List of wishes granted using the Dragon Balls

This is a list of wishes granted using the different sets of Dragon Balls.

Earth Dragon Balls (Shenron)

Pre-Dragon Ball

• An otherwise unknown character uses the Dragon Balls to become a king. It is highly probable that the ramifications of this wish are still being felt to the present day, as the entire world is unified into one giant kingdom, with regional provinces dotting the globe, as shown in the King Piccolo Saga.

Dragon Ball

• Oolong - Wishes for a pair of Panties off a "hot babe" (though he just yelled the first thing that came to his mind while trying to stop Emperor Pilaf from making his own wish). Due to censorship issues, the English dubs changed this wish to "the world's most comfortable pair of ultra-soft underwear" (brought forth Oceanus Shenron in Dragon Ball GT).
• Upa - Wishes for his father Bora to be revived (brought forth Haze Shenron in Dragon Ball GT).
• King Piccolo - Wishes for his youth to be restored (brought forth Nuova Shenron in 'Dragon Ball GT).
• Yamcha - Wishes to revive everyone killed by King Piccolo and his sons (brought forth Eis Shenron in 'Dragon Ball GT).

Dragon Ball Z

• Master Roshi - Wishes for Goku to be revived (brought forth Rage Shenron in 'Dragon Ball GT).
• Mr. Popo - Wishes for all those slain by Frieza and his henchmen on Planet Namek to be brought back to life (brought forth Syn Shenron in 'Dragon Ball GT).
• Yamcha - Wishes for all people killed by Cell to be revived.
• Krillin - Wishes for the Android Bombs in Android 17 and Android 18 to be removed.
• Bulma - Wishes that all the good people killed the day of the World Martial Arts Tournament to be revived. This resulted in Kibito being brought back to life along with the victims of the World Martial Arts Tournament (brought forth Naturon Shenron in 'Dragon Ball GT).
• All memories of the Buu massacres would be erased from the populace of Earth, save for the memories of the Dragon Team (brought forth Eis Shenron in GT).

Dragon Ball Super

• Sometime around the Android Saga of Dragon Ball Z, the Pilaf Gang wishes for their youth.
  • In the future timeline, as the androids attack Future Pilaf wished to be young again, resulting in him, Shu and Mai to be turned back in infants. Future Piccolo died afterwards (thus making it the last wish granted by Future Shenron). (manga only)
• Goku - Wishes for the knowledge of summoning the Super Saiyan God.
• Sorbet - Wishes for Frieza to be resurrected. (anime only)
• Shu - Wishes for one million Zeni. (anime only)
• Mai - Wishes for ice cream. (anime only)
• Beerus - Wishes for Shenron to "scram". (anime only)
• Gohan - Wishes to cure Pan's fever. (anime only)

Dragon Ball GT

• All the people of Earth who were killed after the doorway to Hell was opened (in Super 17 Saga) to be brought back to life (Shenron's last wish).

Films

• Penny - Wishes for her land to be peaceful and beautiful once again.
• Goku - Wishes for Bora to be revived.
• Goku - Wishes for Shenron to rebuild Android 8 and remove the bomb inside him.
• Garlic Jr. - Wishes for immortality.
• Dr. Kochin - Wishes for Dr. Wheelo to be released from his icy prison.
• Bulma, Gohan and Krillin - Wish to restore the forest.
• Lord Slug - Wishes for eternal youth.
• Goten - Wishes to himself that his father was there, and an image of Goku appears. However, he did not summon the dragon; Shenron acted on his own.
• Hoi - Wishes for the abnormally sealed music box containing Tapion to be opened.
• As they say their goodbyes to Tapion, Goku and friends mention that they will summon the dragon again to wish all the people back to life who died during the battle against Hirudegarn (this is only mentioned in the Japanese Version).
• The Pilaf Gang - Wish for youth prior to Battle of Gods..
• Beerus - Demands the knowledge on how to reach Super Saiyan God.
• Sorbet - Wishes for Frieza to be resurrected. This wish is referred to as "the worst wish in history", which caused the most despair.
• Shu - Wishes for one million Zeni.
• At the end of Resurrection ‘F’, Bulma mentions restoring North City with the Dragon Balls.
• Cheelai - Wishes from Broly to be sent back to Planet Vampa.

4D films

• Emperor Pilaf - Wishes for Frieza to be revived and powered up.

Shenron's brief appearance in a Japanese teaser for Dragonball Evolution

• Goku wishes for Roshi to be brought back to life.
• Mr. Satan - Wishes to become a king. After this, Shenron invites his friends to his cave for a tea party during the one-year break.
• Shenron granted a wish for a tractor for the Penguin Village.

