Story[]

Note
Summary came from Wikipedia

Following the Tournament of Power, a mysterious figure named Fu kidnaps Future Trunks. Fu lures Goku and Vegeta to the Prison Planet, an experimental area which Fu created and has filled with strong warriors from different planets and eras in order to force them into a game where they must collect the seven Special Dragon Balls if they wish to escape.

However the Prison Planet was only the beginning of Fu's experiments. Based on the experimental data collected at the Prison Planet, Fu finally begins his real experiment! What is Fu's real goal, and what is his real power? Goku and companions from "Dark Demon Realm Mission" and "Universe Mission" appear! An experiment involving the whole universe and space-time!

After Fu's defeat, warriors and fighters from all over the space-time gather to participate in the Super Space-Time Tournament planned by Aeos, the former Supreme Kai of Time. Goku and his allies face very powerful opponents. The tournament is later interrupted with the appearance of Demigra and his cohorts.

After the tournament concludes, Goku and his allies deal with Majin Ozotto, a being who aims to absorb every creature and planet in the universe to gain their power.

Reception[]

The anime has garnished mixed reviews, with some fans saying that despite some of its good moments, the quality of the anime has ranged from decent to soulless to trying to find an identity for itself. Even though it's only aired for promotional purposes, a lot of fans (mainly those overseas) wished that it would have stuck with a better premise to begin with.

Trivia[]

  • The anime didn't follow a release schedule until around mid to late-2020 when it announced that it will follow a monthly schedule, despite concerns surrounding the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
  • On November 15th, 2020, the Saiyan Avatars, Beat and Note, alongside the new God of Destruction Avatars made their anime debut, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Dragon Ball Heroes series. The special episode sees Beat tapping into Ultra Instinct Sign.
