"Thank you! It's an essential Japanese anime that everyone knows about, and the “Z” in our name is also a deliberate reference to Dragon Ball, so we’re truly glad to get to handle the theme song this time."
— Kanako Momota - interview for Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ in the May 2015 Entermix issue, March 20, 2015.

Momoiro Clover Z (ももいろクローバーZ Momoiro Kurōbā Zetto) is a Japanese idol group. It is commonly abbreviated as Momoclo (ももクロ Momokuro). The group is known for energetic performances, incorporating elements of ballet, gymnastics, and action movies.[1]

In 2013, it was the fourth highest music artist by total sales revenue in Japan, with over ¥5.2 billion.[2] During 2014, about 486,000 people attended their live concerts, which was the highest record of all female musicians in Japan.[3] Momoiro Clover Z has been ranked as the most popular female idol group from 2013 to 2015.[4][5][6][7]

"All: Ohhh—— Frieza’s awesome!!!
Tamai: Taking safety into consideration, it’d be nice if it had the restriction of “not being allowed to throw things”. It’d be dangerous if someone got hit, after all. (laughs)
Sasaki: You’re nice like I am, Shiori-chan!
V-Jump interview for May 2015 issue, March 20, 2015.

"Momota: Gohan, I guess. It’s wonderful how he has a dream of being a scholar.
Sasaki: As for me…….
Momota: The lecherous Master Roshi?
Sasaki: What?! No!! I guess I’d be a Vegeta fan; he is a prince, after all.
Tamai: That’s quite the condescending attitude. (laughs) Definitely Tien Shinhan for me. He’s tall, and his name is cute and sounds delicious.
Momota: He’s a tricyclops, though. Are you really OK with that?
Tamai: What? Then, no way. (laughs)
Ariyasu: Krillin for me. This time he’s become a policeman, and more than anything, he seems like an upstanding person, don’t you think?
Sasaki: Plus you’re both short, after all. (laughs)
Takagi: I’ll of course go with Piccolo. That’s because the way he wears a turban is wonderful, like Shōnan-no-Kaze
— Interview with Momoclo in the May 2015 Entermix issue, March 20, 2015.

Momoclo provided the voices of Angels of Hell in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ and Dragon Ball Super.

On stage, Momoclo members are easily distinguished by the colors of their clothes, much like the characters from the Power Rangers television series,[8] which originated in Japan as Super Sentai. In some songs and music videos, the group loosely parodies them.[9] The group in the music video of Chikai no Z had a pose of the Ginyu Force. The colors for the group are red for Momota, yellow for Tamai, pink for Sasaki, green for Ariyasu and purple for Takagi.
