Kaio-ken Finish (界王拳フィニッシュ Kaiō-Ken Finisshu, lit. "Worlds' King's Fist Finish") is a Rush Attack used by Goku.

Overview[]

First, Goku charges at the opponent and kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up after the opponent and double axe-handle punches them down to the ground. Next, he powers up to his Kaio-ken technique as he charges down at the opponent and double-punches them in their back. Finally, Goku quickly lands on the ground and catches the opponent on their back before throwing them onto the ground, inflicting a great deal of damage.

Usage[]

Goku uses this attack to defeat Nappa. Frustrated that he is unable to defeat Goku, Nappa decides to take his anger out on Gohan and Krillin. Nappa charges down to the ground where the frightened Gohan and Krillin are and prepares to kill them with Break Cannon, with Goku in pursuit. Realizing he is not fast enough to stop Nappa, Goku activates his Kaio-ken technique and attacks Nappa with the Kaio-ken Finish, breaking the Saiyan's back and saving Gohan and Krillin. Goku states that Nappa's injuries are so severe that he is unable to fight ever again.

During the events on Planet Namek, Goku uses this technique to defeat Burter, though seemingly without using Kaio-ken.

He also uses it to kill Kishime in Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest.

Goku uses a similar technique to break Medamatcha's spine in Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug, killing him instantly.
