Parzan (パーザン Pāzan) is the self-proclaimed "King of the Jungle" and rival of Sourman who lives near Penguin Village.

Parzan bears a strong resemblance to Sourman whom he shares an adversarial relationship with. He is a human of short stature, though unlike his rival Sourman he has blonde hair.

Dr. Slump

Parzan with Cheeta on his back

In Dr. Slump, Parzan is shown acting as the "King of the Jungle", swinging through the jungle on a vine. After being insulted by a crocodile who calls him "little dingy", he is further humiliated by his pet monkey, Cheeta. Parzan fires Cheeta and replaces him with a large frog, but the frog leaves Parzan as well. Parzan then encounters Arale Norimaki and Gatchan, and attempts to show his strength as the King of the Jungle. However, Arale is much stronger than Parzan, and after he is unable to show her up after she plays with a bear, Parzan decides to drop his King of the Jungle title and tries to become the King of the Jungle Gym.

Later, Parzan makes a cameo in the chapter "Cute Delivery Boy from Hell". He is seen among the residents of Penguin Village running after Arale and Gatchan in "Penguin Village Dom-Dom-Dom!" He has the role of one of Cinderella's half-sisters in "Cinderella, the Musical".

Parzan confronts an alligator

Parzan is a contestant in the race organized in the "Penguin Gran Prix" chapters, using the big frog as his vehicle.

Dragon Ball
