Skill Type[]
- Flight
- Unleash Latent Power 1 - Increases the base number of ki bars of the character equipped with it by one bar, at the cost of slower charging. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Unleash Latent Power 2 - Increases the base number of ki bars of the character equipped with it by two bars, at the cost of slower charging. This item takes up three spaces.
- Unleash Latent Power 3 - Increases the base number of ki bars of the character equipped with it by three bars, at the cost of slower charging. This item costs 4 spaces.
- Ki Control - Halves ki use in Dragon Dash, though the character's defense stats are lowered by 1.
- Dragon Dash Mastery - Allows the character to use Dragon Dash without losing ki, though the character's defense stats are lowered by 1, and effectiveness in clashes is reduced. This item costs 4 spaces.
- High Spot - Halves ki use for Rush Rapid Movement, allowing the character to teleport in the middle of a combo twice as much, though the actual damage dealt by the combo is reduced. This item costs one space.
- Essence of Sight - Reduces ki use for Rush Rapid Movement to zero, allowing the character to teleport in the middle of a combo as much as the character desires, though the actual damage dealt by the combo is reduced. This item costs two spaces.
- Warrior Lineage - Z Burst Dash Ki use is halved and Auto-Counter Ki use is halved.
- Halo - Decreases a portion of a character's health but makes it easier for them to charge up. This item can only be used by good characters.
- Demon Seal - Decreases a portion of a character's health but makes it easier for them to charge up. This item can only be used by evil characters.
- Satisfying Blow - Causes the Blast 2/Ultimates of the character equipped with it to ignore the defense of their opponent and deal damage; however the character's ki charging becomes slower. This item costs one space.
- Active Heart - If equipped with a character, causes the character's ki to rise when using combos. This item costs 1 space.
- Indomitable Fighting Spirit - If equipped with a character, causes the character's ki to rise when using combos. This item costs 2 spaces and is good-only.
- Mind Breaker - Mind Breaker costs an opponent extra Ki in a Guard Crush. This item costs 1 space.
- Gigantic Power - Gigantic Power costs an opponent a great deal of Ki in a Guard Crush. In Budokai Tenkaichi 3, this item is evil-only and costs 2 spaces.
- Rising Fighting Spirit - It sets the user's ki gauge to its maximum value at the beginning of a battle.
- Secret Measures - An item that gives a character the maximum number of Blast 1 stock at the beginning of a battle
- Proof of Friendship - Causes the character equipped with it to have a full switch gauge from the beginning of the fight. However, the switch gauge will not fill up as quickly. This item costs 1 space.
- Dende's Healing Ability - Slightly restores the user's health over time.
- Eternal Life
- Tension Up - Gradually restores ki over the course of a battle; this item uses 2 spaces.
- High Tension
- Water Blessing - Allows a character to regain lost health and ki while in water. This item will work on Namek, Islands, Mountain Road (both versions), Kame House and Glacier. This item can only be equipped to evil characters.
- Spiritual Control - Decreases the number of Blast Stocks used by Blast 1 techniques by 1; however the number of Blast Stocks used must be at least one. This item costs 3 spaces.
- Lover of Justice - Decreases the number of Blast Stocks used by Blast 1 techniques by 1; however the number of Blast Stocks used must be at least one. Also, Devilman's Devilmite Beam does less damage to the character equipped with this item. This item also decreases Ki Power stats by 1. This item costs 2 spaces, and is good-only.
- Evil Ambitions - Decreases the number of Blast Stocks used by Blast 1 techniques by 1; however the number of Blast Stocks used must be at least one. However, Devilman's Devilmite Beam does more damage to the character equipped with this item and this item also decreases Ki Power stats by 1. This item costs 2 spaces, and is evil-only.
- Dragon Heart - Regains an extra Blast Stock for a character every time the character uses Rapid Movement to dodge a Blast 2 or Ultimate Blast. This item also decreases Blast Gauge recharging time. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Dragon Beat - Regains an extra Blast Stock for a character every time the character uses Rapid Movement to dodge a Blast 2 or Ultimate Blast. This item costs 3 spaces.
- Dragon Spirit - Increases the speed at which the Blast Gauge of the character equipped with it recharges. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Confidence - Increases the speed at which the Blast Gauge of the character equipped with it recharges. However, the speed at which the Switch Gauge recharges is decreased. This item costs 1 space and is evil-only.
- Battle Control - Increases the speed at which the Switch Gauge of the character equipped with it recharges. This item costs 1 space.
- Kibito's Secret Art - Teammates in a team battle will regain their ki, health, and Blast Gauge more quickly when on standby with this item. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Persistent Threat - Makes a character do an Afterimage after being knocked down, though the Blast Gauge of that character fills up more slowly. This item costs 1 space, and is good-only.
- Miracle Master - Makes a character do an Afterimage after being knocked down. This item takes up 2 spaces.
- Exquisite Skill - Increases the length of time it takes for a stun/restraint effect inflicted on the opponent to wear off. Additionally, this item also decreases the length of time stun/restraint effects stay on oneself. this item costs one space.
