The North Area (北エリア Kita Eria),[1] better known as the North Galaxy[2] (北銀河 Kita Ginga) (北の銀河 Kita no Ginga)[3] (which can alternatively be translated as North Galaxies), is the area of universe 7 ruled by the North Kai.
In Dragon Ball, a collection of planets forms a nebula, and a collection of nebulas forms a galaxy.[4]

The Milky Way Galaxy located in the North Area is where most of the series takes place. The ruler of the Milky Way Galaxy is the Galactic King, though the Frieza Force also claims control of it. It is mentioned in Jiya that there are around 200 billion stars in the Milky Way Galaxy.
