Matsuji Kishimoto (岸本 松司) is a Japanese producer.

Biography[]

Matsuji Kishimoto was the production manager for the anime series Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z until August 1990, being last credited for Dragon Ball Z episode 58. He was then replaced by Takeshi Torimoto.

Kishimoto worked on the movies Dr. Slump and Arale-chan: Hello! Wonder Island, Dr. Slump: "Hoyoyo!" Space Adventure, Dr. Slump and Arale-chan: Hoyoyo! The Treasure of Nanaba Castle, Dr. Slump and Arale-chan: Hoyoyo, Great Round-the-World Race, Dr. Slump and Arale-chan: Hoyoyo! Dream Capital Mecha Police, Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies, Dragon Ball: Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle, and Dragon Ball: Mystical Adventure. Kishimoto also produced the movies Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest and Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might.

Outside of the anime adaptations of Akira Toriyama's manga series, he worked on Andersen Dōwa - Ningyo Hime, Go-Q-Choji Ikkiman, Machine Hayabusa, and Taro the Dragon Boy.