- Quick Return - Allows the character equipped with it to recover faster when knocked unconscious, and allows the character to recover faster from a guard break. This item costs 1 space, and is good-only.
- Unleash Ki - Gives the character equipped with it a small advantage in an energy clash or a Dragon Dash clash. This item costs 1 space.
- Quick Charge Capsule - Enables the equipped character to charge Blast 2 attacks much more quickly with a boost.
- Power of Rage - Gives the character equipped with it an advantage in an energy clash or a Dragon Dash clash. This item gives more of an advantage than Unleash Ki, but less than Dragon Power. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Dragon Power - Gives the character equipped with it a considerable advantage in an Energy Clash or a Dragon Dash clash. This item costs 3 spaces.
- Latent Energy! - Decreases the damage done to the fighter after loss of a health bar.
- Fighting Spirit! - Allows a character to charge Ki more quickly after the loss of a health bar.
- Indignation! - When equipped, the player's character loses at least one health bar, but the attack power of their Blast 2 and Ultimate Blast goes up.
- Serious! - When a character loses at least one health bar, it increases the character's attack.
- Hatred of Saiyans - Allows an evil character to regain Ki constantly
- Rush Blast 1 - Slightly increases the speed of Rush Blasts of the character equipped with it. This item costs 1 space.
- Rush Blast 2 - Slightly increases the attack power of Rush Blasts of the character equipped with it. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Rush Blast 3 - Slightly increases the speed and attack power of Rush Blasts of the character equipped with it, as well as halving ki usage of Rush Blasts. This item costs 3 spaces.
- Guard Master - Makes the character equipped with it immune to Guard Crushes, allowing the character to not have to aim his/her guard. However, this item will not protect against a Blast 2 rush attack slamming into the character or a Blast 2 or Ultimate Blast that forces a cutscene such as Broly's Omega Blaster. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Mirage - If the character equipped with it dodges one barrage type energy blast, they will automatically dodge the rest. This item costs 1 space.
- Warrior's Will - Halves damage taken while guarding for the character equipped with it. This item costs 1 space, and is good-only.
- Evil Pride - Halves damage taken while guarding for the character equipped with it. This item costs 1 space, and is evil-only.
- Sparking Plus - Lets a character charge their ki more quickly. If one equips this to a character as well as Style of the Strong, it may only take a character five seconds to charge up to Max Power.
- Emperor's Aura - Allows a character to harm giant characters with melee attacks. It can only be used by evil characters (unless using an action replay). You buy this in the Item Shop.
- Savior - Allows a character to go into their full power once a character switches with them in battle.
- Light Body - Makes the character equipped with it not able to be easily stunned or hit backwards by Rush Blasts. This item costs 1 space.
- Master Strike - Increases damage dealt by melee attacks, referred to in the game as Rush and Smash attacks. This item also decreases Super stats by 2 and decreases Throw attack damage. This item costs 1 space.
- Master Blast - Increases damage dealt by Rush Blast attacks, and substantially increases Rush Blast speed while halving ki usage. This item also decreases Rush and Smash attack damage. This item costs 1 space.
- Master Throw - Doubles damage dealt by Throw attacks. This item also makes Rush Blasts produce fewer shots, use more ki and do less damage. This item costs 1 space.
- Charged Attack - Increases damage dealt by Smash attacks, while decreasing damage dealt by Rush attacks. This item costs 1 space.
- Quick Fast Attack - Increases damage dealt by Rush attacks, while decreasing damage dealt by Smash attacks. This item costs 1 space.
- Dragon Break - Increases the amount of Dragon Homing attacks a character can do by 1. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Dragon Crush - Increases the amount of Dragon Homing attacks a character can do by 2. This item costs 4 spaces.
- Vanishing Break - Increases the amount of Vanishing attacks a character can do by 1. This item costs 2 spaces.
- Vanishing Rush - Increases the amount of Vanishing attacks a character can do by 1. This item costs 4 spaces.
- Super Senses - If equipped, the player is able to lock on faster.
- Namek Power - Increases all abilities while on the Namek stage. Namek Power is similar to Universal Power, Earth Power, and Resistor.
- Earth Power - It increases all abilities of the character equipped with it while fighting on any map that is located on Earth.
- Universal Power - It increases all abilities on any map that is not on Earth or Namek.
- Style of the Strong - Allows a character to have max power mode last longer.
- Miracle Sparking - Allows any character it is equipped on to perform an Afterimage Technique at any time while in MAX Power Mode.
- Power Body - If equipped, the player cannot be stunned easily by a striking attack. However, the player takes more damage then usual.
- Ultimate Body - If equipped, the player cannot be stunned easily by a striking attack or energy blast. However, the player takes on damage easier. This item costs 5 spaces.
- Draconic Aura - Allows a character to damage other characters that would normally not be damaged as badly from melee attacks, such as giant characters.
- Broly's Ring - If a character has this item equipped, they cannot transform in battle.
- Aura Charge Blue - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to blue.
- Aura Charge Purple - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to purple.
- Aura Charge Yellow - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to yellow.
- Aura Charge Red - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to red.
- Aura Charge Green - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to green.
- Aura Charge White - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to white.
