the Warrior in Black never fought. In the manga, the two battle each other first before Goku faces the Warrior in Black.
- In the anime, Goku used Ultra Instinct Sign from the very start whereas in the manga he attempted to use Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan Blue first.
- In the manga, Vegeta initially joins the beam struggle until he is attacked by Xeno Omega Shenron. In the anime, he is not involved.
- In the manga, Goku and Xeno Goku is the only fight that takes place following Demigra's defeat. In the anime, several battles take place such as Vegeta vs. Xeno Vegeta, Krillin vs. Tien and Piccolo vs. Pikkon.
