Kenji Shimizu (清水 賢治 Shimizu Kenji) is the Japanese president of Fuji Television. He is also a producer, and the director of media promotion and development for Fuji Television Network. He was involved in the planning of a number of anime and dramas.
Biography[]
Kenji Shimizu joined Fuji Television after he graduated from Keio University in 1983. Since joining the company, he served as a director for TV productions, film producer, and director of the Fuji film production business office.
He produced several successful franchises and also participated in the planning of many late-night shows.
On June 26, 2009, Kenji Shimizu joined the Planning Department of Fuji Media Holdings, Inc. On June 28, 2012, he became the media promotion and development director for Fuji Television Network. On January 27, 2025, Shimizu became the president of Fuji TV, replacing predecessor Kōichi Minato who resigned the previous day due to a company scandal.[1]
