This article is about a member of the Spice Boys. For an alien with the same name, see Mustard (Alien).

"Yeah! Dig it man! You should join us! You would love it. They worship us. And soon they're gonna be like that for good."
— Mustard in "Battle in Kami's Lookout"

Mustard, known as Tard (タード Tādo) in the original Japanese version, is a member of the Spice Boys, working for Garlic Jr. during the Garlic Jr. Saga.

Mustard is tall, muscular, brown-skinned and frog-faced humanoid alien who has long red hair - including a pair of long sideburn-like "braids" - and bull horns. His biceps have two small horn-like appendages at the outer sides. Just like his cronies, he wears a Frieza Force-style jacket which is a black "leotard" armor with light purple pectorals and upper back. He also dons gloves and boots in the same purple of his armor (the boots have toe tips in the same black from the armor).

Mustard is aggressive, simple-minded and cocky. Like Spice, he tells Piccolo he should join Garlic Jr., how he'd love it and how the possessed people worship them. When Krillin tries to help Gohan from being beaten by Salt, Mustard attacks Krillin without Garlic Jr.'s permission. After seeing Gohan tapping into his latent power, he suggests that he and Salt should team up. When Salt is vaporized by Gohan, he is visibly upset, demanding vengeance and foolishly charges him. Like the other Spice Boys, he is cruel, sadistic and merciless, enjoying himself greatly when violently beating Krillin, and laughing at him with Salt after Krillin saved Gohan from Salt's Surprise Blast.

He speaks in a thick Cockney accent in the original Funimation dub.

Garlic Jr. Saga[]

Mustard attacking Krillin

After aiding Garlic Jr. and the rest of the Spice Boys to spread the Black Water Mist and capture Kami, he follows his comrades to Earth, where he helps take down the resistance near Kame House. Later on at the Lookout, he fights Krillin and nearly kills him. Shortly after, Gohan destroys Salt. Mustard becomes enraged at the loss of his ally and tries to attack Gohan but gets pummeled in his jaw by a kick from the young Saiyan and is left stunned. Gohan then proceeds to rapidly fire another Masenko, destroying Mustard.

Mustard was able to easily overwhelm Krillin twice but he was no match for Gohan when he tapped into his latent power.
