"Be perfect in hell!!"
— Vegito's last ditch effort to finish Zamasu in Showdown! The Miraculous Power of Unyielding Warriors

Savage Strike (サべージストライカー Sabāji Sutoraikā) is a Energy Punch used by Vegito in his Super Saiyan Blue form.

Overview

The horizontal punch

Vegito uses the Instant Transmission to teleport above his opponent and clads his fist in blue-colored ki. Vegito then punches the opponent down to the ground, inflicting a huge amount of damage. This attack can also be used as a standard punch to knock the opponent away horizontally, like Goku's Super God Fist.

Usage

Vegito used this attack's standard punch upon fusing in his battle with Fused Zamasu. Tired of Fused Zamasu rambling on about his godlihood like he has a habit of doing, Vegito interrupts Fused Zamasu by punching him away. Later on in the battle, after Fused Zamasu emerged from Vegito's Final Kamehameha, Vegito teleports directly above Fused Zamasu and uses the Savage Strike, however immediately after he defuses back into Goku and Vegeta from having used up the power needed to sustain the fusion.

During the Tournament of Power, Vegeta in his SS Blue (Evolved) form uses this technique against God of Destruction Mode Top. The attack was powerful enough to break Toppo's Energy of Destruction.

The Future Warrior using Savage Strike in Xenoverse 2

This attack was named in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 where it appears as part of the Super Pack 4 DLC as one of SSGSS Vegito's Super Skills. After the 1.07.00 Update, it can also be obtained by the Future Warrior by purchasing it from the TP Medal Shop for 200 TP Medals.[1] The attack functions similar to Super God Fist though the camera does not zoom in when the attack is performed in-game. Additional input before the attack is performed will cause the user to use Instant Transmission to teleport above the opponent and deliver a downward energy punch instead. If the standard forward punch is performed after knocking back the opponent, the user will teleport to chase after them in order to deliver a dashing energy punch. Alternatively, the user can use the secondary downward punch instead after knocking the opponent back which will cause the user to teleport using Instant Transmission above and slightly ahead of the opponent to hit them with the downward punch. As a result, this skill can be seen as a more versatile and advanced version of Super God Fist.

In Dragon Ball FighterZ, the secondary Instant Transmission downward punch portion of Savage Strike is named Omega Finishing Blow and appears as one of Vegito Blue's aerial Special Moves.

Trivia

  • This is the first instance where an attack is invented by a fused being that is used by one of the fusees.
