"Leaps up and fires a Ki Wave downward."
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Tutorial description

Shooting Star Arrow (シューティングスターアロー Shūtingu Sutā Arō) is an Energy Wave used by Zarbon.

Overview[]

ShootingStarArrow2

Zarbon charges the Shooting Star Arrow

First, Zarbon puts his right hand upward and charges an orange energy sphere. He then puts his hand forward and fires an energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage.

Usage[]

Zarbon uses this attack to kill an old Namekian while he, Dodoria and Frieza are interrogating for the whereabouts of the Namekian Dragon Balls at Moori's village. After Zarbon killed an elder with a kick to the neck as an example of the Frieza Force's power, a second elder, enraged, moves to attack Zarbon. Zarbon tosses up one of the Dragon Balls he is holding, dodges the old Namekian's Energy Cannon (killing one of his soldiers instead), and kills him with the Shooting Star Arrow. Zarbon then gracefully returns to Frieza's side and brilliantly catches the Dragon Ball he threw into the sky.

Video Game Appearances[]

Shooting Star Arrow was named in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, where it is one of Zarbon's Blast 2 attacks. The attack also appears in the Raging Blast series, Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, and Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle. In all those video games, the technique is an energy barrage wave. Zarbon also uses the technique when summoned in Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2, where it is an energy wave.

This attack reappears in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 under the name Gorgeous Shot, as one of Zarbon's Super Skills. It can also be learned by the Future Warrior by completing Student Quest: Lesson 1 of Zarbon's Training. Unlike most video games, Gorgeous Shot is depicted as an Energy Wave in Xenoverse 2. Interestingly, it is called Shooting Piledriver in the Plot description of Lesson 1 of Zarbon's Training despite the Skill being listed as Gorgeous Shot in the mission's Basic Rewards section.
