This article is about the out-of-control Super Saiyan state used by Goku. For the berserker Super Saiyan, see Legendary Super Saiyan. For the berserk Super Saiyan 2 used by Broly, see Legendary Super Saiyan 2.

Super Saiyan (Berserk) (スーパーサイヤじんぼうそう Sūpā Saiya-jin Bōsō, lit. Super Saiyan Out of Control)[2][3] is an Evil Aura corrupted version of either Super Saiyan (in the games and manga) or Super Saiyan 2 (in the anime).

Overview[]

Appearance[]

The games and the manga depict the form as a corrupted Super Saiyan, while the anime depicts it as a corrupted Super Saiyan 2.

The form possesses the same appearance as Super Saiyan, but with black electric sparks and blanked out eyes. His skin also appears much darker.

Usage and power[]

Goku takes on this form during the Prison Planet Saga, after Cumber's Evil Aura affects him. This form itself possesses the Evil Aura.

In the manga, Super Saiyan (Berserk) Goku is able to knock down Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta using his Evil Aura. Base Future Trunks is able to just barely block Goku's Evil Aura based attack in this state, and Final Form Cooler is able to knock him away by attacking him from behind. Cooler is forced to become Golden Cooler in order to defeat Super Saiyan (Berserk) Goku, casually swatting him aside before using his strongest technique against Goku in an attempt to kill him, Goku survives albeit defeated. After being defeated, Goku reverts to normal and notes that he does not remember what happened to him.

In the anime, Super Saiyan (Berserk) Goku beats back base Vegeta, but appears slightly outmatched when battling Super Saiyan Future Trunks (who is handicapped by his ki-sealing handcuffs). Golden Cooler knocks down Super Saiyan (Berserk) Goku with a single punch, which frees him from corruption.

SSJ Berserk Vegeta Control

Vegeta controls back the Evil Aura

In the manga version of the New Space-Time War Saga, Vegeta takes on this form after being affected by Evil Aura during the battle with Turles and Cumber. He then rushes in to launch an array of wild attacks on the pair but having lost all fighting senses, he fails and gets knocked aside. Soon enough after declaring the true path of power to be a Saiyan's pride, Vegeta gains back control of his body and the evil power and ascends to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Berserk Controlled) and takes down the Evil Saiyan duo.

Variations[]

Video Game Appearances[]

Super Saiyan (Berserk) appears in Dragon Ball Heroes, where it was added as a form for Goku in Universe Mission 2.

In World Mission, Super Saiyan (Berserk) Goku is playable via his "UM2-031" card. Additionally, there is a Goku (Super Saiyan, Berserk) character sticker that can be used to create a Super Saiyan (Berserk) Goku custom card via Card Creation.
