Oozaru (大猿, Ōzaru; lit. "Great Apes") is a character in the 2009 film Dragonball Evolution. He is an adaptation of the Great Ape, a transformation assumed by members of the Saiyan race in Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball franchise, and is portrayed by Justin Chatwin.
Overview
Unlike in Toriyama's original franchise, the transformation in Dragonball Evolution is triggered by a solar eclipse rather than staring into a full moon, and its user does not require the tail of a Saiyan to transform. This transformation is also a lot smaller than the Great Ape form.
