"Oh, Goz has done it again. Man, that big lug just can't resist finishing 'em off right away every time. Darn. I never get to have any fun!" |
Mez (メズ Mezu) is a large ogre in charge of Hell alongside Goz. He is the best runner in Hell.
Appearance[]
Mez's skin is red, he has black hair, and two horns. He wears black glasses, a white tank top & shorts, and red wristbands and shoes.
Personality[]
Mez is known for his playful and competitive nature as seen when he challenges Goku to a game of tag. He is also depicted as somewhat mischievous and enjoys a good challenge, but he ultimately helps Goku find his way back to Snake Way after their encounter.
Biography[]
Dragon Ball Z[]
Saiyan Saga[]
Mez throwing a little kabuki show
In the anime, Mez challenges Goku to a running competition and is doing quite well in it, but then Goku tricks him and wins (also managing to steal one of the Ensenji). After his loss, Mez shows a way back to Snake Way (to King Yemma's table, to be more precise).[1]
Majin Buu Saga[]
Mez and Goz watching the fight between Goku and Kid Buu
In the anime, Mez and Goz are shown to be in hiding from Cell, King Cold, Frieza, and the Ginyu Force. It was also implied in this scene that they would have told Cell and his rioters how to escape from Hell had they caught them in order to save their own lives, as they mentioned that they would tell them where the secret lair was when they thought Goku and Pikkon were Cell and his rebels. However, they were relieved it was Goku who they recognized from their former encounter and told him where the villains were located.[2]
In the anime, Mez reappears watching the fight between Kid Buu and Goku (and were also impressed by Kid Buu's putting up a fight). Goz recognized Goku in his Super Saiyan 3 form and pointed him out to Mez who realized why he lost to the Saiyan years ago.[3][4][5]
