Dragon Ball Wiki

The Luud Cult (ルード教団きょうだん Rūdo Kyōdan), also called Luudism,[2] or the Luud Order, are the worshippers of "Lord" Luud, a huge Machine Mutant. The cult is led by Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy, who is under the command of Dolltaki (himself acting on behalf of Dr. Myuu).

Followers of the Luud Cult

The Luud Cult was created around Age 775 by Dolltaki, and collects energy to feed into Luud. Regular members of the cult wear religious habits and red masks, while guards wear gray helmets. Cult members worship Ludd as a God of Destruction though most are apparently unaware he is a false deity. Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy has also the Para Brothers, as well as other subordinates, collecting the Black Star Dragon Balls for Dr. Myuu.

The cult was ultimately dismantled by Goku, Trunks, and Pan. Reformed members of the Luud Cult also appear in Shadow Dragon Saga, contributing their energy to Goku's Super Ultra Spirit Bomb so that he could topple Omega Shenron.

Video Game Appearances

Members of the Luud Cult (Luud Guards and Jet Guards) are enemies on Planet Luud in Dragon Ball GT: Transformation.

Cardinal Mutchy and Mutchy appear as playable characters in Dragon Ball Heroes, added in God Mission 6. They appear in the Baby Hatchiyack Saga where they are fought on Planet Luud, and make a minor appearance as a Normal battle in the Universal Conflict Saga. Luud appeared as a boss in the game from Galaxy Mission 1, where he was fought as a boss in the Dr. Myu Saga, and was made playable in Universe Mission 9. Cardinal Mutchy's HGD6-45 card has the ability Luud Cult, which allows him to link with an ally so that the ally deals critical STA damage with their attacks, and additionally triples the damage if the ally is Mutchy.
