Neo Keyholder set including Mr. Satan, Majin Buu, and Super Buu

  • High Quality Keyholder Series
  • Release date: 2008

Banpresto revealed a slew of Keyholder figurines as one of their basic lineups. In the set released in 2008 and entitled "Neo High Quality Key Holder," the Majin Buu saga is well-depicted in the trio of Mr. Satan, Majin Buu, and Super Buu. The detail is remarkable and the paint job is very unique with a shiny and glossy look. When it comes to Mr. Satan, he is seen in an arms-crossed posture and stands back-to-back with Majin Buu. Super Buu is seen above them both with an insane-looking position with his neck bent and a sinister expression on his face. Majin Buu retains his infantile and innocent reaction as Mr. Satan has a confident and self-absorbed smile across his face. The facial detail is amazing in terms of construct and resemblance. The only detrimental factor of this full piece is that all the characters are cut off at their torso, which means that there are no legs to go along with the base. Mr. Satan cuts off at his championship belt and Majin Buu has some of the fumes building underneath him but there are no legs as a part of this trio set. Other Neo keyholder pieces in this set are Imperfect Cell, Semi-Perfect Cell, and Perfect Cell as the evolution of Cell set, the renegade trio of Android 16, Android 17, and Android 18, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku with Majin Vegeta and Kid Trunks.

Forces of Evil Hercule and Majin Buu 2-pack

  • Jakks Pacific's Forces of Evil
  • Release date: 2003

Released in 2003, Irwin Toy's Hercule and Majin Buu were repacked as a 2-pack re-release set entitled "Forces of Evil." This is also a re-release of their accessories, the Dabura cookie (which stood at 2.5 inches) and Bee the puppy. However, the 2-pack was quite a mistake in its titling as Mr. Satan was never a force of evil and Majin Buu was later turned good so the defect in this 2-pack came in its initial title being rather inaccurate. However, the Dabura cookie's inclusion made it yet another collectible in relation to Dabura. The Hercule piece is the same as the prior Irwin Toy "World Tournament Saga" model and the Majin Buu piece is the same as the prior Irwin Toy "Majin Buu Saga" Majin Buu figure.

10th Anniversary Fat Buu

  • 10th Anniversary Collector Edition
  • Release date: 2005

Jakks Pacific has released a 10th Anniversary repackaged and redone Majin Buu as a part of the Dragon Ball Z series additions to the "10th Anniversary Collector Edition." Released in 2005, this specific piece portrays Majin Buu with some very minor touch-ups in terms of the paint job. Additionally, there's a small imprint on his pants which reads the 10th Anniversary as its initial paint job designation and differs the piece from the prior Majin Buu releases by Irwin and Jakks. The figure is entitled "Fat Buu" as his alternate naming scheme and he still maintains the same look and is seen with his hands in open postures in the packaging. The new paint job features a distinct shading palette as well as the distinctive logo mark on Majin Buu's pants which reads "DBZ 10 Year Anniversary." The box mockup is highlighted by a galactic blue background and numerous sparks as the backdrop. Majin Buu's image is featured on the box front in pictorial format and the packaging shape is that of an oval shape. The Majin Buu figure remains the same as the previous releases from prior packages offered by Jakks and Irwin but this is quite a rarity as it was released in scarce quantities, coincidentally making this piece highly collectible in this format. Other pieces included in this same 10th Anniversary set are Vegeta, Mr. Satan (entitled "Hercule"), Super Saiyan Gogeta (entited "SS Gogeta"), and Battle-Damaged Goku for the single pack figures. Additionally, double-packs were included in this collection, featuring Semi-Perfect Cell (entitled "Cell") vs. Tien, Recoome vs. Battle Damaged Goku, and Bardock vs. Goku.

Fat Buu vs. Babidi 2-pack including Dabura cookie

  • Jakk's Pacific's Limited Edition Paints series
  • Release date: 2005

Another re-release of the Majin Buu figure came alongside Babidi and the Dabura cookie and was made available in 2005 in a "DBZ Limited Edition Paints" series 2-pack set. It is described on the packaging as "Based off of the DBZ Animated Series." There is indeed some minor alterations in terms of the paint job and overall packaging being redone to create a different boxart and bubble, but the contents are still quite similar to previous molds. The Majin Buu, however, seems to have opened eyes in this version as opposed to his common closed-eye model. This is likely to emphasize his moment of crucial anger, as he barely opens his eyes. The Dabura cookie is slightly lighter in terms of its contrast but remains the same mold from previous releases. Babidi has had some minor touch-ups in terms of the coloring scheme but remains the same figure.

This one, however, is a new model in and of itself and was sculpted and sold as is. The paint job isn’t particularly brilliant but it is unique. This specific model is a unique mold made by the Mexican Manufacturers. His cape is made of clothing material and the model itself is slightly similar to the Super Battle Collection piece albeit having major differences. The holes on his head and the indents for his eyes and mouth are implemented with black coloring and the piece itself has very minimal articulation.
