This page refers to Malaysian broadcast of Dragon Ball anime series. All the series were broadcasted between 2000-2005, but almost all of the dubs are now considered lost.
Dragon Ball[]
The 153 episodes were dubbed in Malay, and they had two dubs. A complete dub was made by TV2 in the early 2000's, and the other was made by Astro Ceria in the early 2010's (only sixty episodes were dubbed).
Dragon Ball was first aired on TV2 from 2000. The dubbing was make by Filem Karya Nusantara Sdn Bhd. The series aired on Sundays and Saturdays at 9:00AM after Sailor Moon.
In 2008, TV9 began airing the series again every Friday at 7:00PM. However, only 30 episodes in total were aired.
The newer dub of the Dragon Ball was aired on Astro Ceria started from 2011. The voice casts were mostly changed from the older dub. Only 60 episodes were dubbed and aired.
Dragon Ball Z[]
A Malay dub of Dragon Ball Z likely aired between 2000 and 2005. Currently the only trace of its existence is thanks to a newspaper TV guide that claimed to broadcast the series in 2004, therefore it is considered a lost dubbing.
Dragon Ball GT[]
Dragon Ball Z Kai[]
The first 98 episodes were dubbed in Malay. Only episodes 56, 64-65, 70, 72, 74-75, 87-95 were recently found.
The Final Chapters was not dubbed in Malay.
Dragon Ball Super[]
Dragon Ball Super first time shown in Malaysia through Astro's new channel TAA-DA! on September 11, 2021. Only 67 episodes were shown on the channel. This series is provided with English Funimation and Malay audio. This Malay dub is based on English and keep the opening and closing songs in English unlike on Cartoon Network do with Dragon Ball Zkai that dubs songs to Malay.
Films[]
Dragonball Evolution arrived in theaters on March 12, 2009, without being dubbed.
All Dragon Ball movies (Speedy Video dub) were found, The Path to Power has 2 Malay dubs, one was broadcasted in Cartoon Network Asia, and the other dub was made by Speedy Video.
Dragon Ball Z movies as: The Dead Zone (Speedy Video), The World's Strongest (both CN Asia and Speedy Video dubs), Tree of Might (Speedy Video dub), Lord Slug (both CN Asia and Speedy Video dubs), Cooler's Revenge (Speedy Video dub) The Return of Cooler (Speedy Video dub) and Super Android 13 (Speedy Video dub), Bojack's Unbound (Speedy Video), Broly's Second Coming (Speedy Video dub), Bio-Broly (Speedy Video dub) and Fusion Reborn (TV2 dub) are the only Dragon Ball Z films that were recently found dubbed on Malay.
For the moment, Fusion Reborn was the only movie known that was shown in the channel TV2 in early 2000's.
Dragon Ball GT special (Speedy Video) was found.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly were released on Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and Thailand on December 27, 2018. (Not dubbed, only subtitles)

Trivia[]
- Unlike the Speedy Video English dub, the Speedy Malay dub is directly based in the 2nd Cantonese dub, for VCD releases.
- This is one of the rarest dubs of Dragon Ball.
- Only Fusion Reborn movie was broadcasted by TV2.
- The DB TV2 dub were based in the Cantonese dub only at the begining, while rest of TV2 dubs, CN Asia movies and DBZ Kai were based in the Funi dub, and the NTV7 Kai dub was based in the Japanese.
- Goku's name in the begining of the TV2 dub was "Suzikon".
- The Speedy Video Malay cast for movies was conformed by 4-6 people.
- Faithull Hussein dubbed Gohan for the first time in the Speedy Video's Malay dub of Movie 9, then he would back again for DBZ Kai.
