Makafushigi Adventure! (魔訶不思議アドベンチャー! Makafushigi Adobenchā!, lit. "Mystical Adventure!") is the opening for the anime adaption of Dragon Ball.
Overview[]
"Makafushigi Adventure!" was composed by Takeshi Ike, arranged by Kōhei Tanaka, written by Yuriko Mori, and sung/performed by Hiroki Takahashi (Columbia Records). The song was redone in English by Jimi Tunnell and produced by Carl Finch for Funimation in 2001. There was another English version of the song done by Harmony Gold USA in 1989, used for their English dub, which can be considered the first English version of the song. Unlike Funimation, however, this version left the background music unedited. There was another English version of the song by the Creative Productions Corporation, which was the first faithful English translation of the lyrics, predating Funimation's. Created in 1995 and officially released in 1996 (via "Songs of a High Spirited Saga"), it was sung and performed by a group of Filipino children, coined Age of Wonder. The song's official name is "Get That Dragon Ball" and was sung at many of Age of Wonder's live performances. Hiroki Takahashi also recorded an English version, which was released as part of the 2008 album Inazuma Challenger.

- In 2012, Makafushigi Adventure! was parodied in a Japanese commercial for Toyota's Sienta model. The commercial features a family goofing off at an aquarium, while the female TV personality Shōko Haida sings the brief parody in the background.
