One example of a Supportive Technique would be the Telekinesis technique, used by Chiaotzu and General Blue. It is first seen in Dragon Ball, where General Blue uses it in the fight between Goku, Krillin and himself. He uses it in order to pin Goku down, so that he may openly attack him. However, Goku eventually breaks free from it. It is then seen in the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, where Chiaotzu uses it in the match with Krillin, where he directly attacks Krillin's internal organs without touching him. Later in the tournament, during Goku's match against Tien, Chiaotzu is ordered by Master Shen to repeatedly paralyze Goku and hold him in place with his telekinesis. Tien discovers this however, and tells Chiaotzu to stop this. Telekinesis can also be used to move inanimate objects, as seen when Frieza is moving the Namekian Dragon Balls.

Multi-Form is another Supportive Technique. Multi-Form is the ability to split the user's body into multiple duplicates. It was first used by Tien Shinhan in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. To perform it, Tien powers up and splits into two, then those two split clones into four. However, as Goku later discovered, each clone also owns one quarter of Tien's total strength. Krillin, Piccolo, Cell and Gogeta have all been seen to know and use similar cloning techniques. Supportive Techniques are techniques which appear in the Dragon Ball series, that are used in order to assist the user or his/her friend(s) in a fight. There are a few number of Supportive Techniques, however, they are significant and memorable in the series.

Overview

After Goku removed his weighted clothes it became apparent that Goku's Speed was too much for Tien, to counter it Tien unveiled his new technique. To perform it, Tien powers up and splits into two, then those two split clones into four. However, as Goku later discovered, each clone also owns one quarter of Tien's total strength. Krillin, Piccolo, Cell and Gogeta have all been seen to know and use similar cloning techniques. Although Krillin can not use it to the extent that Tien could, he can create three versions of himself.
