"No! Kakarot's son will not be the one to reap vengeance on this monster! I will put an end to him, no one else!"
Vegeta in "A Hero's Sacrifice! Last Chance to Save the World!"

Maximum Flasher (マキシマムフラッシャー Makishimamu Furasshā)[1][2] is an Energy Wave used by Vegeta in his Super Saiyan, Majin, and Super Saiyan God SS Evolved forms.

Overview[]

Vegeta rushes at the opponent, drawing his right hand back behind him before thrusting it forward to fire a massive golden energy wave and severely damaging them.

Usage[]

Vegeta firing the Maximum Flasher at Cell

Vegeta uses this attack in an attempt to destroy Cell after he kills Future Trunks with a Full Power Death Beam. In a fit of rage over the death of his son, Vegeta transforms into his Super Saiyan form and attacks Cell with the Maximum Flasher. Vegeta follows up by releasing a powerful barrage of energy blasts against the Bio-Android, creating a huge cloud of smoke. Cell emerges from the barrage completely unharmed and nearly kills Vegeta with his Time to Die rush, but Gohan intercepts the final blast to save Vegeta's life at the cost of heavy damage to his left arm.[3]

Majin Vegeta uses this technique against Super Saiyan 2 Goku's Saiyan Aura Blast.[4]

Super Saiyan Vegeta uses this technique in conjunction with Super Saiyan Goku's Saiyan Aura Blast against Super Buu. However, Super Buu counterattacks with his Mystic Shooter, scattering the attacks into many energy blasts across the Earth.[5]

In the anime, Vegeta unleashes this technique in his Super Saiyan God SS Evolved form against Jiren in the Tournament of Power. However, Jiren manages to dissipate the attack with an Energy Punch.[6]

Other Dragon Ball stories[]

In Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, Super Saiyan Vegeta uses this technique most notably in conjunction with Goku's Super Kamehameha, Future Trunks' Burning Attack, and Gohan's Super Masenko to collide with Hatchiyack's Revenger Cannon and destroy him for good.

Similar Techniques[]

Super Saiyan Second Grade Vegeta uses a similar technique against Semi-Perfect Cell.[7]

In Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler, Super Saiyan Vegeta uses a similar technique in conjunction with Super Saiyan Goku 's Saiyan Aura Blast-like technique against Meta-Cooler as part of their Death-Defying Combination.

In Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound, Super Saiyan Vegeta uses a similar technique against Bojack.

In Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, Super Saiyan Vegeta uses similar techniques against a bunch of Ghost Warrior henchmen sent on Earth by Ghost Lychee.
