Majin Buu Resurrection (魔人ブウ復活計画 Majin Bū Fukkatsu Keikaku) is a combined Rush Attack used by Spopovich and Yamu.

First, Spopovich charges at the opponent and back hand punches them away. Then, he flies after the opponent and again back hand punches the opponent away. Next, he shouts "I win!", as Yamu appears and the two chase after the opponent. Spopovich grabs the opponent by the neck, and Yamu stabs and drains the victims energy (usually represented by health in games) with an Energy Absorber. When finished, Yamu takes the energy container out of the opponent and flies off as Spopovich lets go and stomps the opponent down into the ground, inflicting very painful damage.

Spopovich and Yamu prepared for the attack

Spopovich used part of this attack with Yamu against Gohan at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. Surprised by the increased energy rating on the Energy Meter caused by Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 form, Spopovich and Yamu got ready and jumped into the arena to attack Gohan. As Gohan prepared to fight them, Shin used his telekinesis to restrain Gohan, allowing Spopovich and Yamu to attack him with the "Majin Buu Resurrection" rush's neck grab and energy drainage. After they were done, Spopovich and Yamu flew off to give Babidi the stolen energy, with the Dragon Team in pursuit and Kibito healing Gohan.

Video Game Appearances

Spopovich and Yamu drain Gohan's energy this way in a cutscene in Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury. The attack was named Majin Buu Resurrection in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, where it appears as Spopovich's Ultimate Blast. If used while having Babidi as a tag-out partner, Babidi's Ultimate Power becomes much stronger (about three times the effect Babidi's throw gives). Without Spopovich holding the opponent, the attack is Yamu's special attack in Dragon Ball Heroes, named Energy Drain (エネルギードレイン).

In the story of Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road, Future Dabura uses this technique to steal Future Trunks' energy.

In Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission, the Villainous Mode empowered game world versions of Spopovich and Yamu use the technique on Great Saiyaman 3 under Dark Dabura's orders during their invasion of Hero Town in Chapter 2, Sub Chapter 2: "Hero Town in Danger!". Like with Gohan, Great Saiyaman 3 is energy drained and he becomes temporarily sidelined due to lacking Senzu Beans forcing Beat and Note to seek out Hero Switch-compatible candidates to increase the Dragon Ball Heroes Team's ranks leading to the recruitment of Froze. Energy Drain also appears as a Super Attack used by Yamu and by his Xeno world counterpart who appears as an enemy in the Arcade Mode Age Dark Demon God Buu Saga.
