The Masenko Ball is an energy ball version of the Masenko used by Gohan. First, Gohan puts hands up above his forehead like the normal Masenko, but keeps charging it until it forms an energy ball. Then, he draws the Masenko Ball back with his hand and throws it at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage.

Gohan used the attack against Frieza in his second form. After witnessing his friend Krillin being nearly killed by Frieza, Gohan, in a fierce rage, attacked the tyrant with a powerful barrage of punches, kicks, and rapid energy blasts. The continuous energy blasts formed a mass bubble of energy where Frieza laid on the ground. Gohan then followed the attack by charging and firing the Masenko Ball at the mass of energy, causing it to detonate like a grenade and somewhat damaging Frieza.

The attack appears in the Budokai Tenkaichi series as Kid Gohan's full-powered ki blast. The attack also appears in Infinite World and is one of Kid Gohan's attacks. In this game, it is named Masendan.
