Saiya Power (サイヤパワー, Saiya Pawā) is a term used to describe the unique ki of a Saiyan.

Overview

Though relatively unexplained, Saiya Power seems to refer to a Saiyan's natural energy, which appears to be red in color. In Dragon Ball Fusions, it is known as Red Energy and is one of five types of energy (Red Energy for Saiyans), separating it from energy types of other races. Traits of red-colored Saiya Power can be seen during Saiyan Ki Transfer, such as during Goku's Super Full Power Saiyan 4 and Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta's Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker transformations, respectively (both of which display a red radiation of energy).

Usage

Despite being a Tuffle, Baby was actually the first to demonstrate growth from Saiya Power in Dragon Ball GT, stealing it from the likes of Goten in order to become stronger. This eventually allowed him to reach much higher levels of power than his youthful form could manage.

Goku later acquired Saiya Power from Goten, Trunks, Pan, and Gohan in order to fully power his Super Saiyan 4 form to completely overwhelm Golden Great Ape Baby. During the Shadow Dragon Saga, he once again assumed Super Full Power Saiyan 4 by gaining Goten, Trunks, and Gohan's Saiya Power in order to fight Syn Shenron.

In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta are able to achieve Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker with Saiya Power received from Xeno Pan, Super Saiyan God Xeno Trunks, Goku and Vegeta (who were in base form in the manga and Super Saiyan Blue in both game and anime scenarios). This new level of power allowed the Time Patrollers to eradicate Black Janemba completely.

In Dragon Ball Fusions, Saiya Power is represented as Red Energy in the same manner that Blue Energy represents Earthlings, Purple Energy represents Offworlders, Yellow Energy represents Aliens, and Green Energy represents Namekians. The five Energy Types serve as currency within the Timespace Rift and can be collected by defeating the corresponding race (Saiyans drop Red Energy when defeated). Tekka's Team can increase the amount of energy they can carry by recruiting fighters (more Saiyans recruited the more Red Energy they can carry though only up to 999 Units for each Energy type).