Video games

• The Z Fighters wish that Bunbuku Island and all of the people on it who were killed when Frieza destroyed it be brought back.
• Kibito Kai wishes for the Potara to be repaired.
• Piccolo wishes for Teen Gohan to be sent back to his time after the latter was brought to the time of Super Janemba's attack in the game (two years after Kid Buu's defeat).
• Future Dende wishes to get rid of New Namek's Big Gete Star, Namekians killed by Future Cooler and his henchmen, and Namekian homes.
• Future Mr. Satan interrupts Future Babidi's wish to Future Shenron by wishing to be the most popular person in the universe.
• In Age 850, Future Trunks wishes for a warrior with great power to aid him in protecting time.
• In Age 778, Demigra wishes for Frieza, Cell, and Kid Buu to be brought back from the Netherworld.
• In Age 850, Chronoa wishes for Goku's help in the conflict with Demigra.
• In Age 779, Towa and Mira prevent the Pilaf Gang from using the Dragon Ball's second wish and use the second wish to revive Cooler who is reconstructed into Meta-Cooler and takes part in Frieza's revenge.
• In Age 850, Towa alters history by killing Shenron before Xeno Trunks can make the wish to summon the Future Warrior resulting in a massive time distortion in all the scroll capable of effecting the Time Nest and Conton City in Age 852. However Xeno Trunks manages to remember the correct history and finds the source of the change. As the Time Vault is on the verge of destroying itself the 2nd Future Warrior travels back to Age 850 to prevent Shenron's death and together with Xeno Trunks' past self defeats Towa allowing Xeno Trunks to make the wish correcting history.
• In Age 852, at the behest of Tokitoki, Goku, and Beerus, Chronoa wishes for a feast that will leave everybody satisfied to celebrate the return of Tokitoki's Egg and the defeat of Towa and Mira in Age ???. According to Chronoa, Shenron created the feast using food from Earth.
• Tekka and Pinich summon Shenron to wish for a tournament to determine the strongest in time and space. Due to the sheer nature of the wish, Shenron uses a lot of power to grant it and creates the Timespace Rift a warped dimension where different timelines and dimensions are connected allowing different people from different timelines to interact which is necessary for the Timespace Tournament that was created by their wish.
• In the Timespace Rift in Area 4F near the ruins of his castle, Emperor Pilaf summons Shenron and wishes for a strong fighter to eliminate tournament fighters that had accosted the Pilaf Gang while they were searching for the Dragon Balls. Shenron grants the wish but due to Pilaf no specifying the nature of the fighter, Shenron summons the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly who rampages in search of Kakarot leading him to target Kid Goku. This leads Tekka's Team to summon Towa and Mira by opening time holes that combine into a large rift. Towa turns Broly into a Legendary Great Ape but he is defeated by Tekka's Team and blasted away by Beerus who was alerted to the Timespace Tournament due to Great Ape Broly's energy.

Frieza Saga

• Dende wished for Piccolo to be revived.
• Dende wished for Piccolo to be transported to Namek.
• Dende wished for everyone except Goku and Frieza to be transported to Earth.
• Dende wished for Krillin's soul to be transported to Earth's Check-In Station.
• Dende wished for Krillin to be revived.
• Dende wished for Yamcha to be revived.
• Dende wished for Chiaotzu to be revived.
• Dende wished for Tien Shinhan to be revived.
• Dende wished to transport all Namekians, except for Piccolo and Kami, to a new planet.

Kid Buu Saga

• Dende wished for the reconstruction of Earth.

• Moori wished for the reconstruction of Earth after it was destroyed by the Black Star Dragon Ball's side effects.

  • Beerus tells Whis to wish for Universe 6's Earth to be restored and the humans along with it.
• Zamasu in his original unaltered timeline wished to switch bodies with Monaka while under the impression he was stronger than Goku, only to realize that Monaka was actually a weakling. (manga bonus chapter only)
• Zamasu in his original unaltered timeline wished to switch bodies with Goku in an act to steal his body.
• Future Zamasu used the Super Dragon Balls and wished for immortality for a long term plan to destroy all mortals in his timeline.
• Future Zamasu wished to destroy the Super Dragon Balls in his timeline.
• Asked by the Grand Minister in the Null Realm.
  • Android 17 wished to restore the erased universes that participated in the Tournament of Power.

• Beerus wished to destroy the roots of the Universe Tree.

• Ultimate Tenkaichi Hero wished to revive everyone killed by Omega Shenron's chaos.

• Demigra wished for the ability to undo Mechikabura's mind control in the game, and the power of light in the manga.
• Mechikabura in the game wished for Dark Shenron to use the Chaos Ball to destroy spacetime.
