It is figure number 21 of the basic scale Super Guerriers series. The figure’s cardboard showcases Super Saiyan Vegeta as the main backdrop and depicts an image of Videl as Great Saiyawoman on the top corner.

Neo Keyholder set including Mr. Satan, Majin Buu, and Super Buu

  • High Quality Keyholder Series
  • Release date: 2008

Banpresto revealed a slew of Keyholder figurines as one of their basic lineups. In the set released in 2008 and entitled "Neo High Quality Key Holder," the Majin Buu saga is well-depicted in the trio of Mr. Satan, Majin Buu, and Super Buu. The detail is remarkable and the paint job is very unique with a shiny and glossy look. When it comes to Mr. Satan, he is seen in an arms-crossed posture and stands back-to-back with Majin Buu. Super Buu is seen above them both with an insane-looking position with his neck bent and a sinister expression on his face. Majin Buu retains his infantile and innocent reaction as Mr. Satan has a confident and self-absorbed smile across his face. The facial detail is amazing in terms of construct and resemblance. The only detrimental factor of this full piece is that all the characters are cut off at their torso, which means that there are no legs to go along with the base. Mr. Satan cuts off at his championship belt and Majin Buu has some of the fumes building underneath him but there are no legs as a part of this trio set. Other Neo keyholder pieces in this set are Imperfect Cell, Semi-Perfect Cell, and Perfect Cell as the evolution of Cell set, the renegade trio of Android 16, Android 17, and Android 18, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku with Majin Vegeta and Kid Trunks.

This is a newly made variant of the Super Buu versus Vegito piece from Part 4 of the Capsule Neo series. This version has slightly more detail and the coloring is brighter as well as depicting a strong amount of bright light for Vegito's attack. However, Super Buu's portion of the piece is slightly smaller than the previous version. Of course, the scene comes with a nice base, which in this case happens to be a sky area.

Super Buu versus Super Saiyan Vegito diorama gold variant

  • Capsule Neo Buu Returns Series Part 22
  • Release date: 2009

Released in August 2009 is MegaHouse's addition to the Neo series. Like its predecessors, this series depicted highlighted scenes from the series run. Super Buu is seen being struck by Super Saiyan Vegito's blinding ray. As the rest of the series is also released in a gold version, this is the gold variant of the same aforementioned diorama set. The base as well as the characters are completely colored in a gold texture. This makes for a nice alternative collectible to the colored version, being equally rare yet unique for collectible value.

  • Release date: 1999

Irwin Toy has re-released the enormous large-scale 16 inch Super Buu in 1999 as a part of the first Super Size Warriors series. As a part of the original Saga Continues line, the packaging matches the rest of the initial figures, maintaining the green boxart with the other characters from the set listed on the back. The figure is extremely large by height and width, placing a great deal of impression on the character’s expression and pose. All the details remain intact, even the loose pants and antennae. His facial expression is that of complete viciousness.

Series 9 Super Buu figure

  • The Saga Continues Series 9
  • Release date: 1999

Irwin Toy's basic toy lineup entitled "The Saga Continues" series 9 was released in 1999 and has included a figure set which incorporated a re-released Super Buu from the AB line. The boxart reads "With Accessories" and lists the character as "Majin Boo" on the box front as his primary naming scheme. The figure is nice for a basic piece in terms of mobility and height. The articulation is limited, allowing for movement for the arms albeit having almost-immobile legs. With the minor articulation flaws, this figure remains one of Super Buu's most reissued pieces at a 5-inch scale by Irwin, the actual first model being the AB version of this same piece. The box mockup has green, blue, and purple aura as the background. The coloring used on the title area background is blue for this piece. The figure comes with a bazooka and a Dragon Ball as his accessories.

  • Release date: 1999

Irwin Toy’s basic toy lineup entitled “The Saga Continues” series 10 was released in 1999 and has reissued the same Super Buu figure from the aforementioned lineup. The differentiating factor for this figure is the box mockup listing it as a "Series 10" figure as opposed to a "Series 9" figure. Otherwise, the figure remains exactly the same in terms of the contents of this release. The box front of this version reads “With Accessories” and lists the character as "Majin Boo," continuing the primary naming scheme. This remains the only model offered by Irwin as a base height figure for Super Buu to be manufactured at a 5-inch scale, the actual first model being the AB version of this same piece. Other differences from the previous Series 9 release are the front title area background now having a green coloring and the figure now comes with a gray bazooka as opposed to a black bazooka as his accessory piece. The figure still comes with an extra Dragon Ball and this time, he also has an insignia included in the packaging.

  • Release date: 2003

Continuing the large-scale tradition alongside Giant Ape, Jakks Pacific has released a 12-inch Super Buu figure model in 2003 with a unique packaging and bubble. The packaging lists him as "Majin Buu" on the box front. The figure is highly detailed and greatly modeled after the initial construct of the character, entailing all the features with extreme specification on each muscle, signifying the usage of texture and consistency with the character’s skin surface. The paint job in particular is exquisite for a large-scale figure, allowing for all the features to be seen in greater depth. Also, there is a good deal of articulation allowed for such a large figure, particularly in terms of both legs having double horizontal joints for unique poses. The distinguishing factor for this large collectible is the transparent feature for his skin tone, allowing for a very unique touch as a Super Buu in his Gohan-absorbed state.

There are some minor differentiating patterns on the packaging, but the initial figure seems to remain the same in its shape, detail, and overall coloring scheme. As with most of the figures being reissues from previous releases, the box mockup is impressive yet it does little for the actual item in terms of additional features. The packaging still lists him as "Majin Buu" on the box front. Other characters also included in this large-scale set are Porunga and Super Android 13. This version of the packaging portrays Porunga as opposed to Shenron, which was the image depicted on the previous variant.

There is indeed some minor alterations in terms of the paint job and overall packaging being redone to create a different boxart and bubble, but the contents are still quite similar to previous molds. The Super Buu, however, seems to come with a fabric material clothing just to differentiate that he is in his Gotenks' absorbed state. The vest can easily be removed and placed back on the figure. The pieces all have a "Limited Edition" logo painted on their models.