- Aura Charge Pink - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to pink.
- Aura Charge Violet - When equipped, it changes the character's aura to violet.
- Aura Charge Ultimate - When equipped, the character's aura will be like that of a Super Saiyan.
- Aura Charge Ultimate 3 - When equipped, the character's aura will be like that of a Super Saiyan 3.
- Aura Charge Ultimate 4 - When equipped, the character's aura will be like that of a Super Saiyan 4 and the user also gets an extra ki bar..
- Master Roshi's Training - Raises a characters health by ten-thousand (one health bar).
- King Kai's Training - Increases a character's health by 20,000 (2 health bars). It is worth twice as many slots and has twice the effect of Master Roshi's Training, which increases a character's health by 10,000.
- 18's Kiss - Enables two additional uses of Dragon Homing and Vanishing Attack.
- #17's Scarf - Cannot be stunned easily by Energy Blast. Cannot be stunned easily by Striking Attack. Increase in power to stun opponent.
- Medical Machine
- Launch's Support - It doubles the Z Points you gain in Dragon History Mode. It also makes the user's Ki charge faster (for the Androids for example, and the others who cannot charge).
Strategy Type[]
- Goku Type - Attack and defense evenly balanced. Emphasizes close combat.
- Vegeta Type - Attack and defense evenly balanced. Emphasizes using energy blasts from a distance.
- Gohan Type - Attack and defense evenly balanced. Becomes offensive while in MAX POWER Mode.
- Trunks Type - Emphasizes attack. Emphasizes Rush Attack and other high-speed attacks.
- Piccolo Type - Emphasizes defense. Concentrates on putting up consistent defense and exploiting the opponent's openings.
- Krillin Type - Attack and defense evenly balanced. Emphasizes energy blasts, Blast 2, and other attacks that use Ki.
- Tien Type - Emphasizes attack. Emphasizes close-range Rush and Ultimate Blast.
- Chiaotzu Type - Emphasizes defense. Makes irregular movements and use many Blast 1 attacks.
- Yajirobe Type - Emphasizes defense. Fights by evading the opponent, using Ki, and refilling the Blast Gauge.
- Frieza Type - Attack and defense evenly balanced. Emphasizes Blast 1, Blast 2, and Ultimate Blasts.
- Cell Type - Attack and defense evenly balanced. Emphasizes attacking from dashes and then moving away; a "hit and run" strategy.
- Majin Buu Type - Emphasizes attack. Emphasizes barrage attacks and combos.

- Strength Enhancement - Increases a character's health by 30,000 (3 health bars). It is the opposite of Strength Reduction.
- Strength Reduction - allows to decrease the user's Health by 30,000. Strength Reduction -10k and Strength Reduction -20k exist. It is the opposite of Strength Enhancement.
- Blast Clash Weakened (Small) - Decreases effectiveness of the character equipped with it in Blast Clashes. This item is a Red Potara item.
- Blast Clash Weakened (Medium) - Decreases effectiveness of the character equipped with it in Blast Clashes. This item is a Red Potara item.
- Blast Clash Weakened (Large) - Decreases effectiveness of the character equipped with it in Blast Clashes. This item is a Red Potara item.
- Absolutely Invincible Body - Reduces all damage inflicted on the wearer to 0. The item is not usable in any other game mode and is used in the story mode only to show huge differences in characters' power.
- Go To Hell - Allows a Blast 2/Ultimate Blast attack to become a 1-hit KO attack by increasing the damage dealt by it to 99,999. The item is not usable in any other game mode and is used in the story mode only to show huge differences in character's power.
- Super Mode - Allows the players and the computers health to become 15x faster than the Super Regeneration Cells and regain a large amount of health during battle.
- Extreme Hand to Hand - Increases damage caused by close range attacks like punching combos, Kiai cannons, Heavy Finishes, Rush Ki Waves, etc.

- Extreme Defense - Greatly increases the Defense stat.
- Resistor - Makes a player stronger and more powerful on any map. It is much stronger and superior to the Namek Power, Universal Power and Earth Power Yellow Potara items.
- Super Regeneration Cells - Allows the player to regenerate health much faster than Eternal Life, Water Blessing and Dende's Healing Ability.
- Complete Ki Control - Allows all moves and techniques to require less or no ki.
- God of Battle - Serves as a Red Potara (an ultimate item which when all of them are used will power your character up to the highest point). When equipped, Blast 2 and Ultimate Blast attacks do 1/6th of the damage on the character equipped than usual.

- Strength Reduction -10k - Allows to decrease the user's Health by 10,000.
- Strength Reduction -20k - Allows to decrease the user's Health by 20,000.
- Limitbreaker - Allows a character to gain the ability to surpass limits.
- Inherited Power - It increases all stats by two.
- Ultimate Warrior 3 - This Z-Item only appears when a password from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is entered in the Data Center. It boosts all of the character's stats (Attack, Defense, Ki, & Super) to their maximum levels. It only costs one space. It is Budokai Tenkaichi 3's response to equipping 5 "Title: Tenkaichi" Z-Items to a character (which also boosts the characters stats to their max).
