Kamekameha[4] (かめかめ波 Kamekameha, lit. "Turtle Turtle Wave") is a mispronounced and misdirected version of the Kamehameha used by Goten.

Overview

When Goten uses this attack, it creates an energy wave like the normal Kamehameha, but the only difference is that it loses direction and flies anywhere. This is presumably because Goten has not learned to control the direction of his energy attacks.

Usage and Power

Goten used this attack during his match against Trunks in the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. However, Trunks and the World Tournament Announcer dodged the attack, which then blasted a hole through the World Tournament waiting room. In the Funimation dub, Goten says the words correctly, but was never taught how to control it (though in the Dragon Ball Z Kai dub, he again mispronounces it as in the Japanese version).

Goten also tries to use this attack combined with Trunks' Kamehameha to destroy Bio-Broly within a cloning tank, but the Bio-Saiyan can prevent the attack. Later, Goten again used this technique to intercept the Culture Fluid in the Mei Queen Castle to help his friends.

The attack appears and functions just like the regular Kamehameha in the video games Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 3, Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22, and Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury.

It deals 25% more in damage while only being able to be used by Goten in Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors.

Goten's technique is called "Kamehameha" in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and Raging Blast series, though he says "Kamekameha!!" while powering up the attack.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the Kamekameha appears as Goten's Super Skill and compared to the Kamehameha, the Kamekameha is much faster, although cannot be charged past level one, putting it on par with the Galick Gun. It can also be obtained by the Future Warrior as a reward in Parallel Quest 53: "Dangerous Duo! Warriors Never Rest".
